Had heating and air conditioning installed a year ago and yesterday and today (85 degrees) the air would NOT turn on. Needless to say I was extremely upset...... Called the office and Zach came out and fixed it quickly :) Dave (the salesperson) needs to be let go or retire as he doesn't represent the company well. He talks on and on and on about himself and never explains the products. They sent him out for the service after my one year install and he never brought a filter and did not actually "inspect the units!!! Wouldn't recommend Dave. So it's half an hour past their appointment set up last week ... nobody shows up .... I call the office and some gal says that they could show up as late as 1 PM if they wanted to ... I hired them to install a tv mount above my fireplace, my wall was destroyed, mount incorrectly installed even after 2 electricians! Tapps Electric is either incompetent, dishonest, or both. The owner Will is rude, unhelpful, and does not care about customers. I lost count of how many times Tapps Electric provided false information and did not return calls and messages left to the office. Multiple estimates for different jobs I received were incomplete or contained false information. Due diligence and professionalism were totally absent. Only after work finished and failed was I told that if I wanted anything to actually work, it would cost 4x the original quote, even though everything was identified before work started. Either it was known the planned job wouldn't work but work proceeded anyway, or it should have been known the job wouldn't work based on the facts that were identified in advance. Those explanations reduce to dishonesty or incompetence. The owner says it's not their problem. Responsibility appears to be a foreign concept to Tapps Electric. In addition to the false information, general incompetence, and waste-of-your-time owner, Tapps Electric technicians also quit the company and left in the middle of a job, damaged my interior walls, left behind giant messes of debris and garbage each time at each site, left the job as "done" when it wasn't, caused my overhead wires to smoke and burn which could have burned down my garage, no-showed on appointments to troubleshoot a failed installation after I had paid in full, and wouldn't return phone calls about the no-shows. This install was supposed to take one day, and instead it took more than two months of failed visits, unreturned calls, and no-shows for the owner to say 'too bad, we took your money and nothing works, and we knew it wouldn't work or should have, but that's your problem'. Do yourself a favor and avoid Will and Tapps Electric. read more

I called to schedule a small repair job. I was set up with an appointment and told that no job is too small. The morning of my appointment, I was called and told my technician was running late. I told her I was open all day. She said why don't you send me some pictures of what you need done and I can maybe send you a quote over the phone. I did as she suggested and no response. I called to see if she got my text and she said she was just looking at it and would get back. After a few hours, I texted again asking for my quote. Never heard back. It must have been too small of a job for them. No integrity, lousy customer service and just downright flaky company if this is how they treat their prospective customers. One bad experience can do a lot of damage to your reputation. Watch out who you hire! I'd certainly stay away from these flakes! read more

IT WAS my first electronic car that we have owned. He even sent me pictures and website to order making sure everything was okay before he left. So, our breaker for our hot water heater kept tripping and it was a Friday night. I called quite as few electricians to see if anyone would be able to come by on Saturday. Not one called me back. Then on Saturday I continued my calls, going down the list of electricians on yelp. I came to tapps electric, and even though they just started their business and had only one yelp review, I was desperate and I didn't care. The phone picked up to a lady and I told her our situation and that we had no hot water and had little kids and could they come by sometime over the weekend. She said that most likely yes, and a technician would call us back. I then continued to make more calls to electricians thinking they may not call back but no one else picked up or called back. Then I got a call back from Tapps electric! They were going to come out the next day at 2pm (Sunday). Needless to say, William came out and handled our problem and we now have hot water!
