Flagship in the Fox is a cool spot in St. Charles with a fun atmosphere, but the food itself is just okay. Nothing really stood out, pretty standard bar-style fare. The chicken tenders were fine, but nothing special. Overall, it feels more like a place people come to drink and grab salty, fatty food to soak up the alcohol rather than a destination for the food itself. That's not necessarily a bad thing, just sets the expectation. Good vibe, decent food, but I wouldn't come here specifically for the menu. read more

Update 7/21/24 Great nice outdoor area and I side with wall windows that open to give the feeling of being outside. We shared a Bacon Jam Burger with a side salad that was big enough to keep me satisfied until dinner time. Cocktails are weak for me, mostly watered down. We walked in and were told there were two tables outside that just needed to be cleaned and then we could have one of them. Well two hostesses go clean the tables, come back, give another couple one of the two tables and then after five minutes one of them leads me and my husband INSIDE (which we didn't want but of course midwestern politeness stopped us from saying anything) to a table that wasn't even cleaned yet. There was a stack of bills and dishes on the table. They cleaned it off while we sat down instead of taking us to the table we wanted, saw, and would prefer in the first place. It was stupid loud for no good reason. 1pm on a Sunday is not primo bar party time, or so I thought. I would write about the food but we're still waiting on it and are about to leave. No reason we should be waiting an hour in the loudest place on earth for a microwaved sandwich. read more

We made reservations for a Saturday night, and good thing we did because it was PACKED! Parking was tricky to find because all the lots were full!! The front area is an enclosed patio that has swings, slot machines, and other games. We were seated in the back corner, a little away from the crowds and noise. (It is EXTREMELY noisy!!!!!) TONS of tvs to watch any sports game! I got a southwest salad that was great proportions and tasty! And we also got cheese curds that were great! I would 100% recommend !! read more

4 stars for great big place with pockets of Al fresco (weather permitting) dining option, great tasting food, great value, and clean & good location! Their burgers and grilled cheese are so yummy and meaty! The burger was cooked perfectly and had the perfect bread to meat ratio. Their wings were also cooked to perfection! The real winner here are their fries! Mind blown! Their frying technique and seasoning for their fries deserve an award! All the food items were fairly priced. I feel like I haven't seen this great value in a long while. So your tummy hurts from eating too much, but, not your wallet Why not 5 stars? We came here at 2pm ish and the place was empty. I want to assume that we would have gotten better service since they weren't busy but our server was lacksy daisy. It's all good. My group was not high maintenance, just me. I just wished to have been checked on for our drinks and my much awaited bbq sauce. I would just hate to come here when they're busy, because I surely hate waiting! This is a solid place for a bite to eat and a drink. It's also a great place to watch sports because there are plenty of televisions. It's a large space and was pretty quiet on a Tuesday. I had one of their items on their February specials menu, the Salmon Southwest salad. My husband had the Buffalo Chicken wrap with fries. I enjoyed the salad. The salmon was tender with a glaze, so the salad did not need too much dressing. The dressing was a typical southwest dressing, but it was good. My husband enjoyed his wrap. I also had the strawberry basil lemonade mixed drink. It was a little sweet, but I squeezed the garnish wedge in it, and it was just right. The service was attentive, and we did not have to wait long for our food or drink refills. read more

Stop in for a drink This spot is slightly off the beaten path (64), next to Pollyanna Brewing, basically the same building. When you walk into Flagship, it's kind of an outdoor area with tables where you can sit and eat food. This is the area I like best. The food is pretty good and you can get all the drinks out there. It's heated in the winter, so you don't feel outside. It has these thick plastic windows that can be pulled up in the summer, so it feels more outside. The inside of the bar is my least favorite. Mainly because it always super crowded, long lines for drinks, the music is loud, and it's more of a dance floor. My recommendation is to get a table outside, and go inside when you want to dance. read more

Great place to go before a show at the Arcada. We came in after getting terrible service across 64 at a bar. We had an hour left until the show after wasting time at the crazy fox. I added avocado to the grilled cheese and it was so good. The side of tomato soup really takes this meal to the next level. The tomato soup is very creamy and fresh tasting. I got one of each - pulled pork, hamburger with cheddar and spicy chicken. These were the biggest sliders I've ever seen! I enjoyed them all, too, but not in one go. The food at flagship was fantastic. Surprisingly one of my favorite things may have have been the tomato soup. I would definitely recommend if you want to go out for a drink with friends and a place to start out the night! They have a barstool area with swings which is so fun. They also have a great price on drink buckets! The only issue I hav switch flagship is the staff was not very friendly. I felt that we had to constantly be looking for our server and when we switched to the bar section everyone made it seem like our group was a bother. read more

They have so many good things on the menu that it was so hard to choose - nachos, quesadillas, grilled cheese, mac and cheese, tacos, wraps, etc. We ordered some cheese curds for the table and then I ordered the mac and cheese grilled cheese as my meal. The cheese curds were alright but the sandwich was amazing! My cousin got the pulled pork grilled cheese and I tried some of his and that was spot on too. They offered mouth-watering burgers and so many options for sides. The salads and sandwiches are hearty in size and very tasty. The staff is always welcoming and friendly, and are never too far away in case you need them. The atmosphere is always cheery and a wonderful gathering place for friends and family. The Flagship always accommodates large groups on a dime. I had the Cobb salad, that was so fresh and had large portions. On certain nights, they will also have live music playing. We went for happy hour on a Friday night. It was packed at 5:00. Their happy hour specials are probably the best in town. The food was actually really good as were the drinks. I think the ambiance is lacking. It seemed a little dirty and worn out to me. I wouldn't go there for a date night dinner, but it's a fun happy hour spot or even a good place to bring kids because it's loud. ;) read more

Decided to stop in on a Sunday night. The place had so much seating! There is an outdoor area, and inside area, and bar area. All tables were spaced out. As my boyfriend and I were not that hungry, we split the Mac n cheese burger. It comes with a scoop of Mac n cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and pickle. It was delicious! We chose tots for our side and they were delicious. They have a great beer selection. I think at time of my visit they had 19 draft options as well as cans/bottles. My son and I are regulars at this point. The food is excellent and comes out fast. Waffle fries are the best in the city. We particularly like the nachos app which is more like a bunch of loaded personal quesadillas. (Great value for your buck) The wings are excellent. My son has ordered the entire menu and has liked everything. I personally like the sesame tuna salad. Upscale food at tavern prices. Throw in live music and sports on every TV and it's tough to beat. Visited last weekend for the first time. It seems like a pretty cool place. The service was terrible. Meals came out before our appetizer. We had to remind the server three times about the appetizer. Drinks came slowly as well. I had the pulled pork sandwich and it tasted okay. I've had better. The amount of pork was pathetically small. Just a small flattened dab in the middle of the bun. The dish should have come with slaw on the side, but it didn't. I was cool with it because I wasn't going to eat it anyway. But it's still not right. You shouldn't have to ask for a dish to have items that are included on the menu. The server paid for our appetizer and one round of drinks to make up for the slow service. It's not entirely the server's fault. They're obviously understaffed. The food is just meh. I can't see a reason to go back. There are plenty of other tried and true options. read more

We were pleasantly surprised to find a happy hour on a Friday that lasted until 6 p.m. The service was wonderful both the host and the server engaged in pleasant conversation and was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the happy hour prices for a glass of Proverb Pinot Noir and a Tito & cranberry cocktail. We also had a margarita on the rocks. The drinks were delicious and the atmosphere was lively, but not so lively that we could not hear or maintain a good discussion as we sat next to the bar.
