I do the drive up feature because I'm injured and usually go weekly- and sometimes its fine but today (on at Sunday at 8am) it took over 30 minutes to have anyone come outside. Mind you, there were 4 others cars waiting. I saw someone get out and walk to the store, so even though i was injured, i followed. The pickup in store is super easy (doing that from now on) but i told them i was drive up and that it took over 30 minutes, so i came inside. On weekdays its fine, but weekends they must be understaffed and I know drive up is a luxury but... don't offer it unless you can actually accommodate, quite frustrating. I also let corporate know, since i know i can't be the only one injured using this service. read more

this Target is fairly average, but Andy is awesome. I was there 3/21at around 1:15ish and the power went out and Andy offered to help me with a flashlight. When the power came back on he helped me find everything I needed. These brief interactions showed me what a kind hearted individual you all have here at this Target. I will say this Target is often understocked and a little messy, but Andy will help you if you need anything so you will still have a 5 star experience! read more

This is a really nice 2 story Target. It's probably the nicest one I've been to in awhile. If you have any issues where it may be a bit more difficult to get around than most DO NOT park on the 2nd level right now. Due to the pandemic you aren't allowed to enter from the 2nd floor level and there are no elevators. Inside it's really nice. Seemed well stocked, and they had a great price on hand sanitizer. There's a Starbucks inside, and the restrooms are to the left of it. You'll find elevators to get to the 2nd floor, and the staff was mostly really helpful. They have those carts you can sit in here too. So nice, I was about at that sit in cart point after having to walk down the stairs etc. but all I needed was a phone charger. The phone chargers (for iPhone) were standard apple white and this other brand that had a lot of pretty colors, and lightening cables too. Tons of sales on the clothes, and just a really nice target overall. read more

This target is missing the variety of merchandise that I have come to expect compared to every other target I've gone too. They have very limited selection for kids clothes, woman's and men's shoes compared to the other targets. Go to Watsonville Target unless you have looked online and verified they have what you need or just need a very basic item like toothpaste, trash bags etc and don't care about the brand. read more

The absolute worst customer service. The only department that would answer was the pharmacy and would have to transfer me to speak to the front store. All I had was a question about a return. About a week ago I did a drive up order for cold medicine and tissues. I had tested negative a few days before for COVID but obviously the target employee had no idea of this. I knew he was worried about it when he walked up and I got out to put the bag in the back and he jumped like 10 feet back and placed it in my trunk ( yes I had a mask on). I just wanted to give a shout out that these employees risk their health daily. I've been thinking about it ever since and I wish I told him I was negative and just have a regular cold. The fear of being exposed must be so extreme for some of these employees and I thank you guys. I have a baby and don't like going into stores if I can help it and these services make it so I don't have to. read more

Wow this place is BUSY on the weekends, lines for the register are pretty lengthy upstairs and downstairs. We stopped by here yesterday to look at baby clothes, and there were not that many to choose from, so we went ahead and passed. Looked at the baby food as well and most of the food was depleted. The target itself is nice, nothing off putting. But with the amount of traffic that flows through the busy parking lot area, its hard to want to come back here when i travel down to the Santa Cruz area. read more

A great place to do your back to school shopping! We brought in our supply list and I guess that they are so use to parents needing to do this that they set up a display. 90% of what was on our school supply list was grouped together in a convenient location. It made things so much easier and less of a scavenger hunt. Where this target is a little lacking is the rest of the store feels like it is trying so hard to offer a whole bunch of stuff that it doesn't offer a large selection of what you are looking for. For example, in the kids clothing section, they had jeans but we couldn't find the style we wanted in the size we wanted. In the shoe section, there were girls boots (rain) but not boys. Sort of like what they did for school supplies, they should do for the departments that they offer. Focus on quality of selection for the departments that you have instead of quantity of sections. read more

Worst. Store. Ever. Do not support this Target store! Their laxity about pandemic rules feeds the spread of the virus. I went there today and was deep in the store when I encountered a group of people in their late teens to (maybe) age 20, walking around not wearing their masks, while consuming food and drink that they likely bought in the store. (And if they didn't buy it in the store, why were they allowed in while carrying large drinks?). I left as quickly as I could. No one is enforcing the rules in this store. They have a young woman posted near the door, presumably to make sure people have masks, but it's useless if no one is enforcing the rule that idiot, selfish customers need to actually WEAR the masks while shopping. My other complaint is Target's online store-inventory system. The Target website said that the item I wanted (a bundle pack of sani-wipes) was in stock at the Capitola store, but not available for curbside pickup. I drove 35 minutes to the store, and I rechecked the inventory update before I entered. But when I got to the designated shelf, it was empty. There were a few smaller, single canisters of the product on the shelf above, and some were clearly damaged. Target had a big sign saying that a customer could purchase just one of these items. One tiny canister per person. So I wasted an hour of my day, for nothing. The technology exists for real-time inventory updates, Target! Stop fooling people just to get them into your store, in the hope they will buy something else when the item they came for is out if stock. It's dishonest. [update edit: BTW, the online inventory update still said the stuff was in stock at Capitola many hours after I was there and saw those empty shelves. And today, the day after my visit, it still says the items are in stock. Total lie. ] The Capitola store has always been understocked, incredibly messy, and often downright dirty. I have found food wrappers and used tissues discarded on shelves, in this store. I have never shopped there often, but after this I will never step foot in there again. Horrible place. read more

3.5 stars. Yes this Target is small. Probably the smallest one I've ever seen... But you can find some gems in this place that you won't be able to find when you go to other popular Targets. This Target opened in Summer 2012 and it still looks fairly new. There are 3 entrances - 2 of which face the 2 layered parking lot (really convenient). I prefer parking on the top level just because you'll find a spot instantly. When you walk in from the top floor, you will find the checkout/ Guest Service area. It's quite small, but it works out. On the top floor are Kitchen, Furniture, Baby/ Kid/ Men clothes, Toys, Sporting Goods, and Electronics. On the bottom floor is everything else, Stationary, Produce section, Seasonal, etc; It's nice that this Target is laid out like 2 large squares so you can just walk the main isle to browse around everything, but at the same time unfortunate of how quick your Target experience can end (we all know true Target fans can stay at Target for HOURS finding great bargains, but not AS much here [-1 star]). Another -1 star because during the day it can get pretty messy and hard to find items I need when I need to find a worker. -0.5 because there isn't a food court at this Target and I usually like getting an icee :( But they do have a Starbucks which is coool. read more

Wow, where to begin, first avoid this target, try to order ship to home. If you order as i did and have it shipped to store, watch out! One simple order and I have zero explanations from anyone at the Capitola store, which included a no call back and multiple hang ups. This Target is cool, nothing special about it besides the fact that there is a Starbucks (but come to think of every Target experience I've had, all the ones I've been to have a Starbucks inside). It's smaller than the ones I'm used to like in San Jose or Daly City where it has more of a department store feel and is way bigger. They have everything you need here just like any ol' Target, from beauty products, produce, clothes, school supplies, furniture, etc. They also sell alcohol which is a plus since I know not all Targets have it. There's a huge parking lot too. It's never crowded either so you'll always find a space. Perfect to come here to get what you need, or if you're bored and end up buying a bunch of random things you don't need. My favorite purchase from here was a mini zebra pillow pet for $5! I wish they still sold pillow pets though. read more

Stopped by here today in pinch for a few things . First time here I don't live in the area . This location was lacking everything "pandemic " perhaps. Yeah.. not pleased with how small or how limited this place is. I go to target expecting to do all my shopping.. there is no fresh meat.. only frozen. Some shelves are just bare period and by the dust on them.. I think they have been that way for a WHILE. The employees, however, are sweet and kind. This Target is pretty good. It is two stories so it has a lot of what you'd need. The main retraction is the stocking. Often when I visit they are all out of the items I need. This is especially frustrating when it says "in stock" in the app. Also, there are often carts full of items to be stocked left in the aisles. This makes it extra frustrating to walk around and find what you need. If you go on a busy day, expect to wait in line for quite awhile. Compared to the Target in San Rafael, CA I used to go to often, it has a lot less furniture and home goods. That's one thing I love about Target, is finding cute items that are changed out often. They have a pretty large clothing selection. Lots of parking and a Starbucks inside. read more

My experience with target was excellent. Yes the line was long but the employees were polite, helpful. I can say this because there was a glitch in my paperwork (brought the wrong one) but the clerk was expert at solving my complicated return issues including the outside warranty I purchased. read more

Whoever designed this store branch should find another career, it feels horrible in there. Get your act together Capitola Target! I've been coming here for years because it's the only big box store close by, but the trips are rarely worth it. I'm getting so tired of moving stocking carts out of my way to shop. Why don't they get inventory done when customers aren't there like every other Target I've ever been to? Everything is such a mess, and the inventory is very low. A month ago I bought the last pack of UP color pencils, and they were out of markers at the time. Today there are still no color pencils or markers. It's been a month, it's back to school season, and I'm actually having my mother pick me up some more supplies at another Target out of town where she lives. Horrible store. Have seen milk five weeks out of date. Mentioned to manager. A week later it was still in the store. Tonight my wife wanted to try on clothes but was informed the dressing room closes one hour before the store closed. When I asked an associate about it she gave me a dirty look and acted like I was crazy. Not fun! This target is two stories tall. So there is a covered parking lot which is nice for rainy days (which are pretty rare if it isn't winter time) and a lot up top, which I prefer. Shopping is hit or miss for me, sometimes I find the things I'm looking for, but if seems like more than often I don't. Eh, not really their fault I'm picky. One recomendation, don't take down the holiday decorations until the holiday is over & consolidate the remains. Some of us like to get last minute goodies, thanks! read more

Consistently unstocked, understocked, and the store is almost always a mess. Target-trip basics like laundry detergent, paper towels, and other household supplies are out. Every aisle has large empty sections. And today, there were no carts in the store. (But TWO staff watching the self checkout?) This is the closest store in Capitola and there are no nearby competitors. I guess they just decided they don't have to try anymore. I know I'm part of the problem because I keep coming back.
