Another Eat the World LA Find That Delivered…read more Weekday workday, only an hour for lunch, and I was craving soup -- so I decided to try another Eat the World LA find: CH Y La Birria in Compton. As usual, it did not disappoint! Since I don't normally make my way to this side of town unless I'm working, I've been making a point to explore restaurants near work. I ordered the Birria Ramen online, and pickup was super easy. My order was ready promptly and ahead of schedule. The staff was friendly and even gave me a helpful tip: ordering over the phone is actually cheaper than ordering online. Definitely good to know for next time! I brought my ramen back to work and enjoyed it there. They also offered chips, which ended up being the perfect addition. I used them to scoop up the birria and consommé first, then went back to the ramen. The 16 oz serving was generous enough that I even had leftovers for lunch the next day. I'd definitely order the Birria Ramen again, but I'm also curious to try some of their other offerings next time. Another successful Eat the World LA recommendation!

We usually buy asada tacos and have tried the burritos as well but definitely like the tacos better(not because the burritos are bad but because the tacos are so good) A good latino/a knows that in order for the tacos to be good the tortillas have to be tasty and soft without getting saggy. That's just what this place does. I have never had the jamaica but I've had the horchata several times and its alright. My boyfriend loves the agua de pina and they sell bottled soda as well.
