This is my typical target I always visit weekly, I usually have a great experience finding everything I need with the best worker experience. But today I cannot say the same. I had come in just to get a couple toys for my daughter and restock on some essentials when I went to the cashier and asked if I could pay with a gift card and my card so that I could get cash back the cashier told me that it wasn't an option. Then I gently let her know that there was a split payment option on her screen she responded with a back handed comment telling me "I can't just listen to you you're the customer.". She then told me that I could go back in line and buy a pack of gum with just the card to get cash back but as she scanned it she began to question me. She first said "Is that even a debit card?" and then followed up by asking "Have I ever even worked in retail?", she then mumbled under her breath probably not. I decided in that moment to just with-drawl and stated that I would just get cash back at Walmart since this is the behavior at target. The cashier who "helped " me was Lisa the older one with faded red hair. I hope that this never happens to anyone in my neighborhood at the local target this was truly disappointing. read more

Positives: This target is large, & well stocked. The many negatives: CUSTOMER SERVICE IS BASICALLY NON EXISTENT. The staff seems either bothered or completely spaced out when you ask them to help locate something. Even with the app, sometimes the customer is not able to find the item, therefore the employees should be knowledgeable . I only had one guy help me a few months back, he ACTUALLY went to the back to find the missing lid to the container I needed. Young, tall guy, forgot his name. I never see him anymore so he probably quit maybe due to the lack of other caring employees. Some employees are kind but overall, they seem severely understaffed & most just seem annoyed. They also allow homeless people to hang outside for long periods of time & ask people for things. PARENTS: be aware, when I left the store, a young girl and her friend were exiting before me with a toddler maybe barely 2, and the lady outside (loitering) said "aww hi baby how old is he" in an extremely creepy way. Continuing on--The check out lines are SO slow, only 1-2 each time. also, self check out is pretty poorly managed. If you are picking up an order at the desk expect to wait up potentially 20+ minutes. I like having a target near by but would rather drive farther out of my way to a nice one with better staff! First of all, I havent been to this or any Target, save when I did a quick walk through last week, and decided there was nothing I needed in there that day. I didn't purchase or return anything. In fact, I haven't returned anything, since June, "2025." So tell me why I went to the CitrusTarget where a Jansport backpack was bought for me for my birthday late April, because it failed and ripped at the seams, to ask if I can exchange for another, or if I should contact Jansport because they warranty their products pretty extensively. I hadn't planned on returning my backpack so I threw away the tags and gift receipt, weeks ago. When I went into the Target, I went and picked up the identical brand new backpack, with tags so that they would have something to scan, if they had decided to do their jobs and not loss preventions job, very badly. The customer service agent, was an older, senior platinum blonde and clownish bright pink lipstick, drawn way too thick and seriously, it looked almost scribbled on her scowling, wrinkled, sour face. Immediately, she said, " I remember you, you were in here last week, theyre always watching, you know" Except, I didn't go to this customer service desk for any reason last week, and not for months and months, at this or any Target. She started snarling and projecting her bullshit accusations at me in a shril and nasty tone, and not listening to what I had to say immediately...She talked over me, and said I was in there the very last week with the same story, and I was always grabbing things off the shelf and returning them without a receipt. I told her I hadnt been in there or in any Target for like six months, and it wasn't me last week.. this is the first time I've ripped a brand new backpack, and the first place and time I've taken it anywhere to ask about it..She told me I was a liar essentially, "we can check the tapes. And see it was you" "No, it wasnt me." She started going on about how I need a receipt or the card I paid with. "It was a present" She said , "no it wasn't" and said security told her to deny my return anyway. Yeah, I bet they did after she had all that bulls$#it to say. I was embarrassed and offended, but I left. Outside I thought better of it , and I wanted to prove my point..Its a policy at Target that you have to have your receipt or the card that you paid with or you have to show your ID. You can only return up to $100 worth of merchandise on your ID within a given period of time , like a year or more. I've returned $0 worth of merchandise under my ID in a period of multiple years...there's no way around not showing your ID with this policy. I went back in and asked for a manager. The bitchy clerk came out huffing and puffing and when the manager came she took him aside and starting spouting her misinformation about someone else , but aiming it at me..I could hear her talking shit. So instead of a manager they sent security. Two solvenly looking dudes dressed in street clothes that I assume, are loss prevention. The younger one, a Hispanic kid with scruffy hair and sagging jeans came up with clear attitude and prejudice, arguing with me about my complaint of her customer service. "We aren't doing the return " "dude , no one's pushing for the return, I'll take it up with Jansport and their warranty department ..." He interrupted me. "There's no warranty on that backpack." "Yes their is, and it's got nothing to do with Target, no ones asking you to do anything about the warranty" He kept his sunglasses on and didn't listen to anything I had to say. My beef isn't that y'all said no, I get it..I don't have a receipt. But the wild accusations that I was here last week or that I do this all the time is unprofessional and untrue. It's just not how you talk to people" I said, isn't it true that you have to show your ID when you don't have a receipt? Or the card you paid with? He argued , "no it's not like that, theres a limit on how much you can return, only $100".. Right, but you have to show your ID to get the store credit, right? "Yes" Well, I've used my ID, zero times at this or any store in the last two -three years. And I couldn't have done it last week, as I wasn't here with my backpack and I didn't have any ID if I did try, my ID was just reissued and received in the mail 3 days ago... " Well, we aren't doing any return today." "No one's asking you to" I'm not trippin on that, I'm trippin that you guys have me twisted up with someone else and being very rude about it...and it's rude and unprofessional" that's all I'm saying.. The store is clean which is good, but there are rarely enough checkers. The lines are long. In the self service section you often have to wait to get anyone to help you if needed. Often there is no one to be found and you have to look for someone. They are out of stock on a regular basis. The last time I was there much of their pharmacy area had bare selves. When I asked about it they said they didn't know where anything was but it should be on the shelves in a couple of days. That was a wasted trip. This review is for Management and for Evan in customer service. Today around 3:40pm I came to this location to have some refunds done for myself and my children's clothes. I spoke with Evan (who is Caucasian/White, Male, Had a Buzzed Head with black squares, Mustache, and Black Glitter Painted Fingernails.) When I walked up to him I greeted him saying "hello how are you?" To which he didn't respond. He said "what do we have going on here." In a unwelcoming and careless manner. We first began the process of returns on some dresses I had and that I asked to receive store credit for. After those returns were processed and credited, I proceeded to hand him 3 children's items including with one pair of children's cowboy style boots, one toddler cardigan, and one toddler long sleeve shirt. When he saw the boots he picked them up and then aggressively put them down saying "We cannot accept this return because they were worn" and I replied "Yes you can, Cat & Jack has a return policy through Target that allows 1 year guaranteed return for their brand's merchandise even if they are worn, used, or outgrown" He then says "Whatever" and proceeds with the return. I then said "Is there a manager I can speak to?" He says "I am the manager" I HIGHLY doubt that... I told him "We can cancel this if its a big problem" but he rushed me to hand him my phone with the receipt. I then tell him "I'm not abusing the system, it's part of their policy" and he replies "Yeah keep telling yourself that." I told him that I was being respectful towards him and I kindly requested that he be respectful towards me. This was my first time doing a Cat & Jack return ever, it was for 3 items. The boots were only a bit worn down at the bottom but in overall great condition. I told him "I am receiving store credit so the money goes back to Target anyways" he proceeds processing the return for the cardigan and shirt. He makes the returns credited back to my card which I asked him not to do and gave me back the money at the lowest price because I was supposedly "abusing" the return system. I told him that "I actually looked up this return policy in order to avoid any issues or problems" like this one. I then kindly told him to "have a great day". I was kind, respectful, patient, helpful, and organized but in return I received his unwelcoming attitude, unnecessary comments, and overall disrespect. I wanted to use the money from those 3 items towards my children's clothes at Target. I don't understand why you would hire someone with no customer service skills and a rude demeanor and then put them at the customer service desk. I hope Management sees this and overthinks this employee's position at this location and evaluates the situation in order to better train employees and hire better employees. Unacceptable. read more

It rang up full price and target refused to honor it, even after I showed them how many were on clearance with the sticker. Today I'm calling the store trying to get a live human on the phone. Zero success. I've tried reaching guest services, electronics, and pressed 9 for all other departments. No one is answering the phone. After 3 minutes, my calls are disconnecting with exception of all other departments. When pressing 9 for all other departments/guest services/pick-up, it rang for nearly 10 minutes an no one answered. I'm very unhappy that I purchased a frame at the West Sacramento location but was overcharged. Perhaps a moron put the frame in the wrong slot. West Sacramento store will remedy it, but it's a 30+ mile round trip. And at $6/gallon and more than one hour driving, I'm not willing to go there. I'm angry I was overcharged and I'm angry that I didn't pay attention to the total. There's a phenomenal difference between $16 and $25. This Bird Cage location has previously been unwilling to answer the phone. Their dumb system also wouldn't process my EBT card in the past and their POS POS kept saying not authorized. However, I was able to make a purchase later the same day with my EBT. And there was balance available on the card. Parking, walking in, purchasing, all of it takes too long at this store. And with all of these problems I've encountered here, it's not worth my time. My frustration level with this store has far exceeded normal limits and I will no longer patronize this Target. read more

Wtf is wrong with you target? I went in with my service dog and we had to deal with not one but TWO fake dogs. One was barking and lunging at us and the other was barking and sitting in the cart. When we told an employee, he informed us corporate does not allow employees to speak to individuals about them illegally bringing pets in to avoid confrontation because there is a sign. But you are find with confrontation between actual handlers and employees? That conversation is okay but informing people they can't bring pets in isn't?? Seems like discrimination to me. It's against California health codes for dogs to be in carts and it's against federal law for people to fake having a service dog. What a steal. For minime. Go here, it's one fo the bigger target. Right on Target. Target always carry fancy kitchen wares at affordable price. It's brightly lit. I think that's one of the thing that bring people in. The clothings, swimsuits were plenty to choose from. Food items are well organized. If you need children school supplies, this is place to go. Gifts for children birthdays, plenty to choose from. Always clean and nothing out of stock. It's located conveniently within a bookstore. This is my go-to Target location and go-to there a lot! LOL. It's a big one, and usually really well stocked and convenient. Tons of parking. Easy access right across the street from Sunrise Mall. The employees are not rude, and not overly friendly either. Efficient. I am writing this review to tell a story in hopes that the manager takes it to heart-about customer service. While I was shopping I stopped and tried on some earrings (which I bought). I took off my own earring and set it on the table while I tried on the earrings. It was an 18K gold earring with diamonds in it. I finished my shopping, grabbed some dinner, and went to a meetup group. So about two hours had passed. I realized I was missing an earring. My brain immediately remembered I never put it back on at Target, and I could literally picture it laying on the jewelry table. I quickly called Target and spoke to the customer service employee. I clearly explained where my earring was left. She put me on hold and came back and told me "So sorry it's not there, we looked everywhere. No one has turned it in. You should try calling back later to see if it's in the lost and found." I finished my meetup group. It was now four hours since I was shopping. I decided to stop back over at Target on my way home, just to see about my earring. I walked in, went straight to the jewelry table and my earring was sitting there exactly where I left it. I picked it up and left the store. Imagine how awesome it would have been if the customer service employee I phoned had actually looked for my earring and set it behind the counter for me!! Someone else could have taken it in the meantime after I called. I know it was my fault for forgetting it, but I think as a whole Target can do better for it's customers. read more

Racial profiling is absolutely real in this store. I came in just to get a few things and the same guy white woman kept walking up to me asking did I need something. I stood there for 10 minutes and she came 6 times! Finally, I came to the self check out and I was scrolling up and down on the screen to make sure I didn't forget to add something and the check stand person asked me 10 times did I need something within a 4 minute time span! I only have 5 items! Funny thing is a white couple came in with a dog and stole a whole basket of stuff yet they were hounding me and I actually purchased everything! The biggest thing that sticks out of this Target compared to others, is how extremely under staffed this location is. Especially for the check-out registers. Every time I come here it's busy and they only have 2 registers (plus the self checkout) open. I stopped into this target at 11 AM on a Wednesday to get some traveling essentials that I need for a flight that I have tonight to Guatemala. The store is really pretty massive so it took me a while to find everything I needed. when I got to the front, there were only two checkers working and the south checkout line each having at least 20 people in line. A very rude woman who had a return cut in front of me, saying she only had one thing, but that's obviously not targets fault. after waiting for 15 minutes the checker had only made it through three patrons so I was forced to leave the line and abandon my cart so that I don't miss my plane. i'm incredibly shocked that for a massive target of this size they are only having two workers... Such a cluster !!!!! definitely will not be returning to this location and now I am leaving for my trip without anything that I need. this is why people are shopping online now because stores are understaffed and crowded with rude people. read more

This Target has gone downhill in the past six months. The drive-up team has basically given up. We routinely don't get our full order -- it's probably every other time now, and it's not just one thing, it's an entire bag worth of stuff. They frequently list something as "out of stock" after you order it at a rate other Target stores don't; I'm assuming the workers here just decide they don't want to go look for something, so they list it as "out of stock." The two stars are for the fact that it's one of the cleaner Targets on the inside. Otherwise, it's very subpar. read more
