Starbucks inside Target
Nha V.

This place has potential but they somehow fall short. They have a Starbucks here but they need more seating. But also be nice if they had a Pizza Hut at the Starbucks like at some of the other Target locations. Something is missing which could make this store great but I can't quite place my finger on it

This is probably more of a 3 Star Target, but I've been shopping at this Target since forever, 3 decades?, so this store earns an extra star for sentimentality. This store is one of the anchors of Factoria mall. Access can be from the street side or from inside the mall. Parking can be quite busy outside. This is generally a very crowded store. This location is in a high population area. I don't come to this store anymore unless there is an item indicated as being available here. The most recent win is finding the Target exclusive soft and squishy Baby Yoda. I actually didn't "find" it; asking someone for help didn't find it either. (That guy was not helpful at all. He looked very uncomfortable that I was even asking for help.) As I was leaving, I saw one of the store clerks fulfilling online orders with a pile of them! Turns out they didn't put any on the floor. He asked me to wait till he bagged all his items, and he'll go to the back to get me one. I waited patiently, and he did! Woot! Thank you! Made up for the other guy who was trying to get away from me. LOL.

I used to love this spot because it's just a 10-minute drive from my house. However, they've recently started locking up all the acne creams and have implemented a call box for assistance. After waiting for 30 minutes and even going to the counter to call for help, none of the staff seemed willing to assist. So, I decided to take my business to Ulta Beauty instead. Unlike the other place, Ulta Beauty doesn't lock up their acne creams, and it only took me 2 minutes to grab what I needed.

TLDR: Target advertises a toy sale to lure in potential buyers, but excludes toys placed specifically by the signs such as LEGOs. To make matters worst, at this particular target there is an actual sale/deal on LEGOs that is not shared voluntarily and has to be requested to be honored. Further, when brought to the attention of management, the opportunity to deliver a positive customer experience was totally lost. Review: If it were an option I would give zero stars. I have seen a lot of unfair and sneaky business practices, but this Target (Factoria) takes the cake. Today, I was in the store shopping for some last minute Christmas items and my wife suggested we take advantage of a widely advertised toy sale. The sale clearly indicated $10 of if you spend $50 and $25 off if you spend $100. It was a toys and games deal that was literally plastered all over the toys and games section. We decided to purchase a $130 LEGO set in anticipation of receiving $25 back. After arriving at the register, to our surprise, we were told that the fine print excluded LEGOs. Although we were bummed we still purchased the set. We wanted to show the Asst Manager Emily the point of confusion and she agreed the signs were misleading. Further she agreed the fine print on the sale sign was minuscule and at an unnatural height for an adult to see or read. We appreciated her candor and were about to be on our way when we noticed another smaller sign actually indicating that LEGOs were included in a separate deal warranting $10 off of $50 in the form of a gift card!! This is where things get interesting. When we went to the front to receive our $10 Gift card, customer service at first didn't believe us, and then told us that we were mistaken!! When we showed them a picture of the sign plastered on the shelf, they were completely unfamiliar with the deal and needed extra help to provide the gift card. The person called to assist became flustered and just gave us $10 out of the cash register instead of the aforementioned gift card. To make matters worse, when we asked to speak to Emily to inquire as to why no one told us about the gift card or why the system didn't flag it automatically during the transaction, she refused to come back and instead sent the store manager, Nik. I took the time to recount the issue quickly to Nik and explained that I not only thought the sale signs were intentionally misleading, but that when inquiring about the sale, everyone was dismissive and said LEGOs were not included, yet no one on his staff knew about the LEGO gift card (including the asst store manager). I told Nik that this presented a dishonest image and resulted in a poor customer experience. I also pointed out that if there was a flaw in the system, it is possible multiple families were not awarded the $10 gift card they were entitled to. I told Nik that we still purchased the gIft, but wanted this brought to his attention so that he could rectify the situation. Nik became increasingly dismissive and visibly frustrated. It was clear he did not wish to discuss the matter any longer and asked me what did I want him to do. I explained that it was his store and he should devise the solution. He then called our conversation "cyclical" and although he was not verbally disrespectful, his face became visibly angry. It's at this time that I informed him that I would notify corporate and would no longer shop at the store. He did not care and made no effort to keep my business. I went to customer service and returned the over $300 worth of merchandise I had purchased and will not return. The issue with confusion over a sale is forgivable and understandable, but being dismissed by management and the poor customer experience is not. Target (thanks to Nik and Emily) has lost a customer for life.

RIP Billy Mays

HOMEGOODS @ BELLEVUE…read more This HomeGoods is right next to Trader Joe's, it can get pretty busy especially finding parking on the weekends, so be aware! The selection was great, they had all sorts of things from home decor, kitchen, bedding, really anything, all was good and decent pricing. I found a great deal of a set of knives for just $26, and it was a steal! Some things were even locked up which was surprising, like literally blankets or bed sheets were needed for assistance. The place itself was MESSY. There was boxes on the ground that workers were unloading (i'd assume they unload after people leave/before the store opens) but no they were doing it right in the middle of a section, pretty inconvenient and messy. There were also random carts full of stuff from workers that were left abandoned and took SO much space. Home goods is already small and squished, no need for random carts to be in the middle of things. Overall, the place still had good finds, there was a lot of people on a Saturday, so i'd recommend coming by on a weekday.

Three stars for the crowded aisles. Like for real. Very narrow and claustrophobic. I know. I know…read more It's HomeGoods. They sell a ton of stuff! Basically a sort of fancy thrift store. There are good deals to be had here for sure. And the service was excellent. I had a gift certificate so here I am. I'm focused and looking particular items. Some throw pillows, a photo frame, and maybe a few bath items. The parking lot is next to Trader Joe's so be careful! Enjoy your life. SYOY.

I've always thought I had relatively good design sense. But after a year-and-a-half of lock-down and working from home, I felt the place was looking a little blah.  But I'd been procrastinating.  On a whim one Saturday, I walked into Seldens and met Christine. I explained what I'd been thinking, and she got it immediately. She asked a lot of questions and took the time to get to know what I like and don't like. I appreciated that she listened and worked with me to propose a range of solutions that seemed to work for me and helped me prioritize what would give me the most "bang for the buck".   She didn't propose a radical makeover but rather a smart choice of options that had the impact. And she was able share examples from other projects she'd completed so I could see how some of the ideas she was suggesting would look in my place. I went from hesitant to excited, and I can hardly wait for everything to get the first phase of my spruce-up project implemented.  I started out thinking I didn't really need a designer per se. But thanks to Christine Wang's help and the resources at Seldens, I wouldn't start a project without consulting with her first. Annie G
