I completed assessments with multiple companies and decided on Critter Control because David was so kind, knowledgeable, and incredibly thorough with his work (kudos to you David!) He was happy to answer all my questions and it really put me and my family at ease. His assessment report was so detailed and we were quoted such a great price compared to other companies. Their process is straight forward, they are transparent with their costs and don't try to push additional services that you don't need. We finished our repairs a couple of weeks ago and we went from hearing movement in the attic every single day to pure silence. The communication was excellent, even on a holiday weekend I got called back within an hour of reaching out with questions, which I certainly did not expect! They arrived promptly for appointments and were thoughtful about avoiding tracking dirt into our home. They worked with us to customize their work to our coastal climate and were very transparent about exactly what materials they would be using (all top of the line, industral-grade!). I have pets and toddlers and they took my concerns about chemical disinfects seriously and offered several options to make sure I was comfortable with what was used in our home. They really seem to take pride in their work and enjoyed sharing before and after pictures to demonstrate all the improvements they made to our crawl space. I have given NorCal multiple chances to fix the problems but they have not answered my calls,…read moreemails or texts. They came out to fix my rodent issues in the crawl space and attic. Max came out and seemed like a nice guy. I thought he did some things in a strange order, which means that rodents would still be there. Sure enough, rodents are still there after multiple visits. Their business model is based on how many animals they remove so of course they have an incentive to keep coming back it seems. I sent them video evidence and they did not respond. They keep sending me reminders for invoices for incomplete work. They were also supposed to put a barrier attached to a door for a crawl space where rates were eating their way into the space. That never happened so of course the rats still have an entryway. On a related note, their technicians do not wear shoe guards, so they walk around your house with the same shoes that are walking over rodent droppings. I do not recommend them at all. I used them based on the great reviews and the family owned business model.

Since I am nonetheless nervous about termites, I decided to take advantage of their free inspections, which is typical of the industry I believe. And a good thing. About a week later and just a couple days before they were to come over, there was a big deposit of Frasse in our bedroom. I took a picture and posed the question to Gemini and Meta AI, which both identified it as from dry wood termites. When Robert came, he did the same. Robert explained the immigration details well. Kept in touch. Fumigator who put tent on also was communicative. Does not appear that I received a call in advance from person who took tent off. Would have liked that. Overall, I am happy with the results so far. Well, at least I feel like they did the work and I am hopeful that I will not see any termite Frasse in the next three years, which is their guarantee. I would use them again for a fumigation.

My house used to have cold spots and heater would kick on every 20 minutes. Now there are no cold spots and the house stays warmer a lot longer and again much quieter from external noise. I was thoroughly impressed with TAPS Termites. Rob, the inspector, was honest and professional, conducting a free inspection without trying to upsell me on unnecessary services. He found no termite evidence in the house, though I have them in the yard, and instead, he advised on fixing wood rot and a leak that could attract termites. We got a quick response from Tim and set up an appointment with Fili to come out for an assessment and estimate for the job. We had found a tiny hole in the wall by our ceiling of our entryway with tiny shavings of wood around it and on the floor below. Fili examined our attic, crawlspace, interior and exterior of our house. He found evidence of termites in the front of our house on the siding by our front door and in the spot we found. Luckily it wasn't too bad and could be resolved with localized treatment where they drill small holes and squirt in a foam that kills the termites. He gave us an estimate. And we got back to him after a few other termite companies came out and checked our house and fave estimates. It seems the other two companies were not as thorough as Fili. The other companies didn't even check the front siding of our house and were more expensive. We booked our appointment with Chang An Termite Control. They showed up today on time and got to work. The job was done is an hour. We were very pleased with their excellent customer service, their professionalism and honesty. They did an amazing job.

The only problem I have is The Company said " once the termite work is completed they would come out and do a re-inspection at no costs. " They failed to mention it had to be done with them only or they will charge a new termite report for $325.00. Again, No problem if I have to repay. The problem is they agreed to do the re inspection and canceled it a day later due to them not getting the repair job. I told them their prices were 50% higher for simple repairs. Most customers can do the simple repairs or have a contractor friend do it below costs. This is the first time a termite company refused to complete the final inspection in the last 20 years. IT IS BETTER TO PICK A TERMITE COMPANY THAT ONLY DOES THE REPORTS. NO WORK, this way you know they are not trying to make a higher profit on inflated repair jobs.
