We visited St. Charles today for the scarecrow fest and were glad to have come across Flagship. My daughter has severe egg and dairy allergies and they were very accommodating and helped make us feel safe and comfortable. The rest of us enjoyed our food very much! I had their grilled cheese lunch special today and it was a spiritual experience. The man I spoke to on the phone was a saint, he answered all my questions quickly and kindly. The ambiance in the restaurant was stunning decked out with Christmas décor. The food was really the star of the show, It was as if the bread was the body of Christ himself and the cheese made from milk raining down from the heavens above. Flagship has a fun vibe and an awesome outdoor seating area. Our waitress was very friendly. We did get our food ordered in a timely manner and enjoyed being able to sit outside without a reservation. My fiancé and my mother got there food a short time later and mine never did come. I waited 10 to 15 minutes with no meal and flagged down a different waiter to let him know to cancel my four order. My guests were almost done eating. They took my meal off of the bill but it would have been nice to have a manager come over or even our waitress before everyone else had finished eating. read more

Ham and Swiss grilled cheese was cold and bread was hard, buffalo chicken wrap wasn't bad but the truffle fries were so hard and cold I could have broken the glass with them if I gave them a good throw?!? The vibe at Flagship is awesome. I really like it here. They are doing great things during Phase 4 here in IL. They have a ton of outdoor seating in the street and the garage door is open for that outdoor/indoor feel. The tables feel safely distanced and the workers seem to be following all the necessary protocols. As for the food, it's almost there, almost to the five star level. I've heard good things about the wings and the bloody marys, but today we had a wrap, kids meal and waters. The BBQ Chicken wrap was fine. It has a ton of potential, but needs some tweaking. The bbq sauce is runny, I prefer a thicker sauce with deeper flavor. It's like this one was watered down. The onion straws were on in a couple bites, those bites, and the ones with avocado, are way better. I would suggest a new sauce, ditching the cucumber and focus on the onion straws and adding some ranch to the bbq sauce. The side salad had a ton of tomatoes and cucumbers, I love that, but they could save some pennies and add less. Also, I tried the honey ginger dressing, it is a winner!!! I loved it, I would recommend that for sure. My son would recommend the chicken tenders. I'm not sure if they are the same ones as on the app part of the menu, but I tried a small bite and agree with him...They are super tasty and seasoned really well. I wish there were other fruit options for the kids, but the oranges are fine, canned mandarin. Lots of potential but was really disappointed with our lunch. My grilled cheese was just massive bread, not even browned, with some waxy warmed cheese. Menu said it should have had multiple kinds but it was just straight warmed cheddar. Not even melted. My son got a quesadilla which was made similarly. Was not browned and had just one kind of cheese that was warmed up. The environment was nice and offered opportunities for the kids to play while the adults ate. read more

We have been here dozens of times and every time has been great. The food is fantastic and the beer selection is top-notch! Service is hit-or-miss depending on the day. So far I can attest to: Cheese Curds - delicious and crispy, not too greasy. Love the sauce they come with. Nachos - these are those types of nachos that are individually made with a later of beans/cheese/etc per chip. They are not skimpy with the guac. Quesadilla - great but standard. Wings - we like the parmesan garlic sauce. Tenders - awesome, get them with the parmesan garlic sauce as stated above. Be careful because these always come out ripping hot and hold their heat for a while. Fried mushrooms - great flavor and light breading. Sriracha Hot Chicken Sandwich - absolutely brilliant flavor but not hot enough for me! If you're a spice wuss (as my hubs calls himself), it would likely be right up your alley. GET THE TOTS!!! Seriously love this place! Maybe we'll go for Happy Hour today ($5 select apps and drinks on special). read more

Had the Hot Siracha Chicken Sandwich but I would not consider it hot (spicy) as it was mild at best. So I am a bartender and I came into this place at 1230 on a Friday night techno music blasting down the street. Bar was fairly empty I sat at the bar and waited 2 bartenders were dancing on each other and then ran off. I sat and waited. No one acknowledged me or said anything. About 20 minutes go by 1 of them was entering in her tips and kept her back turned the entire time the other one was only acknowledging the couple of guys there. I asked the bar back finally can I get a bartender he went to the brunette she walked around went up to a guy and ignored me. He saw this then went to the blonde entering her tips and she looked over at me and just continued on entering her tips. Somehow a third bartender appeared and walked over. I asked her to grab the manager, he came over and smelled of liquor on his breathe and said sorry it's just a dead night and they are trying to get their closing duties done. They close at 2. He offered to get my drink on him. The 3rd bartender came over and apologized and brought the drinks we got. She was very nice and apologetic. When she walked away the blonde one came by and said "what do you actually think just happened that didn't. " she smelled like liqour it was hard to hear her from the music blasting. She said the bar back didn't speak English as well which was surprising since he understood me just fine. The blonde bartender was unbelievably confrontational when she wasn't even doing her job. I used to come into this place every couple months and haven't been there in a long time. Idk what happened to this place but this was the worst experience I've had at a bar. No remedy or accountability just attitude for not doing what ur there to do. I left and went to pour house up the street and had a great time after. Flagship on the Fox is an enjoyable restaurant/bar that features a great beer selection and a menu that has a little bit of everything. We had dinner with friends here and left feeling like we had a good time. We sat in/on the "patio" area (completely covered from the elements) and the vibe was low-key. There are plenty of TVs around and I couldn't help but imagine that it'd be a great place to catch a game. The astroturf flooring adds a bit of fun as well. To be honest, it took us a minute or two to decide what we all wanted to drink (the beer menu has a good selection!) and eat (the menu makes it a tough choice). However, our server was more than accommodating and took pleasure in answering any questions we had. There were no particular mishaps or delays and our server did a fine job. Compliments to the chefs, too, as the food was hot and tasty. While we don't get to St. Charles as often as we'd like I'll keep this place in mind for the future. However, I'll probably explore other places prior to returning as nothing completely blew me aways here. read more

Amazing experience for what was supposed to be a quick in and out lunch but the staff and food kept us longer then we intended. Regan was so sweet, kind and knowledgeable. Awesome service. The food was Phenomenal we were all highly impressed. Wings, burger, chicken sandwich, chop salad and the star of the show was the Parmesan crusted NY strip. The steak was over the top Amazing. We felt like we were at a high end steak house- cooked to perfection with perfectly grilled asparagus. The entire environment to the experience to the high quality food made a fun enjoyable experience. The Chef was kind enough to take time to answer our questions even though they were super busy. Overall. I'm a fan. We visited on a Tuesday night around 8:30pm. We were seated as soon as we walked in. We were greeted immediately by our waitress. She was very nice, very fast, and always made sure we were taken care of. We started off with a couple of cocktails. They had a good selection of Bourbon. For an app we had the cheese curds. WOW. Some of the best cheese curds that I have had. The dipping sauce that was also served with them was fantastic. I would highly recommend trying them. For an entry, I had a cheeseburger. It was delicious. It was a very tasty cheese burger. I've thought about going back for that cheese burger every night since. The bar had some pretty loud and obnoxious people at it. Also, the management should have some sort it dress code for the wait staff. This is a great place to get together with friends for good food and fun time! You really feel like your are downtown Chicago with this eclectic style. They have a turf lined room with large windows that open up to the outside. There are fun games, tons of tvs and even swings in this area. Then the back is a traditional sports bar with bar and table top seating. On top of that in the summer they have great outdoor seating with umbrellas for some shade. On top of that, I really enjoy their food! They have reasonable prices and a wide selection of traditional American foods to choose from. Highly recommend to anyone in the area. read more

My son , daughter-in-law and my granddaughter came in from out of town . Me and my husband brought them they'r for dinner . Nothing spectacular on the food . Great local place, friendly staff and nice selection of brews and ales. Today my wife and I split the pretzel with cheese sauce and got the marinara sauce as well. Fresh, hot pretzel done perfect, tender with loads of flavor. We each got the Buffalo Chicken wrap. Nice blend of flavors and loaded with chicken. Fries were nice and crispy but tender inside. Our server with the most beautiful Irish accent was spot on without being overwhelming. Atmosphere is cool, the old St. Charles brick interior and lots of space for any sized gathering. Love the location and vibes of Flagship on the Fox. They've added an outdoor space due to Covid-19 in addition to having an indoor patio area- and I've been using those 2 spaces for safer eating. They have numerous delicious cocktails at this location- I typically try something different each time I visit. They also have lots of delicious and comforting foods on the menu. I've had several items that were quite tasty- a burger, grilled cheese, chicken strips, etc. I would describe this restaurant as slightly high end bar food. I'll continue to frequent this location- though I tend to avoid it on weekend evenings because it is packed! read more

We got the cheese curds, 7/10 lacking so cheese okay flavor, the chipotle ranch severed with it had a kick but was the best part. Small portion though. Sriracha chicken sandwich was a 9/10 good size and flavor. Mac and cheese was decent very cheesy flavor about a 7/10. Flagship burger was also a good size 8/10 for flavor. Fries were also decent 7/10. Grilled chicken sandwich also had a lot of flavor and decent size 8/10. Tater tots were crispy and delicious 9/10. Fish tacos - 3 tacos w/ chips and salsa - the heat with the creama jalapeño was on fire! It took over the flavor of everything else. I can handle heat. But I had to stop after my second taco.
