It's kind of a cross between a whipped cream and buttercream. They have a great assortment of pastries, cookies, cakes and more. Today I bought a Memorial Day cake but seriously considered adding the babka bread, which looks like a long danish. I inquired about the chocolate one and was told it was filled with chocolate and hazelnut. Next time for sure. I can often find an easy parking space around the bakery but if not there is a lot across the street, make sure to still pay via the Go Mobile PGH app. The individual cupcakes are piled high with frosting and so decadent. I also find prices here very fair. They have also recently added a little section to the store with Pittsburgh souvenirs for anyone on Mount Washington visiting the city. The interior is a little dim and dated and could use a refresh imo but the treats are first rate. Pro tip, if you are on the Too Good 2 Go app, they frequently offer a surprise box of leftover pastries from the day. Look them up and sign up for notifications because you will need to be on any drop from them right away or it's gone.
