Pretty simple but very clean. The guy at the register was very cordial. Helpful and friendly. I ordered the M3. The bbq pork banh mi. It was pretty good. The bread was the shorter but wider variation. It had that traditional crusty exterior and soft interior. It had the usual suspects. Pickled daikon and carrots, cucumber, jalepenos and cilantro. The pork was very tasty, nicely marinated. My only gripe was the ingredients were kind of skimpy. They could have added a little more veggies or protein. Overall, a great addition to Eastlake. Definitely have to try their other food offerings and drinks.

Either offer it for free or option to buy like GongCha. I didn't like they gave a plushie to someone that didn't order milk tea right in front of me! Had to ask to separate hot food from my cold drinks which they did. They do have great selection of other drinks and the food options are very good and reasonably priced. I was a huge KFT fan for the KM loc on Convoy where they always had lines for a good stretch. But they couldn't compete with all the newer boba spots and closed.

I also ordered half sweet but it tasted like full sweetness to me. Drink was powdery, I had a grainy feel in my mouth after every sip. Also the drink was warm, so it wasn't as cold as I would like it and most of the ice was melted. Not sure what was supposed to be roasted but didn't detect any roasted flavor at all. Boba was soft and chewy though. There's so many great boba options out there, I was disappointed with this experience. The cute little ear lid is a nice touch but I'd rather have a smooth matcha drink than cute packaging to be honest. Also, with so many matcha places in SD, this drink really falls short. Service was okay, the cashier seemed confused when I asked for alternate drink options and I had to repeat my order a few times, because he was getting the two matchas confused. Unfortunately, not one of my top choices for boba shops
