This was one of my favorite places in Miami. The wait staff was amazing and so friendly. My friend and I were waiting on a tour for an hour or and we found this place. I had breakfast on our cruise so I only order a drink. The sangrias are wonderful and my friend ordered churros and a mimosa. After a while we were given complimentary sangrias. Great service, the waiter even brought out complimentary champagne for us in the end! Ordered a bunch of items and shared it, got the croqueta, calameres, salmon ahumado, empanadas vegetarian paella, meat paella, vegetariana flatbread, and Made in Spain flatbread. Conveniently located on Lincoln Road, this hidden gem is a must. We were walking down the street looking for a place to grab a bite Valentine's Day and was a little overwhelmed by all the restaurant hostesses along the strip trying to persuade you to dine when we came across this restaurant and the hostess politely showed us to the menu and told us about the happy hour special they were currently having. We decided to give it a try and what a pleasant surprise it was. The outdoor seating it pretty nice facing the road however still somewhat private. The margarita and sangria were part of the happy hour special. I ordered the Churrasco steak which came with a salad and fries and my husband ordered the fried snapper. Everything was delicious and food was fresh. As a Valentine's Day treat, the waiter offered us a round of beer or sangria on the house. The food was delicious! Service was amazing! Atmosphere is great in Lincoln Road with great people watching. The paella was a great value at $60 and plenty for 2-3 people. It was loaded with clams, mussels, shrimp, and squid, and the flavors were spot on. The salmon was at least 10 ounces of beautifully prepared salmon, over a delicious salad, served with steamed veggies, and rice. A great lighter dish for those trying to eat healthier. Do not get fooled by highly rated google reviews. We were hungry and picked a restaurant with lots of reviews. This is not the place to go if you want a good quality paella. I have had better. Service also sucks and inattentive. They missed two dishes from our order and items were not taken off from the check. We had to make them fix it. They seemed short staffed. No water refills or checked if everything was ok. Service charge was added automatically for our party and definitely not worth $40. Will not be returning. read more

I was strolling down Lincoln road searching for a place to eat on Christmas Day. Food was to perfection. There was outdoor heating for dining, the atmosphere was lovely and peaceful. I ordered the calamari appetizer which was delicious. Followed by a churrasco dinner served with fries and salad. I enjoyed every bite of my meal. I would definitely come back and recommend dining at this establishment. Oh and can't forget the Tapelia sangria which has champagne. I was promptly greeted by the host and had no waiting time for seating. The server was polite and friendly, he recommended the sangria and didn't disappoint. We had to ask for water. The ceviche is what deserves the 1 star. I'm rating this restaurant. The seafood paella was terrible. The shrimps weren't fresh, and neither were the mussels. The rice was hard. If they want to claim this as a seafood paella, put more than 3-4 shrimp and mussels. For the price we are paying, it was not worth it. **WARNING** they will keep your credit card! We ate at this restaurant just after new years. Food was ok (pizza in bread is not flatbread pizza and paella was meh) the worst part was they didn't give me my credit card back. We were a large group so it was chaotic and I do Realize it is my responsibility to check. I realized after 1 hour and called the restaurant. The manager said he had it and i come by to get it. When I got there (45 min drive), they said they did not actually have the card. Turns out, they had a stack of 40-50 credit cards that I looked through of all the cards "left" at the restaurant. My card was not in the stack but I believe they have a major problem with taking cards or not reminding their patrons to check that they have their cards. The other annoying part is that the manager specifically said he had my card, which was not the case. The woman there was helpful but alas no card so had to get a new one. I won't be back so if you go, pay by cash or double check youngetbuour card back!! read more

We had such a great meal here- first we went to 626 Lincoln Rd. That's where my open table reservation sent me to. Guess what? They are not there- Ole Steakhouse is there so first we walked away and then went back and asked them where this restaurant was- the person did not speak English but pointed down the way. They had moved and we found it! Tapelia was definitely a good find. There is a nice personal light on the table though ours had to be replaced (it kept blinking on and off). My kids ended up with chicken fingers and fries and a salad with feta Laura, the waitress was very nice and brought us bread and butter. I ordered a glass of pinot noir because the paella that my husband and I ordered took about 20-30 minutes to make. We ordered the one with seafood (clams, mussels and shrimp) and it was delicious. We sat outside because it was a beautiful night. There I a guy who goes around and plays the guitar if you want to hear a song. I side they have it decorated nicely but no one wanted to sit inside. The staff were all wearing masks and inside were social distancing signs. It has a nice but casual atmosphere which was perfect for our family. I would recommend this venue. read more

On my list to avoid ever coming back to. They stopped us as we were walking by and kept saying it's happy hour. But got us to sit because he said they have free mimosa's as long as you order food. Two seconds after speaking to our server, yeahhh that's not true. They have some drink specials but no free nothing. Asked about the sangrias and our server recommended the Blue version instead of the traditional red wine. It came out and tastes like gummy bears. I personally couldn't even drink it. They knew that neither of us drank our sangrias but it wasn't removed from the check. I didn't ask for it to be, so no biggie. My date asked if there were a lot of onions in the mussels and was assured that there is not. When it arrived, it was literally just largely sliced onions covering the entire dish. Our server checked on us once the food arrived and when we pointed it out, she said the cooks sometimes use a lot or a little. Depends on the day. So she didn't eat a bite of that. She had also said she would include bread for the sauce. The bill had a charge for that bread we never touched due to the onions. The Serrano ham and croquettes were good. The overall experience was a bust. I will order plenty and will tip on top of the included service charge normally. Don't need the lies or up charges. Lincoln Road is an experience (pre-Covid). We confirmed happy hour prices and items but we're not given these prices upon paying and instead paid full price for all items. Additionally, the paella was so-so and I was expecting it to be a lot more flavorful and the chicken not to be so dry after just coming back from Spain and having theirs. We also were overcharged for the Paella as well. We ordered the ~$50 on the menu but were charged for the larger portion at $112. Our server never confirmed with us which one we wanted and our receipt was never itemized until after it was signed and printed. This experience leaves such a sour taste in my mouth. He's never had it before. Everything was delicious and the staff was so friendly. I let them know we were celebrating his birthday when he went to the restroom and they came out with a horn and sang happy birthday to him he was so shocked lol. The only thing I found difficult and this was all of Miami is the language barrier lol. But I loved this place and I would definitely be back. My friend and I were walking down the stripped and got flagged down by one of their staff trying to get us to dine here (most, if not all of the restaurants on the strip do this). We were kind of hungry, so we decided to sit down and eat. We were asked if we preferred to dine inside or outside. Since the weather was super nice, we decided to sit outside so we could enjoy the weather and to watch the passerby as well. After sitting a while, finally our waiter came out. We placed our order and then he went inside to place the order. Food took a really long time to prepare and while we were waiting, I saw our waiter keep coming in and and out to check other tables, but never ours. Not a quick stop to update us on the status of our order or anything. After the food came out (brought out by someone else), we just started eating. And for whatever reason, our original waiter just never came back to check on us and we had to call on a nearby waitress to ask for anything. She would be the one helping us through the rest of our dining experience. To keep this short, the food was okay. My flatbread was pretty good and the portion was big so that was a plus. But other than that, service was severely lacking and it took too long for them to prep the food. Next time I'm in Miami Beach, I will for sure avoid this place. Just not worth it, especially with plenty of other restaurants to choose. read more

I don't write many negative reviews these days, but the breakfast food we had was so memorably bad I want to write this as a placeholder to remind myself to avoid this Lincoln Road tourist trap in the future. Other reviews do mention some nice sounding options at dinner time, so it's possible that breakfast is just not a strength. Pros: - Our sever and hostess were lovely and accommodating. - There's pleasant outdoor seating - My partner enjoyed his (diminutive) pressed panini. Cons: - Pancakes were clearly from a mix and served with a Mrs. Buttersworth-like corn syrupy substance and... I think Cool Whip in place of whipped cream. - A bacon and eggs breakfast plate was fair, but so small that our skinny anti-food 9-year old didn't find the portion size sufficient. - Side salads were made with fresh mesclun to start, but everything came with glops upon glops of corn syrupy, industrial grade honey mustard dressing, which kind of ruined it for most of us. - Our Bloody Mary was straight from the Mr. and Mrs. T's bottle (yich) + very weak. I'm not sure why we never really learn to avoid food on Lincoln Road. (It's like eating in Times Square, NYC: Food is inevitably going to be bad and overpriced.) This time around, we just got a little desperate to be frank. We went parasailing on the beach nearby early, did a lot of walking around, afterwards -- and basically stopped at the first place we could find that had food on the menu our kids found acceptable before they digested themselves from the inside out. Don't be fooled by all the google reviews. That's what happened to me. At the end of the meal they ask you to rate them on google, so I do believe the reviews are inflated for that reason. The service was okay and for that they earned an extra star. But if you are looking for authentic paella, look elsewhere. They definitely don't cook everything together in the same pot. It was not full of flavor like I'm used to. It tasted as if someone tried to make it at home, had all the components, but not the skill. Very disappointing.
