I stopped at the gas station to grab a soda, and noticed the taco truck. I decided to stop and grab dinner. I was very pleased. The Gentleman at the window was very friendly and helpful. I decided to go with a lengua, (tongue) taco, and a fish taco. I go into the store to grab my soda, and when I come out just a couple of minutes later, they are ready. The tacos were amazing. They were very generous with the fillings. The fish taco was flaky, and it was very lightly breaded. Very tasty. Of course, as it's my usual bad habit, I tore into it before I could grab a picture. That lengua taco was just as good. The meat was very tender, it was rich, but not overly so. The salsa and the cilantro gave it a nice "pop" of freshness. I love. Lengua, this was right up. Such a great find... prices are reasonable for what you get.. They fill up the meat on the burritos! The meat is so flavorful and done well. Carnitas are on point here! We recently stopped by for a first visit and it will not be our last! Birria birria birria was so juicy and good, especially on the Super Burrito. It was exactly the right amount of burrito and very flavorful. My husband loved his chile relleno burrito and said immediately he would eat one again-and this man is so picky about chile relleno anything because he once had the perfect chile relleno like 22 years ago in Texas somewhere and he won't stop comparing every one since and talking about it so when I say this is a fairly big deal, I mean it. There are lots of options for Mexican food in Humboldt County. I continually return to Taqueria LaBarca. The service is always friendly and the food is consistently delicious. They have three different kinds of salsa their pico and red chipotle salsa are fantastic. This is the taco truck that is next to the gas station on Myrtle. There is another taco truck about a half mile down the road. That is definitely not Taqueria La Barca. Make sure you go to the right place. I really like their Carnitas and also Carne Asada is delicious. I like to order everything with extra cilantro. The gentleman in the taco truck Doesn't speak a ton of English, but is really friendly and is a great person to practice your Spanish with! read more

The nastiest, overpriced tacos you could ever eat, it has absolutely no flavor even with onions, cilantro, and salsa. I think it's just store bought, already seasoned meat and they warm it up. Absolutely gross and $15.50 for 4 tacos is absurd. The guy also has zero customer service etiquette. He's unfriendly and not welcoming at all. It's usually dead over there. Heard a bunch about the La Barca Taco Truck that's parked somewhere in town but this one is parked near my house so I gave it a go. I'm surprised there's no yelp page for it... so here it is! It's just a little trailer and one guy but he made our 2 burritos fairly quickly. They were out of Carnitas so I got the Pastor burrito. There was a little mix up with our order but its a loud windy street so make sure you speak up when ordering. It tasted really good but I keep forgetting that in Humboldt "hot" means flavorful and spicy and "mild" means tomato water. So next time I'm getting the hot salsa. $7 was a little steep for a taco truck burrito but it was pretty good sized and comes standard with guac and sour cream. The Super Burrito looked about the same size but comes covered in cheese and sauce, also known as "wet" for a dollar more. read more

Wonderful tacos! I always get the 2 taco plate with lengua and shrimp. Soooo much meat in them and the horchata is delish.
