Target - I was told that hand soaps were not included. Why they put the sign there? - Department Stores Near Me - Duarte, California

Went here for the new twilight book they were stocked with books.I have been to other targets but this one was so organized and and had a ton more books. Their other departments were fully stocked and versatile especially hair care products. My favorite brand of hair care is Shea moisture they had such a variety I never see at other targets. Their self checkout stand was efficient there was kind of a long line but 2 minutes later I was already checking out. The register was cleaned and ready to use. read more

Probably one of my least favorite Target stores... although Anaheim is close. Generally the shoe section looks like it's been cleaned out and there never seems to be the inventory I want in the store. Generally, very clean and staff is accommodating when you need them. But at the end of the day, I feel like I'm wasting time here because I feel like I need to go to another Target store to get everything that I need. read more

This Target is okay. The employees are usually sloppy and seem to hate their job. When I made a return today the employee was actually telling another associate how much she didn't want to be there. Nice! I usually get pet supplies here. Last week they had my cat's dry food for 50% off! Their new grocery section is pretty nice. As far as prices go, they're somewhere between Fresh & Easy and Pavilions. The only problem section for me is the clothing. Their plus-size section is almost non-existent. The Pasadena locations have much larger plus-size areas. +1 star for having the neatest clearance clothing section of any Target I've ever seen. The items are always sorted by size and it's never messy. BEWARE: Thoroughly inspect shoes before you purchase them - ESPECIALLY shoes that are on clearance. Many of the "clearance" pairs are shoes that ghetto people have worn a few times and then returned. I've picked up a few pairs, thinking they were a great bargain, only to notice that the soles were worn and dirty. Some of them even have worn spots on the insoles. Gross! You can't expect me to believe that someone did that much damage just trying them on in the store! read more

I love target, the store, but it gets bumped way down for my Photo experiences, especially the most recent one. Store=4, photo=0 I've had an experience before where I receive a confirmation that my online order was ready to pick up, and it wasn't. But this one took the cake. I had an order a few days ago, and one today. I received emails confirming they were both ready for pickup. I arrived and the woman meandered from customer service to help me, asked if I was sure of the spelling of my last name (duh) and could not find my order. After a few minutes of doing the same thing over and over, she called someone else over. I believe her name is Vero. Now she was a wonder. Her level of sloth and apathy are unmatched in my history of customer service interactions. Vero proceeded to do the exact same thing the first woman did in trying to find my order and failing to do so. When I explained that I had confirmation, she didn't even try to figure out an explanation as to why I would get a pickup email when the order was not there. She then proceeded to avoid and wander. An epic effort to wander while hoping I would just give up and go away. Because, she never gave any finality to our transaction. Never any, "I'm really sorry, I don't know why your order isn't here. It should be done by tomorrow, please come back then and accept this coupon as our apology." Nope. Just no response and wander. First she got a coworker and looked at the printers, pulled them out and stared at them. Then she went in the back and got a box. Then she placed the box on the counter and looked at another box, never opening the original box. Then she walked, stopped, PAUSED, and picked something off of her shoulder. Then she wandered around some more, ALL WHILE I STARED AT HER WAITING FOR ANY SORT OF CONCLUSION. So I asked again, and she explained that all she knows how to do is ring up orders and replace the paper. Ever since the remodel, bla bla bla bla bla... "I could give you a coupon when you come back to get the order..." Oh hell no, if I'm getting a coupon out of this, it's gonna be now. No response. Then the phone rang. And without so much as a "hold on," she walked away. Eventually she meandered back to customer service, then back to me, with two $3 coupons, and I left. She never even said anything as she handed me the coupons. I don't know if I'll ever get those photos. read more

What? No reviews for this Target? Well then, I should give you the full experience. This Target is right off Huntington in a strip mall full of other shops I don't care about but if Target doesn't have your items, then surely the other places do? Nah, I don't need to find out. There is a police sub-station here so be prepared to unexpectedly stop as they break the traffic rules weaving in and out of the place. Apparently they always have right of way. This Target is a bit on the smaller side but they have a garden center which you can access from the left-hand side of the store through their random aisles of bulk items. I managed to find everything I needed except a new do-hickey to hold my toiletries in the shower. I thought for sure this item that hangs over the shower head was with the other organizational items (i.e. plastic storage boxes, or perhaps with the sponges and toilet plungers?). No, okay, perhaps it's in the bathroom stuff (next to bedding)? I wandered in and out of the aisle but only found the shelving that goes in the corner of the tub. A worker noticed my slightly peevish, crazy go-karting around the store and she told me it was in the hardware section. Hardware? A basket for shower gel would be there? And yes, she was right. Oh no, there are too many choices. Plastic? Nickle finish? Hmm, how about something with suction cups? Nah, better get something that can hang of the shower head. When I presented my Target shopping bags to the cashier to bag my items, she was confused. Yes, lady, I want you to use these reusable bags, not plastic. She ended up not being able to really do it and called over the manager! What the? I'm never going back to this Target if I can help it. I mean, it's not like I need another toiletries do-hickey anytime soon. read more

Target - Department Stores Near Me - Duarte, California

My visit to this store made me open a yelp account to talk about my experience. A few days ago, I came from another Target store that didn't have what I was looking for (that store was no help and rude employees) . when I found someone to help me the guy looked very busy. But when I asked him for what I was looking for he said to give him a minute and he would be back to help me. He came back and I was shock. I thought he was going to ditch me and ignore me. When I told him what I was looking for he went and took me to get the item. He didn't tell me where it was, he walked with me and got it for me of the shelf and gave it to me. I didn't get his name so when I was at the cash out area I ask the girl when I paid the description of the guy who helped me. She said it was phieonix. This is not a target store that is near my house. But with that customer service that I got ill make sure to come back. read more

I don't usually make yelp reviews but this is the first time I've felt like I had to. I came to target to get some shopping done. This target is my local target so I come here pretty often. Today, I overheard this one employee talking down to another employee. Her tone was condescending and disrespectful. I was so shocked by this that I needed to get the name of this rude employee and her name was Nancy. I've seen this girl around before and every time I see her, she looks angry and miserable. She has a bad attitude and I'm surprised she still works there. This was the first time I ever saw an employee being mistreated and it made me not want to shop at this location anymore. read more

It's Target! I've been to several Targets, and their competitors. This store is definitely not one of the best ones I've been to, but it's far from being the worse. And this target is located not far from a Walmart, but I prefer Target to the competing Walmart. Cleanliness and organization This store does an ok job organizing the store. I've visited a few targets, this weekend, and at this store I had a hard time finding the particular items I was looking for, and at the other stores they were front and center. This store does a great job keeping the floor clean. It's rare when I've seen things out of place. Customer Service I haven't had any bad experiences at this particular store with employees. However, that may be because I don't really need/ask for help often, and I'd usually walk around like an idiot for a while before i ask for assistance. On the rare occasions that I've asked for help, employees have managed to point me to the things that I've been looking for. That being said, I've never been asked whether I need help/assistance at this particular store. read more

This place I try to avoid like the plague. I go here rarely... The bs is real here. I receive good customer service once in a blue moon. This place got real bad. The last time I went a couple used their kid to hold stolen merchandize. The security guard still caught their ass and brought them back in. I routinely see people stealing from here. Oh and then there was the crackhead. What's funny is it's next to the safety station that has cops. At 10-11pm it sounds and looks like an out of control day care center. In case people haven't figured it out, this place went bad when Ralphs and fresh and easy closed. Ralphs got bad and stayed bad. And F&E got bad crowds when they had sales. So they stopped having them that much. Closing sales it was ridiculous. Anyways, point is the crowd transferred over to target. Till there's a store that opens up at Ralphs, it's going to be bad and get worse. Sales of target are non existing. I've noticed that a lot of stuff I buy here is stale, goes stale or bad quickly. They have no idea how to handle produce. So if you buy supermarket stuff here, you're wasting your money. I've had bread go moldy or stale 2-3 days after I buy it. People here are rude and will avoid customers to go gossip to their homies that work with them. Kind of don't blame them because the people in target now are walmartish but too lazy to go out there. read more

Horrible customer service!!! The lady that helped me with checkout sighed when i gave her my 5 coupons, then rolled her eyes when i told her i had Cartwheel offers and that she forgot my bag credit. Don't work for Target if you dont want to deal with people! I would give zero stars if i could. read more

Went to this Target twice these past couple of days to get some Christmas lights and decor. Both times I was helped by Jason and felt that he went above and beyond to try and find me what I needed. Awesome customer service! read more

My experience here is with an online order I came to pickup at the store. I was greeted right away. The process was so fast. They requested my ID and getting my item was super quick! Would definitely do this experience all over again and shop again at this location to further my review. read more

I like going to this Target because of it's convenient location and it's rarely busy. The last time I was there, one of the helpful team members told me it's a smaller location, so they don't have everything some of the other Targets had, which is why they didn't have what I was looking for. But, overall, this Target is great. They have a good selection of products at Target prices, including a descent size produce and food section. The team members are always helpful and friendly and unless you're there on Black Friday, the lines are pretty quick. read more

Its better than Walmart but still not that good of a Target. They've got a decent-sized store. It caries everything that I need and the place is clean. Its always been well stocked and they do a good job of organizing things (unlike Walmart). However, as with other people, the customer service is a bit lacking. I'm used to friendlier cashiers and store associates at other Target locations. However, since I can only choose between this place and the Walmart down the street, I have to settle with this Target. read more

First of all, I love Target! The reason I rate this store 3 stars was because I just found tons of expired benzoyl peroxide gel in store and other cream from La Roche Posay was expired also. I grabbed all of them to the customer service attention... but I am sure there are more. Just look at the expiration date when you purchase anything from now on. read more

Tim at the customer service desk was great and helped us out with our return. Very helpful, target should be happy to have an employee like him. read more

What can one say, it is, after all, a Target Store? The staff keeps things neat and tidy and the staff in general is friendly. As I often say in my reviews, this is a sign of good management. That doesn't mean that I have run across a really poor employee, I have, but that is a rare occurrence. Prices here are very competitive with other large retailers and the quality often better. There is less poor quality Chinese goods than you might find in Brand W. read more

This is my local Target. And over the course of the years it has supplied me with many things including, but not limited to my home furniture, toiletries, backpacks, luggages, preparing for my offspring's arrival, and all her clothing/bathing needs from newborn until now that she is 6 years old. I've been coming here since high school and it has had a couple of major renovations that I can remember such as adding the grocery parts & now the newly (May-ish 2015) built Starbucks. There have been many nights that I had had to come here for formula, medicine, or for a baby wipes run and for that alone, I have a wave of nostalgia for this place. Large parking lot and courteous staff. Most of the time when there are lines, I can hear the staff, on their portable walkie talkies, trying to alleviate by opening as many registers as possible. The only thing I don't like is when they push their Target Red Card when I'm in a rush. It's like "no, just give me my receipt please". read more

Target. You are breaking my heart. What happened to the trust? I just bought a snack today at Lunch time (1/28/2016) which I ate 3/4 of it...to find out that it was expired in DEC 2014. I only checked expiration date because it seemed a bit stale, bit since it was the first time I had that brand I wouldn't know what it should test like. This is absolutely ridiculous! DO NOT TRUST Target since they don't have good shelf stock procedures. I better not get sick on this since I am pregnant. I will be stopping by to report the incident. read more

This is a good Target to visit. They have food, alcohol, and everything else you expect a Target to have. It is clean, the staff is friendly and it is usually well stocked. My only complaint is that I am not sure how they decide what beers to carry, and in what amounts, because 50% of the time they don't have what I enjoy to drink in stock. The lines are usually short--a huge plus--and the shoppers are usually happy-go-lucky so the entire shopping experience is pretty good. read more

Normally love this Target but for over a month now when I shop, the items I purchase are not on the shelves. No matter what time or day I shop. I was told the shelves are stocked on Tuesday, come on Tuesday & Wednesday. Things not here. Today was my 3rd time voicing my compliments. I was told I need to shop early. Again I will have to make a stop at another market to get the items on my list they didn't have. read more

I had to double check and make sure I wasn't in Walmart. I went on a Wednesday and most of the shelves in the food section were empty. They were out of a lot of stuff which was annoying because I was trying to get everything I needed at Target but I still needed to go to the store after leaving here. They also only had two lanes open at 6:00pm. They should know most people are stopping after work. I love Target but this was my worst experience! read more

This review is for Erika, one of the CVS pharmacy techs that work here. This was my first time visiting this CVS and I was very surprised by the customer service provided by Erika. This CVS will now be my family's go-to pharmacy. Thank you again Erika for the wonderful experience! read more

Target's continues to live up to their poor reputation! I work at an acute care hospital so with the current COVID19 situation, placing an online order for same day delivery made sense. Target promotes & advertises Shipt for same day deliveries so I gave it a try. . . wrong choice! First, I selected an open time slot of 8-9pm on Sunday, which worked well since I got off of work earlier. I kept track on the status of my order & around 7:10pm, I receive a message that my shopper began pulling my order and I was ecstatic thinking how great this was but it was all downhill after this: 1)7:32pm - received an update status notice that now due to high volume, they would be unable to deliver my order & rescheduled it for the next day, which was Monday at 9-10am. What the heck! This is not same day delivery as advertised plus they charged a fee for this! I gave in because I needed the items so badly plus my hubby would be home to receive the order as it states that someone must be there to receive the order. 2)10:05am, I called my hubby from work to see if the order was delivered & he said it hadn't arrived. I asked him to go outside to verify that no packages where left anywhere and there was none. I checked my order status & it states delivery was done at 9:42am & left at front door. In fact, I received a text notice asking me to rate and/or tip the delivery guy, really??? I call my husband back & he said all morning, he was sitting in our front room that has a window next to our front door that faces the street. In addition, we have 2 dogs that bark at everything & they did not bark at all. 3)Furious, I called the Target customer service line & had to wait for 15 minutes! Finally, after a customer service rep checked my order to only be told that she could not help me since Shipt was the contracted shipper so all she could do was transfer me to Shipt . . . Permahold for another 10 minutes, yay!!!! Finally, a Shipt rep checks on the order & goes down the script: did we check everywhere outside, the front door, the side, behind the wall, etc. Response is yes, yes & yes but no package. Then the rep asks me to hold while she contacts the delivery guy. She says that he claims he didn't feel safe to ring the doorbell because fear of COVID19 . . . he could have knocked & stepped back. I responded that if he delivered my order that my husband would have saw him and/ or the dogs wound have barked. Then the rep states that he said that he delivered to a house that had 3 cars parked in the driveway so then I replied that it was definitely not my house since there were no cars in the driveway plus my driveway is located on the side and not in front. The rep finally says that she guess that the delivery guy most likely did not deliver it to my house . . . no shit Sherlock, do you think?! All she can do now is credit my credit card but it will take a few business days yet I am still without any supplies that I need. 4)Target & Shipt website is not user friendly to help with any delivery issues. You have to search & search to only find a 1-800 number, this absolutely sucks! Do not use this "same day" service as it does not live up to claims & Target has no accountability since they use a contracted shipper. read more

I saw something on the ad that I wanted to purchase. According to the web site, it was available in the Duarte store. When I got there, none was available. I asked a couple of employees to check to see if it was in stock and they told me that "if it's not out there, we don't have it". The web site still says it's in stock. Lazy employees-customer service is non-existent. It's why I usually go to the Pasadena store. read more

People like David in guest services remind me why I make the trek to this Target versus the ones in Pasadena. In Duarte, they tend to try to find a solution instead of saying "no" to everything. Starbucks inside target was Terrific !! I had a few questions about starbuck's gift cards and rewards points. Brooke was very pleasant and attentive answering all my questions, Great job !! By the time I was done inquiring about the starbuck's rewards information, Linda was already smiling and handing me my ice coffee. My cup of joe was made to perfection. Sweetness, Smiles, and Starbucks !! Thank you for your services. This Target was very hospitable from the moment I entered the store. The floor employees said "Hello." The changing room gentleman was very accommodating, and I received prompt assistance twice, while using the self-check out. The attendant at the snack bar was also very kind and courteous, taking her time and explaining the menu. The store could use a little more tidiness overall. However, very impressed !! I have been in Targets over a thousand times. I feel it is slowly going down and down in customer service. Tonight in the Target in Monrovia, CA, I was walking all over the health and beauty section back and forth trying to get someone to unlock the cabinet so I could purchase 18$ Crest White strips. I eventually went to the area behind the lines for cashiers that the now always have management standing around. The lines were long and there were 5 managers, 4 in red shirts, one in maroon that were all looking at someones phone and laughing. That is horrible customer service to be having people waiting and others looking for help for over 10 minutes while they are laughing ad looking at a phone, right in plain view. read more
