Got some polycarbonate here custom cut for a garage window panel. The folks working at the store are very helpful with answering questions and helping pick a product for your needs. Prices were very reasonable as well.

Plexiglass for skylight--textured and opaque so can't see the duct work and insulation in my attic.

Very easy to select the size and style I wanted. Came quickly and was a reasonable price. Turned out exactly as I wanted.

Came in looking to get an acrylic circle with holes to act as a terrarium lid. The team here came up with an amazing idea I didn't even think was an option. They took a thicker piece of acrylic and shave down half so the lid works like an actual lid and won't slip off. From the front desk to production the whole team was informative and helpful in helping choose material and sizes thatd work best for my jars! They were also just so friendly and the establishment felt very welcoming. I got the final product the same day and the quality of cut was perfect for what I needed. The acrylic is clear and looks great on my jars. I definitely want to come back here again for any special project pieces (or more terrarium lids).

I came into TAP Plastics hoping to get acrylic signs for my wedding (a welcome sign, guestbook sign, seating chart and signature drink) the next week, I was a little bit stressed because of course I waited until the last minute and didn't know where to start really. I had an idea of the sign holders but I didn't know if I should get the acrylic sheets first or after. Anyways, I went into the store looking a little lost and I believe it was Jeff, the store manager, who helped me. I told him what I needed and the sizes, I was explaining the holders I had seen on Amazon. He asked me to pull it up on my phone, got the dimensions so the sheets would fit perfectly in the groove and went and cut them right then! It was 4 sheets- 2- 18"x 24" and 2- 8"x 10" Jeff came back out with them perfectly cut in like 2 mins, he told me to sand the edges down and explained how to do it. I thought I would have to wait a couple of business days! He was so so nice and I am truly grateful for his kindness and felt instantly relieved that it was so easy! I love this place!!

    So many types of plastic!

It's amazing to me the tap plastics offers a custom plastic cutting service right in the middle of a vibrant commercial area! Instead of ordering and shipping material from online, this option was way more convenient to get a custom cut piece of acrylic for a birdcage! The service was super friendly, and the transparency and pricing is much appreciated. I also really liked that. They have samples on the floor of all the different options available so that you can compare them and shoes on the ones that fit your needs and budget. if you are looking for an economical way to smooth the edge of your acrylic, I would strongly recommend the route and scrape. If the folks there are not busy, it seems like you can get a reasonable size piece of acrylic cut within less than an hour, sometimes in as little as a few minutes. It's also great that they have lots of odds and ends of plastic for sale. It seems like they are really trying to use all of it, which is great from a sustainability perspective. Whether you have a specific project in mind, or are just looking for something to unleash your creativity, I would definitely recommend stopping by!

I had fun working on visualizing prototype display risers for my upcoming art craft event.

I visited this store last Saturday, and was personally helped with outgoing effort from the working staff. The plastic products are so inspiring as you can personalize products to be custom made to your specific need. Joselito, was an amazingly helpful at my visit. I live in the Sierra Valley now, but when traveling back to San Jose, this store is a blessing to have to shop at!!

Everything was cut precisely! Exactly what I wanted!

I highly recommend this store. I came here a couple of times to get materials for school projects and the staff was always so nice and helpful. The store is super clean and organized. They cut the materials to size and the cut was always good and precise! Only today when I came to get my ABS sheets cut I was helped by a young lady (Mariah I think) that was a little rude and not helpful, but the technician guy there was extremely nice and helped me out with my stuff. Everything came out good and I had to ask him to cut it again because I told him the wrong sizes. He did not even charge me for the recutting fees and I really appreciate that! Will always come back to this store in the future to get more materials, but I hope they train that young lady on how to talk to customer and assist them nicely.

Odyssey flight case. Mixer mounted with On Stage brand 8 lb metal bracket.

What do you do when the vendor no longer makes a rack mount kit for your dated mixer? You go to TAP Plastics for a solution! I have a flight case that weighs in at +50 lbs with current mixer mount. This means I have to pay extra fees to fly with it. I was planning to fly with it in less than a week. I wasn't expecting a solution so soon then BAM! A fabricated solution same day! At least six pounds saved! Special shout out to Lito, expert fabricator! I showed him my flight case and how the mixer is mounted. He took a few measurements. A few hours later a well-fitting, sturdy custom rack mount kit was created. Lito is very knowledgeable, detailed, and easy to work with. Thank you, Lito, Shadana, Mariah, and the rest of the TAPS crew that worked on 4/1/2023 for a great experience! TAPS was suggested by my brother. My only regret is not going to them sooner!

    Clear polycarbonate cover

Have to thank Bianca and Raphael for their patience and service. Ordered custom sized desktop cover- went with the clear polycarbonate which looked fantastic- It is a longer than average desk so more limited in material- they were helpful in guiding on what was available and in stock. A little hiccup and delay but they took care of everything with professionalism. It was the end of the year so we understand. We are thankful to be working with a local business and the personal service offered.

The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, and they helped trim and flatten the rug at the end. It took us some time to learn how to use the tufting guns properly and it felt like they were understaffed. It would've been nice to have more guidance throughout the process, like if we had any questions we had to wait a very long time for a staff member to be available to help. The seating for tufting is also very close together and it can get a little cramped. But as I mentioned earlier, we were very happy with our finished rugs. After we finished tufting, it took them about an hour to finish them off and we were able to take them home the same day. We also did decoden, which was fun! I was impressed by the charm collection, but it was very hard to find letter charms since they were all mixed up and scarce. Overall, the crafts turned out great, just disappointed by the service. I understand that it was a weekend evening and it wasn't the staff's fault, they were all very kind and understanding. Just understaffed! With tufting especially, having more staff available to help throughout the process if needed would make this experience much more enjoyable.

I finally got around to framing it and went to the Michaels location off Coleman. I was assisted by a young gentleman, who was very friendly and helpful. I'm the worst when it comes to making decisions. I have to analyze every little thing, and then I get stuck in analysis paralysis. The associate was so patient with me, and he didn't rush me through the process. I also feel like he didn't limit me on variations of frame colors and matboard. He brought out everything to ensure that I had considered all my options. I relied heavily on his guidance and settled on an elegant thin silver frame with a blue mat. I called Michael's a week after the expected due date and was informed that it would be ready the following day. I was glad to see that the gentleman who helped me with my custom frame was the same person checking out my product. He carefully laid the framed print out, and I was stunned by how amazingly cohesive the frame and matting looked with the overall print. It was honestly perfect. This was my first custom frame job EVER - not just from Michael's. I was so pleased with their customer care and execution that I would not hesitate to go to Michaels Coleman custom framers!

He would then focus on his own pieces instead of checking on how to students were doing. The classes rarely started on time because the instructor would be eating their late lunch and would consistently forget what he taught us the previous week. Because there was poor time management, we would be working on pieces and then 15 minutes before the class would end, we would be told we have to start cleaning up so everyone would rush to finish what they were doing Because there was barely any hands on instruction, I was constantly watching online videos from other pottery instructors before class to teach myself the tips I was missing from my own instructor The studio also lacked a proper storage system, so every single week we came in, our pieces were in a different place which made it extremely difficult to find our work -- I lost a few pieces because of this The overall experience has been so disappointing and a waste of time and money - if you are serious about making pottery a hobby, I would suggest looking for a different pottery studio
