I love this happy lemon location, they're always so nice and today (9/5/26) I accidentally ordered a hot taro milk tea instead of the cold one for my niece. The guy made a new cold one for us no problem :) Which we were extremely grateful for! 10/10 customer service. read more

This place is a hit or miss. Most of the time my wife would receive her order correctly with 25% sugar and less ice. A couple of times it's overloaded with sugar compared to her actual request, in which she end up not liking it and giving it to me. I don't like "happy" lemon. There was a time when our order was ready. For some reason, no one called out our number. We decided to ask if our order was ready. And as mentioned, it was just sitting on the counter waiting to be called. The place is always busy especially during the weekend. The area where they make the drinks and the floor, needs some cleaning to be done. Suggestions to the owner or manager of this location, make sure the customer receives the order they requested correctly, no attitude is needed toward the customers, as you work at a customer service oriented industry , and keep the area clean throughout the day. read more

Boba spot inside Plaza Bonita Mall. Great place to grab something sweet whilst doing all your shopping inside this local spot. Don't forget to get the app to get points on the food and drinks you buy. My favorite boba tea is the salted cheese milk tea, and a bubble waffle. Super sweet but worth the sweet treat! read more

Happy Lemon - E4. Mango Smoothie C4. Iced Kumquat Lemon Jasmine Green Tea - Bubble Tea Near Me - National City, California

I haven't been to Plaza Bonita mall in forever but I can say that they've really up'd their food court appeal because wow are there so many options. I really wanted a milk tea and I'm big fan of Happy Lemon in general so I ordered the ube milk tea with cheese foam. My husband stayed while I picked up another order and when he came to find me I noticed the coloring was all wrong. The flavor of the milk tea was bland and the cheese foam was so lacking. I'm not sure what could have happened, but man was I disappointed, I was too tired to go back to have them make a new one but I will not be ordering again from this location. read more

Stop by on a Friday morning and it wasn't as busy. The young lady that took my order was really friendly and was very helpful. I ordered the mango matcha smoothie with boba. It was delicious and it did not disappoint. It wasn't too sweet and extremely refreshing. I have definitely stop by since and continue to order the sane drink, it's always great. The music playing in the background is the music the mall has playing. read more

The drinks were good and at the end the person who gave me the drink was nice. But the only problem was the cashier was super rude. She did not once ask me if I was ready to order, or asked me if I needed help. She kept staring and I had assumed they were changing registers but nope she was just standing there. Was not happy with the service i received in the beginning. read more

This is for the service of Ren at plaza bonita mall who doesn't listen to customers. Almost evryday I buy 2 or more item and requested to have it in a bag, he told me it is inky for more than 3orders since i am holding a bag of pretzels also. How inconvenient for a customer to beg for a bag. Very frustrating read more

Got an avocado shake for the first time. It was strange cause I didn't love it but I didn't hate it neither. Lol At the very bottom it had like brown sugar that helped sweeten it. Wish it had more throughout the shake as it need more sweetness for my liking. read more

The drinks are amazing, but having only one person taking and making orders is ridiculous. There was a full line, and I waited about 35 minutes just to get my drink, and that's not even counting all the online orders coming in. Management really needs to staff this place better. Considering it's located inside a mall, this level of service is unacceptable. Double thumbs down for management. read more

Everytime we come here once it's an hour away from closing they won't make waffles. Too me that's crazy

We came before closing (this page states they close at 9p) and barely walked up to the counter and the worker there didn't give us a chance to even see the "we are closed" sign before he stated with a rude tone and his face even showed his annoyance with us walking up to the counter. This location always takes forever but I was not expecting that attitude. I understand you probably had a long day but if you would have just said "sorry we are already closed" there would have been no problem. read more

Pretty fast with employees making drinks and very customer friendly! Store is very well designed and decorated.

C7 Mango lemonade is great. I also like the puff waffles. I would definitely one back

This is my second time and so far the waffles are my favorite the original cheese and ores ana the fact that you can order 1/2 and 1/2 the teas so far ok but I'm dying to try the smoothies I would come back to try more read more

How do you like this place if you see employees struggling to accommodate people. Short staff foreals and employees are really looking drained and poop tired. Why? One person only working, yes its weekdays but managers should know when to schedule employees during prime hours. Do you always anticipate its always slow? No! Management please be nice to your employee. Have some empathy please. Ending they can be grumpy or stress to customer and I can't blame them plus it compromise the service. read more

The worst Happy Lemon Ive been to. Today there was a long line and for some reason it took almost 30 minutes just to get my order taken. And the baristas werent even busy, I know this because after every customer thats been helped there drinks come out in 3 minutes or less. After every customer the cashier helps , he goes to do something else and takes an extra 5 minutes. Like Im confused you cant restock after a long line ?? You have to do it then and there while visibly aware theres a long ass line ???? There should not be any reason for it to have taken this long, happy lemon you need to work on your plaza bonita location because who seriously wants to wait 30 minutes for a dang drink. read more

Sadly, never coming back to this location again. I am a huge fan of Happy Lemon but the employees at this store front need to be re-trained on how to deliver consistent and quality tea. It has only been twice that I come here in a couple of months frame of time and yet the location only offers Large drink sizes, which is bizarre! Way too much tea for one serving. The other issue that I've had was the employee(s) not following my order on my sweetness level. I like my tea on the less sweet side (25%) and both times I was given a drink that was sickeningly sweet and far beyond my requested 25% sweetness. It's sad to see this location struggle because I know happy lemon is capable of far more. read more

Usually a wait if you're ordering waffles. It's in Plaza so a lot of younger ppl waiting in line to order. This last visit was pretty quick. My order was messed up but luckily I caught it while looking at the receipt after paying. Was able to walk to cashier & wait for person to finish paying then they adjusted my order. The salted cheese foam was superrrrrr salty. Made my husband gag & spit it out after taking a sip. The waffles are good. I ordered half/half Oreo & cheese. I ordered a mango matcha smoothie which is supposedly one of their most favorites drinks. Tastes like green tea. Didn't have a hint of mango in it. Pretty expensive for what it is. Paid near $30 for 2 drinks & 2 waffles. Ambiance is loud & hectic depending on the day you come. It is a mall so expect a lot of high schoolers hanging out. The drinks alone were mediocre. I've had better. read more

Happy Lemon is always a great place to get a cold and refreshing drink. I loved their avocado matcha smoothie, mango matcha smoothie, brown sugar milk boba, and wintermelon with boba. came here to order and patiently waited for an employee to call us or speak to us. nothing complete silence and just IGNORED. there was 3 employees working and none of them even bothered to say anything. we were right infront of them and just nothing, not even a sign of acknowledgment. i work customer service and i understand but ignoring your customers is not very customer "service". there's nothing HAPPY about Happy Lemon Plaza Bonita. read more

Was here yesterday and there was no line so I waited in front of the cashier since I was standing there for ~15 minutes assuming since no one saw me and a line started to form. The individual working there told me I needed to go back in line when I was being ignored for 15 minutes and waiting in the nonexistent line up until people waited behind me so I waited 15 minutes just to go back in line. Not only that the female with heavily placed blush on the register was chewing her gum (unsanitary) since she was obnoxiously chewing it. I ordered an A3 with boba and extra oreo but for some reason they put a lot of ice in my drink when I asked for a regular amount. Don't like the happy lemon here due to customer service, always a bad experience. I had a review for Eastlake but also a bad experience and bad reputation in the work community due to bad management.
