I "Wish I had remembered I reviewed this place. The standout memory? Expensive drinks. Non-alcoholic options like Agua Fresca are $5-$7. Tried the 'Birria stew,' which turned out to be a few chunks of beef in a broth similar to what you'd get with birria tacos--more like ramen without noodles or beef stew without veggies. Adding rice and beans might justify the $18 price, but it's hard to say. Overall, the food is decent, but $30 for a drink and a small bowl of broth feels steep. Plus they freaking charged me 2 bucks for a little additional salsa to their complementary one. Dropping by another star for that ridiculousness

Amazing service, dishes found no where else in Denver and a small little gem! Ambiance is chill and local and don't miss out on amazing mole and huaraches!

I've been looking forward to trying out Tarasco's due to a few recommendations and its positive reviews online. Landing on 3 stars for the authenticity of this spot, fair pricing & great service. I'm sad I couldn't go any higher than 3 stars, however I personally felt that our dishes lacked flavor. I'll admit, I came in with a high bar, so I was expecting our meals to pack a punch, but unfortunately, neither the enchiladas nor tacos excited me. It could have just been an off day, but I was really hoping for more from Tarasco's! The hunt continues for that special local Mexican spot!

My only go-to Mexican restaurant with an extensive vegan menu. This is their bean/rice smothered burrito.

We had a wonderful dinner at Tarasco's. The service was so friendly and our waitress helped us with recommendations - pointing us to two great choices. She even had the back of the house bring me a sample of the protein that I ordered to make sure that I liked it. The food was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. We got the mole and the street tacos. Our only regret was not coming here sooner. This is certainly a neighborhood gem, and we will be regulars from now on!

I searched this place up wanting to get a quality smothered burrito experience that was also vegetarian-friendly. This was clearly the right place, with ample vegan variations on the menu (though I got mine vegetarian with a sprinkling of cheese on top). Options were distinctive, and I loaded up. My burrito was quite beautiful, and the sauce elevated the array of plant-based ingredients inside. A chocolate corn drink delivered the promised mix of flavors. I didn't need to add a lentil soup, and while it wasn't fancy, it was hearty and satisfying and lentil soup remains an underutilized food offering in my estimation. This place was in a fairly anonymous suburban area but was brightly decorated inside. I could have ordered a dozen other things if I'd had room.

This small Mexican food spot on federal has a unique vibe and many options for food Service was really friendly and warm. She gave us an introduction of her favorites and recommendations. My favorite dish was the quesabirria. The beef was very flavorful not to mention the soup for dipping. The soft, melting cheese combine with the contrast of crispy fried tortilla was amazing. The other dish with pork was not very memorable lax flavor, and the pork was dry. Displays also serves different juice with fruit purées. I love to come back and try other dishes

It's a cozy little spot of south federal with booths and tables. The food is authentic and made fresh. The service is quick and just right. We had street tacos and a chicken quesadilla on this visit but we have done take out here on previous occasions and the food was delicious. It's small but the menu is broad and the tastes are amazing. Highly recommended and easy to miss if you aren't looking for it.

The space feels very Root Down in the best way. Funky, artsy, a little mid century, but still comfortable and not trying too hard. Then the food starts showing up and suddenly the whole table is passing plates around because everyone keeps saying "wait, try this." We ordered a bunch of things and the smoked carrots were probably the biggest surprise for me. I would absolutely go back just to eat those again. The masa birria, diver scallops, and grilled artichokes and asparagus were all great too. The hanger steak was cooked perfectly and came with duck fat potatoes, which immediately puts me in a good mood. Dessert also fully delivered. The banana cream pie with black sesame whip was one of those desserts where you keep going back for another bite even when you're already full. It just felt like a really thoughtful meal from start to finish. Definitely one of my favorite dinners I've had in a while.

We walked in without reservations and managed to grab one of the last open tables, so I'd definitely recommend booking ahead. The space has a great atmosphere with low lighting, candles on the tables, and that lively dinner buzz that makes a restaurant feel exciting without being overwhelming. Our server, who I think may have also been a manager, was fantastic and brought such a fun energy to the experience. The house focaccia immediately changed my opinion of the place. Honestly the best focaccia I've ever had. Perfectly crisp on the outside, soft inside, salty, flavorful, and good enough to eat completely on its own. The spring greens were light and fresh, and both pasta dishes were excellent with perfectly al dente pasta and great seasoning. I ordered the chimaera alla vodka, but my friend's no waste gnocchi ended up being my favorite bite of the night. We finished with lattes and tiramisu, and somehow the meal kept getting better. The coffee was genuinely better than what you get at a lot of coffee shops, and the tiramisu was light, balanced, and not overly sweet or soggy like it sometimes can be. I'm already looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu.
