Would like to have seen some vegan gluten-free options on the menu. We all agreed that it would be a great takeout restaurant. The atmosphere was not conducive to a good dining experience. The dining room was half full and between the other diners talking and the music, we had a hard time hearing each other as we attempted to engage in conversation while sitting in a booth together. Additionally, one of our diners saw the fine print on the bottom of the menu noting a "temporary 2% surcharge on all meals" We all agreed the restaurant would be better off increasing the price 2% than adding a "surcharge". My husband and I went here recently for a quick dinner. We have been to many tap houses, and the food and drinks seem to be pretty comparable to what were used to. The service however seemed unprofessional. Our concern came when it was time to pay the bill. We never received an itemized receipt with everything we ordered. Instead, we were given a handheld device, and were told to do the waitress tip first then the rest will show up. Needless to say, it never showed up. We frequent other restaurants that also use these handheld devices and have always been able to see what we were being charged for. We felt hustled by the fact that we didn't get to see exactly what we were charged for even if it was correct. After realizing the error, we asked the waitress for the receipt and she let us know that we should've asked for it specifically before using the machine. She also mentioned that this was how she was trained and how its always done. No empathy, apology, or nothing. This just left us with the bad feeling and unfortunately, we won't be going back. read more

They thought I was 21 when they were playing some kind of giveaway bingo (I'm 17) which I found hilarious since I have a baby face. The food was great, even though I was told by my dentist to stop eating sandwiches for my jaw, but it was totally worth it. The service was excellent and the staff were so kind even when I panicked since I left my wallet at home. (I ended up using Apple Pay) the overall feel of the place was great and really relaxing, I'm not sure what it is but it has a homey feel to it. Overall 10/10 read more

I never leave reviews but this was such a bad experience I had too. The bartender was very unattractive, she only cared about friends and regulars. On their site they said they do bears jersey raffles after each game but when we asked they said they are not doing them. We had to leave, and decided NOT to order food because it got to a point where it took over 30 minutes to get our ONE and ONLY round of drinks. I think its embarrassing when you have to go to the bar yourself to tab out, because your getting absolutely no service sitting in a booth. Did I mention that when I approached the bar to tab out, some drunk women at the end at the bar took my card to swipe it, because apparently the "bartender was busy". Im sorry, do you work here? This is the second location I have been to. The beer cheese soup was delicious! I highly recommend. I find there apps to be over priced $9-$13. I might as well just buy a meal. I split their root beer beef sandwich $13 with my mom. They put it on two plates for us precut which was very nice of them. Service was great! The tator tots were very crispy. A lot of people like them this way but I prefer them on the lightly fried side. There weekday happy hours and daily specials were pretty good. I will definitely come back for that! read more

We had our daughters first birthday party at tap house this past weekend in the party room. Everything was fantastic! Tabitha, the GM, was outstanding. Her customer service alone made the experience go smoothly, but you can also tell she genuinely cares. I gave Tabitha our budget and she helped me create a buffet that left all of our guests very happy. Nonstop compliments about the food and venue. Alyssa, our server, was amazing and very attentive. The Tap House Grill a nice neighborhood watering hole. It has an extensive beer menu which include 40 beers on draft, and a menu that is quite extensive as well. The variety was not lacklustered at all, but unfortunately it just didn't have much else outside the variety. The Tap House Grill was good, but it's just not a need to go venue. I ordered the stuffed burger because it was burger night, and it sounded fantastic. What's better than a regular burger? Usually a stuffed burger, but this time, it was not the case. The burger had too much going on that the flavors were just too much. The ingredients and flavors didn't really meld well together or compliment each other's taste. I wanted to like the burger, but there was just too much going on that the burger just got lost. They was an upside to this however. The 40 beers on draft saved the day. How can you get mad when you have a huge list of beers that gets updated on a regular basis? You really can't. Unfortunately, I came on the wrong day because the Mondays drafts were the special... I'll take that over the burgers. All in all, my experience at the Tap House Grill. Although I was not impressed with the food, the extensive beer on draft made up of it, and the ambience was very welcoming along with the staff. I have eaten here numerous times through the years and our first time here since 2020. I will not be back. Prices have skyrocketed! $17.49 for a burger, $3 59 for a soda and get this a 2% surcharge added to the bill for inflation. Tap House Grill is another place I want to love, I just don't. The food is fine. The drink selection is good. The Specials are usually great, but the service kinda stinks. It's typically slow and unenthusiastic. This is fine for me because I'll just tip less, but I'm sure the appropriate tip aggravates the servers, which allows them to continue to be slow, no fun and not happy to be at work. As for the menu, the apps are all decent. I do really enjoy the nachos by comparison to other bar type places. I don't eat burgers, but I hear they are good. The salads are all good too. As for the beers, there is a good selection and usually something is on special. Side note: we went for the family NYE 2015 a we probably won't do that again. It's such a shame, because the concept was awesome, but the execution needs work. This location has been in business six years, or is it eight, I think six, they just had an anniversary week, but some attention to detail is going to be needed to make it another six. Was here yesterday around lunchtime, for the first time since I was a kid. Unfortunately there was only one cook and they did tell us the kitchen is backed up. We decided to stay anyway. It took our food at least 45 minutes to an hour before it was done. Stressful that we had to wait that long, I wasn't nearly as hungry as when we arrived, by the time they brought us the food. I did speak with the server, he said the restaurant was changing managers and that they had accidentally messed up the schedule. Poor employees, they were running around busting their asses (yet remained polite and kind all the while). I ordered the tipsy stout burger. It was pretty good, a little sweet from the sauce. Boyfriend ordered the farm burger (has an egg),said it was really good and it looked really good. I give this place a thumbs up for having Sprecher root beer on tap, and tater tots as a swappable side for the standard fries. -Will be giving it 3 stars, until I come back for next (and hopefully better) experience. read more

Not a mil, but a plethora for any palette. We prefer to take a seat at the bar, we feel service is better. My personal fav is the Farmer Burger, but the tipsy burger is a common favorite from other friends. Hubby gets the blue cheese burger, always pleased. The side salad is a fresh choice as your side, and really good. All their salad dressings are homemade. Not bad for a bar joint, right? But... With that said.. The tots are the bomb. The owner is a classically trained chef who brought the family to the suburbs a few years ago, and put a definite culinary flair on his menu. Yes, you got your cheeseburgers, fries and the like, but where can you find freshly fried tater tots, and they even take those and make them into tater-totchos -yumm! The blue cheese mushroom flatbread is to die, along with a brilliant flatbread with apples, brie and homemade caramel sauce. Everything there is MADE THERE! Even the salad dressings. The other thing they do that is great is they offer different sides, like a salad instead of fries or tots, but a NICE salad. Hubby loves the wings, they are more like mini drumsticks. Very meaty and 5 different hotnesses (Is that a word??) Beer pairings are always mouthwatering too, they do those about once a month. Food was great, but service was very slow. My girlfriend, her nephew and I came here after mini-golfing down the street. I was looking for vegan options in the area and this menu had several, so I was happy. There menu itself is huge, so there is something for everyone. The fried avocado tacos sounded amazing, so we tried those, and a black bean burger. Other vegan options were were considering were the grilled veggie platter and veganizing the bruschetta and brussel sprouts. It's so nice to have many options. They also have a huge craft beer selection. We tried the Lost Coast Tangerine Wheat. I really liked it as I like citrusy and slightly sweet. The other awesome thing is that they have healthy options for kids meals! There is actually grilled chicken that comes with grapes and apples. They have the standard kid friendly items as well. The $7 meal also includes milk, juice or soda, and a scoop of ice cream. The bonus was that kids eat free from 4 to 9pm on Sundays. Unfortunately, we had to have the server adjust this on the bill as we were charged for it. Had a great meal here on Friday night before heading to Zanies Comedy Club. Our waitress was great and checked up on us just the right amount. The loaded "totchos" were superb as usual. I might have just been really hungry, but those totchos this time really hit the spot. All proportions of the toppings were perfect and it was served hot! We also had the cheese curds which tasted so good with an excellent crunch on the outside. Lastly, we split the bacon, blue cheese and mushroom burger which was great. We have wanted to try it for forever because we heard good things. Ordered blackened shrimp wrap and steak tacos. The shrimp wasn't seasoned at all. When I asked the waitress about it she said the seasoning was in the sauce. The sauce was caesar dressing. My husband's tacos were mediocre at best but he said his black beans and rice had zero seasoning. We also tried the brussel sprouts and they were mushy, no flavor, with a little parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. Waitress was a nice girl, my only reason for one star. Great, new exciting craft beers from interesting breweries. Now they've sold out to Miller Coors. The craft beer selection is awful. No decent IPA's outside those crappy ones packaged by the mega breweries. There are millions of better options for both food and beer. If you're looking for a great place for craft beer, skip this and head to The House Pub, Geneva Ale House, Spotted Fox, Riverside Pizza and Pub just to name a few. Update to my previously crappy review. No one here tonight but the bartender is still the slowest thing on two legs. He thinks he is the coolest guy around.
