I've watched the service at Target stores I go to decrease to the point I've cut my spending there tremendously. So when I have a good experience I like to point it out. I stopped in to buy some gift cards for the holidays. I went up to the self checkout and asked Sonia if I could pay for them at these terminals. As of 2023 September, this location is under construction, although it's still open. Though they have a surface lot on Addison, there is also a garage here as well (they share the surface lot so maybe the lot is specifically for Target?). The order drive-up spaces are in the garage on the second level. I haven't been in the store--and at this time as I mentioned it's being renovated anyway--but the drive-up was quick. I forgot to indicate I was coming until I got to the parking lot and they were out with my stuff in five minutes, so no complaints. read more

This Target makes me feel like a "Karen" with the amount of time I've had to ask to speak to a manager because the employees don't know what they are doing. I've had problems in the past returning items from my baby registry and the girl at the counter made me feel like I was doing something wrong when in reality she couldn't figure out the system. This past trip was the last straw. I was returning a recalled item and the girl at customer service told me they don't carry the item so I can't get store credit. I explained to her that they no longer carry the item because it has been recalled. She treated me like I was trying to scam target by returning a used item and told me I needed a receipt or it needed to be in the original packaging. Sigh...here we go...I asked to speak to a manager. The manager immediately understood and found the product somehow in their system and apologized that they could only provide store credit. I was totally fine with this. So I took my store credit to go shopping. All I can say is the next part had me leaving all the baby formula I was trying to purchase on the belt and walking out of the store over them not accepting my rebate checks. I ended up taking my store credit and going to the Logan square store and bought everything with no problem. There's a reason this store is all a graveyard and Logan square is so busy. The selection isn't the greatest, the parking is terrible and the employees could use better training or not be so condescending. Pretty large Target location. Two floors with plenty of space and plenty of selection. From clothes, toys, electronics, groceries, home goods, etc. Target got it all. This one in fact is so big their beer section has a beer cave (aka a walk in fridge). Pretty cool. Parking is plentiful. Check out registers are available on both floors which is nice you don't have to trek back down if you don't need to. I think the only thing I can complain about is that the item I picked up wasn't matching the price that was listed on the shelf. No hassle at all for them to fix it but te sure to pay attention at checkout! Other than that, just as great as any other target. 'Til next time, cheers! read more

I bought an airpods pro 2 in fathers day about 35 days. They stop working and when I went ro returns and exchange they told me only covers 2 weeks, and they cannot do nothing. Over $200 to waste. It's a great store to shop! Always clean and light , there isn't pallets of product blocking up isles or employees getting annoyed because you're trying to shop and they're to stock the shelves. Everyone that works here is very kind and always willing to help you; not to mention they have a pharmacy where you can pick up medications if need be! (They also all wear masks, gloves and they sanitize the belt where you put your groceries after every person...that is so important to us! Thank you guys!) We will never go to another Target after going to this one... their selections for everything is off the charts and it feels like the most upscale Target around for miles!! I was welcomed by Cubs gear walking in. It's near Wrigleyville so I was excited to see the gears. It's not the cheapest, it's similar to their competitors price. I stood in line for the Customer Service as I wanted to exchange something but ended up waiting 15 minutes. There was only 1 person working at the time, and she was dealing with a customer who looked like she was returning materials from her baby registry and was checking for prices 1 by 1. The clothes displays are very inviting. It makes people want to buy the clothes, and convincing. I haven't seen other stores displaying their line of "a new day" like this store. Not my go to Target but I do go here sporadically if it's on the way of my route. read more

This store on Addison st just about NEVER answers their phones. So I gotta get up drive there to see if they found my credit card. When you're asking a question (a fairly simple one) at the service desk no one seems to even want to answer...last nite I want there and asked for a manager. They all looked at each other like 'a manager?? I haven't a clue who the manager isn't. Then they just turn there back to you and continue to sort items ppl left in carts. When I raised my voice a manger finally came over and she got things fixed. Also too many Spanish speaking ppl that barely understand English. I like the store cause it's close to me....not bc they do anything well....like what's online isn't on the shelves. I'd much prefer the store on Elston. It's not that great there either just waaay better than the one in the Addison Mall. To sum things ups they should hired ppl that act ignorant and don't know what they're doing and aren't able to help you. read more

I'm really not feeling this Target location at all. I was all amped up about a location within 5 minutes of my place. Downfalls of the Target in Avondale versus other locations~ ~disorganized ~tons of clumps of workers usually in groups of 2-3 hanging out & chatting ~a bit more unkept in terms of cleanliness ~they don't carry all that the other locations have ~many shelf spots sat empty of items despite the pricing being there ~parking is a disaster around the Panda Express which shares the parking lot I love me some Target and it's probably my main grocery getting spot. But the Avondale location is not hitting a run for the home team. Sadly, I won't be going back here and am going to stick with the Bucktown location. read more

The cashier on the first floor did not except my ID that I was providing using my phone because apparently they need the physical ID card. Very disappointing especially during the holiday weekend when we're all in a rush trying to get home to our families, after work and plan Christmas. Oh how I love Target! It's a one stop shop for everything. Need supplies for your house, go to Target. Need to buy a present, go to Target. Need to eat, go to the cafe in the Target. Need Starbucks, go to Target. What's really nice about this place is that they have a parking garage and two entrances. If there is no parking outside near the front entrance, you can always drive to the back where they have a parking garage that takes you to the back entrance. As you enter the back entrance, enjoy a cup of Joe at the Starbucks for your trip around the ONE STOP SHOP! I know it's not a super target nor is it as big as the Target on Elston but it's less chaotic and easier to move around in. The store does get low on lots of items and then I have to go to another target. Because of this, I mostly use target pick up where I know what will be picked up because it's in store. I have had 2 issues with customer service at that store but overall its a clean, quiet store. I ran in this target to buy some lotion. I went up stairs and happily noticed a sign clearly posted saying " additional 20 percent off clearance " see attached pic. The lady at check out said, sorry that ( child's sweatshirt marked with clearance tag) isn't on sale further. I politely said, yes it is. She politely says I see no one available to check if that's true. I then offer to go up stairs and take a picture of the sign ( which I do). I bring the photo back downstairs ( crazy service problem already and big waste of time) and the cashier says she has to get a manager. The manager looks at my picture and says " this sign just says these items are on clearence. It doesn't indicate an additional 20 percent off". At this point I'm completely exasperated and reply " you know, I can read- it does say an additional 20 percent off". She proceeds to say " that was rude just give it to her so she can get out of the store" I'm rude? Worst target experience to date. Will stick to other target locations. Poor inventory management. I purchased a PlayStation 5 online for in-store pick up at this location. I received a confirm email, order number, and charge to my credit card. Then a couple hours later, my order disappeared. This location either has very poor inventory management or has an employee with sticky fingers. You're better off not shopping at this target or taking your patronage to other big box stores that have their things in order. read more

On Sunday Sept.24 I stopped in with my son to grab a few items. My son is autistic and after a few minutes he became suddenly overwhelmed and began to have a melt down. I chose to leave the two items with his father so he can pay for them and made my way out the door to help my son calm down. As we exited my son was repeating "my toys is gone". Not knowing my sons father was in the self check out line, the young lady working their began mocking my son . Yes, I'm aware that everyone might not recognize an autistic individual and I have the right to take my child into a public place . I found this to be rude and unprofessional and when brought to her attention she was rude. It's a challenge for children with special needs to attempt to have the same access to anything any other child has. But to see someone in a field where dealing with people is an everyday occurrence be so insensitive is just out right terrible. Yes, We need a whole bunch of true necessities- pantene shampoo, ultrabrite toothpaste, degree red satin deodorant, starbucks coffee, store-brand up and up plastic wrap and foil, $1.00 linen scented dryer sheets, and yes, I do need the cute, lacy pink and red valentine's day underwear- it is all on sale! Score! This allows me to make some frivolous impulse buys like a Dr Pepper lip smacker, adorable Harajuku Mini Mermaid T-Shirt (WTF? I fit in children's sizes, whatsup Gwen Stefani?!?), even $9 Midnight in Paris DVD... which I saw in the theater with Boyfriend and yes, he will tolerate Woody Allen movies for me. That is love. Speaking of love, I LOVE Target even if Boyfriend is vocally, violently allergic. I bought him a huge iced Mocha to compensate him for his considerable suffering. This review is only pertinent to the electronic, ladies' accessory, and ladies' clothing departments. Hubby and I were doing some reconnaissance for the upcoming Black Friday. I thought that they might have the i-pad deal (purchase of an i-pad to get a $100 Target gift card), but it won't have it until the actual Black Friday. Unfortunately, the $100 gift card will downgrade to a $80 gift card. I, myself, was the lucky one who caught the $100 gift card i-pad deal back in June. I guess ultimate deals don't necessarily happen on Black Friday. With that being said, can retail workers have normal work schedules from now on? Since the electronic department didn't seem to be exciting, I went and checked out the ladies' accessories. Unfortunately, the entire department was messy and organizations were off. Many items were picked over, and the stock appeared to be sparse. Comparing to the Target in the Chicago suburbs, this department needs some improvements. How about the ladies' clothing department? They had a slightly better organization, but the organization wasn't on a satisfactory level to a customer's perspective. Even though I did find some cute argyle sweaters, but they only had large and extra large left. I guess God was telling me that I didn't need to have them. Overall, this Target is at a convenient location in the Avondale neighborhood. It's also accessible via CTA 152 (Addison) bus. For bus riders, get off on Addison/Sacramento and walk two (2) minutes to the actual location. read more

Went shopping here on my day off and went to the restroom and came out and my cart with items was gone! So basically I wasted 40 mins shopping and then someone undid it all. Very frustrating especially because I had a heavily clearanced item and it was the last one. Don't waste your time with the guest service people when there is an issue. Walk up and ask for a MANAGER. Then when they come out, tell them no. You want a manager not a "lead" (waste of your time). Funny how the "lead" says they can't look up transactions until the next day but when you get a real manager not a waste of your time "lead" they can find the order in question and fix the issue within 30 seconds. As soon as I walked up and ask for a manger they literally laughed at me. Needless to say when I ever return something to target I will ALWAYS go here. Just so people know. This is not my regular go-to Target and thank god because it was very poorly stocked. I came here looking for some thighs for my daughter for her class picture day outfit and they only had ONE size which was the one NOT in her age range and then only carried my daughter's size in this weird pinkish color...ABSOLUTELY NO WHITE thighs in any size higher than 5. I then proceeded to look for 2-3 other products that two other Targets closer to my house carry, but this location apparently does not. Very disappointed in how poorly stocked they are despite being two floors which personally is actually a little annoying especially when you are shopping with little ones and have to go to the 2nd level to get to the children's department. I prefer to have everything accessible on the same floor....(I tend to be forgetful so realizing after the fact that I have to go back up with little ones in tow is not exactly fun) Maybe it's not so bad and I just went on a bad day...but the fact that they were out of stock on everything I had gone for, will now stay with me and I will AVOID coming here at all. read more

My local target - what can I say. There's nothing good or bad about this target. Service is always helpful when I do have questions. This target is a bit on the smaller side but that's alright - as long as you check online to see if your item is in stock there. It was difficult when the this location was going through remodelling and even though it's complete I often find myself pondering "where are the paper towels again?" I have been coming to this Target almost daily for the past 4 years. I have only made a few returns and they all went very smooth. The cashiers are friendly and helpful, especially the lady upstairs with the buzz cut. I pretty much know the entire store now, but when I needed help I was always satisfied. I just wish that they would stop getting rid of some grocery items. They used to carry more Goya products, more pasta noodles, more varieties of rice, and Salted Caramel Core by Ben and Jerry's. It would be nice if they had better choices in the frozen pizza section too. Also, the garbage bags and storage bags should be by the paper towels. Instead, they put them on the opposite side of the store next to the healthcare items. read more

When you are looking for a good place to go shopping Target is your place. They have pretty much a little bit of everything. They also have really affordable pricing and decent quality. This Mid-North location had a recent renovation, to expand the liquor section and rearrange the sections. 2 floors. Nonetheless, I was able to quickly navigate through the wide aisles, items neatly organized, esp during the holiday season. Two elevators and one 2way escalator. Bathroom well maintained. Plenty of parking and parking garage in this plaza. Also, a Starbucks store inside target. I like the convenience, no hassle, stress free shopping. read more

Horrible service. I went there to buy some items for my kids and since it was my first time being there I asked for help. Yeah right it's like I was talking to myself. Workers were unprofessional and beyond rude. I'd ask a question and they would ignore me or just say it's over there. The worst thing was the attitude I noticed on some of the so called "leaders". If you are going to be with and attitude just stay home. What could've taken 30 minutes to an hour tops took almost 3 hours because no one helped me so I had to find everything myself. Some workers were so sweet don't get me wrong but the rest oh no. Only three workers were helpful and they were in the clothes department. I have been to this Target on numerous occasions now. I am VERY pleased that this place is right in my hood now. It doesn't matter what day or time I go here, even when the place is crowded, I never feel crowded in and never seem to wait in line very long. It may be the cool two story layout, it may be efficient location of the checkouts but I really don't care why as long as they keep it up. I also like the fact that this place has a parking garage as it does ease the congestion in the already over-congested parking lot. I did have a frustrating experience with an employee here on my last visit as he really did not listen to what we were asking him and I thought that this would negatively affect my review. The Logan Blvd. Target is my "default" Target due to its convenient location. But I have found myself going out of my way more and more to come to this Target because: 1. Even on a Sat./Sun. it's NEVER a freakin' zoo like the one on Logan 2. Unlike the one on Logan it never seems "picked-over" - I've actually been able to find newly-offered items that I'd so far only seen on the Target website. 3. It's clean and neatly organized, unlike the Logan Target which always looks like a tornado hit it. 4. The staff here is actually friendly and *gasp!* helpful! The only time I ever had a hard time finding a staff member to help me find something was early on a weekday morning when they were having their employee meeting. But when I did find one, I found ALL of them...and one broke himself away to walk me to what I was looking for. The only thing I don't like about this Target is that it's divided into 2 floors making it hard for someone not familiar with the layout (like myself) to find stuff. read more
