It's as simple and easy going if a place as it gets. No food just popcorn, no extensive wine or bourbon list. Many different beers, all the normal mixed drinks, couple of chilled bottles for shots and a jukebox. Well the modern version of a jukebox where you can pay and pick songs from your phone while playing slots. That's right pool table, darts, and 6 slot machines. Clean simple place to hang out with friends or make some friends while you're there. Reasonable prices with different drink specials everyday. Into sports? Well they have plenty of big screen TV's and if there's a game on worth watching it will be on the screen. Just a nice place that you can go to regularly and relax with friends.

We, however, felt slightly... peripheral. Maybe it was our age. Maybe we didn't look like we just finished a shift. Either way, the welcome factor was on the lighter side. He always entertains and you will be so impressed with his amazing showmanship. He should have his own TV show, he is the definition of entertainment. The crowd/atmosphere is really what sells this place. I always walk away from Bracht's just a little more enlightened. People here might not be changing the world, but they are making it a little more fun & entertaining. The drinks are top notch, poured to absolute perfection, you know when you walk into Bracht's you have a bartender that cares. Their food is to die for, their late night pizza is just a little taste of heaven. All in all, if you walk into Bracht's on a Friday night, come Saturday morning you will feel like a king! Mostly people want to get wasted while they watch it. The food isn't that bad either just the basic stuff. Bigger than it looks after going in. It's got a bar area in the middle and plenty of tables for groups or parties. There's also a few pool tables. A few menus around here listing all the daily specials and everything. It's about $7 for a basic mixer. Whiskey and whatever. Food menu is pretty meaty so we had limited choices. Thankfully they actually have something. It's about $11 for the Beyond Burger. This was okay but could have had more choices of toppings. For sure we could watch a game here. It's pretty lame looking from the outside so ignore the looks. Ah, good old Cub and Spanks…read more.. Now I've only been coming here for the past couple of months, but they fulfill a couple of requirements I require in a bar. 1) cheap drinks. And I don't mean this place is the kind of establishment that serves drinks in red solo cups, they serve them in regular plastic tumbler cups, and they're not bottom shelf garbage liquids either. A Jameson and Ginger ale will set you back a whopping $4. I feel like I'm stealing from the bar when I drink here! This is a good thing. 2) conversational level of crowd noise. This place has never been so loud that I couldn't hear the person I was sitting with, granted, we haven't come here on a Friday or Saturday night, so consider that the asterisk. I prefer a place where u don't need a bullhorn to talk to someone 3 feet away. 3) shuffleboard table. This place will always have a special place in my heart since I popped my shuffleboard cherry here on September 30th after closing out Charter Fitness. However, they've since replaced the old board with a new-fangled board with the prison bars that come up in the middle to avoid free plays, and the table is but crooked. Not that I'm a cheapskate and try to play for free, but the sand gets stuck in the holes so when you start a game, you have to manually push the bars in in order to allow your pucks to slide freely from end to end. I know, I know, #firstworldproblems 3) jukebox. Since the beginning if time, man has attempted to push forth their culture on those around them, and this is the perfect way to do it. You can even control the jukebox from your phone! Well, your smartphone at least. I don't think your Motorola StarTAC is going to help you out here, nor will your Nokia 8200. 4) regulars. You will see the same people day in day out here, whatever day of the week. They may or may not remember that you had a conversation about whatever you had a conversation about, but they're friendly. Or you can chalk it up to this place being a townie bar, but I won't call it that. Come to Cubbies, sidle up to the bar, and maybe drop a buck on a game of shuffleboard or two. If I'm there, say hello and challenge me to a game. I might show you a thing or two. Or not. I've only been playing for a couple if months...
