Not bad, not bad. The pickup area wasn't marked at all, and my husband and I accidentally walked back into that area while looking for hoodies. On one side was a display of sweaters, so one would reasonable infer that more clothes would be on the other side. Nope. Two ladies working pickup orders. Our bad, not to mention a weird place to have that area without cordoning it off. There isn't an appealing selection of clothes that doesn't look like something that belongs in my mother's closet from the 80s. And when I did find a pair of leggings on clearance, I wasn't interested in paying $23 when I can get them for the same price at home for $10. I did like the reusable bag selection at the register (I found a hot cold bag with cherries), and the collection funkos are always fun. Good to know this target carries a solid selection of kombucha. Great customer service. Joel at the register and a sales floor associate were both especially nice. I enjoyed both of them very much. read more

I can not believe the way Target Stores allow employees to come to work. I was just there (Bell Road and the 49) and saw an employee who might be confused for a homeless person working. I've shopped at Target in several cities, both in Nevada, and Southern and Northern California, and currently, the Auburn, California store, which has been the worst in products and groceries, but thankfully, customer service has been consistent with professionalism. Within the last several months, I have purchased groceries online, with and without my Target Circle membership with home deliveries, in which I received way too many spoiled food items which I trashed, and although I reported these issues with the store management and corporate office, the problem remains constant. My opinion for the unprofessionalism to maintain fresh and quality food items is they are too busy or lack staff support, or just doesn't care about merchandise quality and safety, so henceforth, I will No Longer Purchase Food Items and never renew my Target 360 Circle Membership, nor use their credit card. So I had to return 300 items ONE AT A TIME with a reason for each items individual return in order for me to return these item and then repurchase them ALL to receive a a receipt. I came in on a mission. I needed a small heater! I pulled into this small size target into a not so busy parking lot about 9:30 pm. That's 30 minutes before they close. No wonder why they are busy, lol. Target is a huge chain known for its bulls eye logo. It has general supplies for any household needs. I feel like Target has better quality products and much better customer service than their competitor, Walmart. Also, their prices are slightly more expensive than their competitor, but if you want better service and quality, it's going to cost ya! Their store was very confusing to me because this was only my 2nd time at this particular location. When I was looking for the aisle with the heaters, I had a hard time finding them. I just so happened to have the Target app on my phone. It can be convenient looking up items while in the store because the app will tell you what aisle the item is on. Unfortunately, the information for that was wrong for this store. It wasn't busy enough for employees to be walking through the store so I was in my own. After 15 minutes (I looked at their super picked over Christmas section, too), I found the very scarce section of heaters. There were only 4 models to choose from. I decided the Lasko brand heater had the features I was looking for. I grabbed one and headed to the front. Halfway to the register, I noticed the box was damaged. So I walked all the way back and I found one that looked better than the rest and headed toward the front, again. I went through self check out and was on my way! Update: to the heater back. I've never returned anything in this store until today. The manager of the return dept couldn't tell me where my $22 in Target circle points go after a rerun. THE. MANAGER. Gave me a 1-800 number to call myself to ask corp. Lady, why don't you ask corporate! You're the one that should know!! Great store but won't buy anything from here again, unfortunately. Update: after the manager of the return dept repeatedly told me "you don't get that back because we gave you that money FOR FREE" (I actually spent $400 in one week to earn that store credit) my circle points were automatically credited back to me on the same day. Well today we came in for a tv monitor. We were helped by three people who exceeded at their jobs. Amber and Shawn were both so very helpful and the third man helped getting down a floor model we wanted! I wish I got the third man's name but alas didn't. He brought in a moving cart to bring that heavy monitor down with care and ease. He was so very careful. I appreciated that! All three showed excellence in customer service and were a delight to deal with! So far this Target has five exemplary employees who all deserve high praise! I have no idea what just happened... my husband and I were waiting in line to have our purchases rung up, and the checker was talking animatedly with the woman ahead of us, which was nice, until it was our turn. It was shortly before closing on 4/20/2024 and Margaret was our checker/ cashier. Margaret must have exhausted all of her pleasantness for the day because she could not be bothered to even look up and greet us... not even an FU from her. She proceeded to cram the three oversized towels, six hand towels, large candle, and body oil into two small bags. At this point, these items no longer belong to Target; they are mine, and I'd appreciate it if some respect was put into bagging MY things. I'm happy to pay the ten cents or so that you charge for bags so my newly purchased items aren't crushed into oblivion. I get it; working retail can have its challenges, I've managed a major retail store, and I've experienced my share of challenging situations, but I always greeted customers with a smile and a hello, I always took care to treat the items they took time and care to choose and pay for, respectfully. Nothing makes me want to choose a different retailer for my needs in the future more than the way Margaret treated us; or rather, couldn't be bothered to acknowledge our existence, as it were. Perhaps a position in the back of the house in enterprise fulfillment or receiving would suit her better going forward? I'm pretty sure I'm a respectful, pleasant person, and would appreciate simply being acknowledged, or at least some eye ccontact would make the transaction feel a lot less awkward. Target is a great store with well-priced, durable items. I shop at several of the stores in the area and feel that the selection and value are pretty good. I also know that the loss of my business won't break Target's heart. I'm fairly certain that your employees are trained to at least not be unpleasant, just like the majority of retailers when training new hires. Was Margaret out sick that day? This target has rapidly declined from a great store to an awful one. The shelves are never stocked, even with products that came out day of, they aren't put out and when you ask where they are since the website says they have dozens of them, they don't know where they are and don't even check for you. Multiple times now I've done a curbside pickup and they've given me completely different items then what I order. The DPCI's (their item numbers) are even different yet they bring it out and don't even mention it. The store always looks like a hot mess too. Also have had people tell me late in the evening that their shipment from the morning weren't put out yet. This place needs some tlc. It's the only store like this in this town and in the nearby towns too. It takes 30 minutes for myself to drive there only for them not to have what I need. Very sad. read more

Many customers without masks and management refused to ask them to leave. This is very unsafe. We are in a pandemic with nearly 200k Americans dead. It is California law and Target policy to require masks, yet it was not being enforced at this location. If you shop here, you are risking your health. I want to note that many employees were trying their best. One employee at the front was cleaning carts and letting customers know which ones were clean. Terrible. I've shopped this Target many times but more and more it's an unpleasant experience. Usually order online and have shipped but I needed something that I didn't want to wait for so drove in. Empty shelves as has been the case for over 3 years now (thanks COVID) but that's a lot of places. Found what I needed. NyQuil. I already knew going in that I'd have to give my DOB because like having to take your shoes off at the airport you might be buying a bottle of NyQuil to become an aspiring meth chef. There was only one open cash register with a line so I opted to go self check out. Scan my items. Scan the NyQuil and it throws the wait for cashier message. So I wait. And wait. And wait. There were two cashiers at the customer service desk visible to the self check outs. One cashier was too busy on his phone to bother noticing that there were two of the three self check outs waiting for assistance. Then he saunters away walking right past self check out presumably to get a Starbucks to drink while in the phone. Finally and of the other waiting customers goes to the CS desk to ask for help and the remaining cashier did, very nicely. But she told me new rules is I have to actually show my ID now. I was not going to dig through my wallet to get my ID when it's glaringly apparent to anyone with a heartbeat and pulse I'm not a teenage breaking bad. Heard some time ago they have to card EVERYONE because someone somewhere was offended that they weren't carded for alcohol and screamed ageist. FFS. One of the cleanest, well-organized, and pleasant Targets in the region to shop in. On my last visit THREE employees were incredibly helpful in my quest for a microwave- a young lady on the floor who helped me find what I needed and carried the microwave to customer service desk for purchase later. We were rang up at that desk promptly along with a few sundry items we purchased, and another helpful employee brought the microwave out to our car. Incredibly rare to get that kind of help at a big-box store, and everyone was genuinely nice and helpful that I encountered. Another plus- the store is artistically arranged in housewares with beautiful displays. I haven't seen such an aesthetically pleasing Target except in LA. Before I moved to Auburn, I loved going to Target. I could spend hours there at a time. Today I have made the decision to stop Shopping at the Target in Auburn due to the disorganization, cleanliness (should I say lack of), and the gross amount of products They have yet to stock up on SINCE AUGUST 2019. I've been waiting for specific razor heads (flamingo) since August and they STILL HAVENT RESTOCKED. I'm done with this place, I've already canceled my prescriptions there. Target is literally the only big box store of it's kind in Auburn. Kmart- gone! You'd think the management of our Auburn Target would do everything in their power to have the cleanest store, parking lot and area around the store to attract and keep customers. But instead, the exterior of the store and parking lot is a mess and inside the store shelves are messy and bare, aisles are blocked with carts and stock that needs to be put on shelves. The store looks uncared for and downright dirty , cluttered and unorganized. Also- the employees smoking area is right outside the side of the building. So terrible to see. And it smells as I walk in the store like smoke. Target. I love your brand, want to spend my money in my own community of Auburn- please put the effort in and be the best retail location in town. We went to Target/CVS today to have an RX filled. Upon speaking with the RX tech I was told the pharmacist was going to lunch and my Rx would not be ready for 40 minutes at 2 pm. After wandering for 40 minutes through out Target I went back to pick up the rx and was told that the pharmacist actually just left for lunch and it would be another 40 minutes. I said forget it and left. Never again will I go to CVS/Target for a RX, this store is too cheap to hire a second pharmacist. read more

This Target has gone downhill. It's so sad! It's a mess all the time... most isles and shelves are cluttered with empty spots. The shoe area is a mess with piles of random shoes all over the ground so it's hard to find anything. It doesn't have as much of the seasonal items as other Targets have. This Target used to be great so I'm not sure what changed. It's worth driving an extra 10-15 minutes to go to the Target in a Rocklin. I asked an associate for help they not only refused but yelled at me for asking an another shopper for help they would even give at least the address or phone number to give fire dispatchers so they could help get my service dog and I assistance. Recently moved all my prescriptions to the CVS inside Target and couldn't be more pleased. Yes it's less convenient than my previous stand alone CVS but the friendly staff and pharmacist make up for the inconvenience. Recently my husbands dr made an error and sent his rx to Auburn Massachusetts...with the help of pharmacy staff, the error was caught and corrected and I had his prescription in about an hour. Beware this location is extremely racist !! I had a pick up order that was not yet ready and due to the fact it's 11pm and I had my 6 year old an was in a rush to get back home I decided to go inside and get it myself. When I walked in I looked around but couldn't find the item so I went to the service counter for assistance. The young women at the front was terribly rude and started going off about it only being 1 person working pickup cool that's fine this is why I'm asking for assistance to find the item myself. She then told me she didn't know where it was and I needed to find it myself ! They all left me standing in the front for 30 mins until the young man Jordan returned from his busy job of collecting orders. Jordan quickly assisted me with finding my item which he found on a store device all within 30 secs and grabbed the last one from the back. Employees at this location need to take note of how Jordan treats customers. Even my 6 year old asked why nobody would help us and all walked away. I'll never come back to this location again and would encourage anyone of color to stay away because we are not wanted ! read more
