I'm writing not for the sales experience we had 11 years ago, but for the continued assistance I've received ever since. We purchased a sectional with two motorized recline mechanisms in 2012. Four years later, one of the hand controllers fell into the couch and was crushed by the mechanism. Bruce (the former owner) had another one to us right away. Five years later, I contacted them because one of the mounted switches had failed (same result -- an inoperable recliner). Once again, I contacted Bruce via e-mail. He replied only a few hours later to inform me that he'd sold the company a few years ago, but had passed my note on to the new owner. I had another e-mail from Jackson (the new owner) the very next morning, who followed up with questions and suggestions. We'd sorted out the issue over phone and e-mail and identified the correct parts by the end of the day. But where this interaction really shined was when I admitted that, through our conversation, I'd identified a generic replacement online. I was more than willing to buy the part from Jackson to compensate him for his trouble, but he encouraged me to go with the less-expensive option, and just contact him if it didn't work. When I apologized for taking his time, he simply said he was happy to diagnose the issue with me. Now, that's the hallmark of great customer service: sacrificing a buck or two to make sure your customer is happy, even if it's been eleven years. I will absolutely recommend bringing your business here, and when the great sectional we bought from them has finally reached the end of its useful life, we'll be shopping with Jackson again. Just got my couch delivered and I'm obsessed! I got a huge sectional (three seats by three seats with an ottoman) for $2600. It is all down filled, stain resistant, supersoft fabric and made in SoCal - not China. -Service at this place is excellent. They worked with me to create a custom sectional that fit my measurements and was exactly what i wanted. -The prices are pretty good for furniture made in USA, and I always support local made. -After ordering, takes about 4-6 weeks to come in. I got mine delivered for an additional fee, but it was totally worth it. Scheduling delivered is easy. They call you when it comes in and they deliver Thurs, Fri, and either Sat or Sun. Anyhow, they called me on a Tues and I got mine delivered the same Friday. Highly recommend this place and their furniture! I am so happy with my new couch, but I can't get my dog to get off of it! We have shopped for furniture at Couch Potato for 25 years dating back to when Bruce was the owner. The last purchase we made, about 2- 3 years ago, was an electric reclining chair. This was about the time that Jackson became the new owner. The electric up and down button stopped working and we contacted Jackson on a Friday. The chair was stuck in the up position and we had a baby shower the next day on Saturday. We live in Monterey area and didn't have time to take the chair to Soquel. My daughter and I came into the warehouse one evening ready to buy a couch. The employee was extremely unhelpful as if we were wasting his time. We had asked for help and he spent maybe 3 minutes walking us around and then proceeded to turn his back on us and go into his office space.
