The place was clean with a lot of space. The waitress greeted us and had us seated with a drink very quickly. She was very attentive and offered several recommendations. I ordered the el Diabla shrimp. This was had just the right amount of heat and tasted delicious, just as good as any I have tasted before. My wife had the super tacos with asada. She said they tasted great and were loaded with meat, avocado, and all the good stuff. She ranked it a solid 4. I look forward to re-visit this place and try their different dishes. I hope they are as good as tonight's! This place is located on the West end of town in the shopping center. Not what you would call the best area in town. read more

First timer here! I have been wanting to go try it out today was the day! I walked in and the place was empty, but i was greeted by a very nice girl. I ordered an Alpastor burrito supreme to go. She assured me that it would be ready within 10 minutes. Once i got home i opened the bag and realized that the burrito was huge! And i was given red and hot sauce and a slice of lemon and napkins. My go to for Mexican food in Chowchilla. My husband and I have been going here since they opened and are always happy with our meals. Start with my favorite type of salsa and it just gets better from there. They make an excellent chile relleno that is stuffed with authentic Mexican cheese, not Monterey Jack like other restaurants. My husband's favorite, street tacos, never disappoint and there's many protein options you can choose from. Their menu has a wide variety of choices. The place is clean and the service is excellent. Delicious! They have WAY MORE options for food than their menu. The lady told me about special tacos with a tortilla placed in oil, then an extra tortilla on top with cheese. They are still new. We have been there 2x now. Once me and my kids, once with the wife. First time was "okay". 2nd time, I ordered a chili relleno. HOLY COW. It was amazing, warm flour tortillas to go with it and rice and beans! Not just Chowchilla amazing, but wow I've lived in central CA 43 years amazing! The horchata was not a regular horchata -which is doesn't state anywhere. It had what I think was strawberry chunks in it? The sauce was HORRIBLE. Nothing but vinegar.
