Simply put, this bar is by far and away the best bar I've ever entered. 8 ball the karaoke king, is literally a walking legend, people come from all over just to see his magic. He always entertains and you will be so impressed with his amazing showmanship. He should have his own TV show, he is the definition of entertainment. The crowd/atmosphere is really what sells this place. I always walk away from Bracht's just a little more enlightened. People here might not be changing the world, but they are making it a little more fun & entertaining. The drinks are top notch, poured to absolute perfection, you know when you walk into Bracht's you have a bartender that cares. Their food is to die for, their late night pizza is just a little taste of heaven. All in all, if you walk into Bracht's on a Friday night, come Saturday morning you will feel like a king! Highly Recommended! read more

Checked out this longtime favorite sports bar in Bartlett. It may not look like much from outside. Bracht's Place has enough room for crowds when there's a game or another event. Mostly people want to get wasted while they watch it. The food isn't that bad either just the basic stuff. Bigger than it looks after going in. It's got a bar area in the middle and plenty of tables for groups or parties. There's also a few pool tables. A few menus around here listing all the daily specials and everything. It's about $7 for a basic mixer. Whiskey and whatever. Food menu is pretty meaty so we had limited choices. Thankfully they actually have something. It's about $11 for the Beyond Burger. This was okay but could have had more choices of toppings. For sure we could watch a game here. It's pretty lame looking from the outside so ignore the looks. This is located on Prospect at Wilmington. read more

As a Bartlett native, love what the new owners have done to the place! They finally got food, which is really good, and the staff is always great. Keep up the great work. Thanks again!! read more

Wow. Yelp took down my well deserved only 1 star review to this place. They don't deserve your business! They disrespect people they don't like. If I say more it will be taken down which is very shocking & shows me I can't trust Yelp to have honest reviews. Note to self. read more

First This service sucks the staff is drunk! Old lady with glasses she doesn't know how to check IDs is she drunk? She acts like she can't read an ID correctly read more

A pretty good old school bar with a bar in the middle and is between two sections of the building. This establishment looks like a fun place to hang out and if your local this is a place to go and drink and watch television read more

Wille rocks... owner and staff are awesome... dealing with drunks that are being ridiculous in demands and expectations.... They give great service to everyone and when you're being an ass .... New female bartender, kept saying Retarded like constantly to customers. She said to my friend "you're retarded" numerous times. She also visibly drinks on the job. Won't be back here again as long as she's working here. Very disappointed read more

Don M. Hi people who want to go to Bracht's Place. In the beginning everything was cool. Their bartender Willie developed a disliking of me even though I always give a nice tip. I don't get drunk and drink only 3 light beers and leave. I wrote a book that is at the publisher's right now. I do not talk to woman with romance in mind. I do talk to people to promote my book. I have never groped any woman as I have been accused of doing. There was a recent time where a woman gave me a kiss and put her pant covered legs on my lap and I rubbed them. Next, I asked her if she had kids and she started crying. Willie the bartender told her she can't cry in the bar, or he will ask her to leave. The next day the manager said I was banned, and they have me on tape. Yes, I did rub that woman's leg, but I didn't do anything inappropriate. So, if you go to this place beware, they may have you on tape. By the way I'm 80 years old. read more

Russ the bartender was very rude, eluding to homophobic ways! I am extremely disappointed and will not be recommending this place to anyone.

It used to be a fun place where we could go out to and hang with our friends. The daytime bartenders, Chris, Kathy, and Ross, were awesome. I used to think and feel it was safe here. The crowd has changed. The weekend bartender ran the old crowd out, including us. No one likes to go there because of him. On nights like 4th of July Feast and Tutkey raffel everyone use to pile in but no wants wants to deal with him. He is crabby. That's the nicest thing I can say right now. The crowd seems different. It's gone downhill since the owner died and his wife is about to. Back in the day, it was awesome. I think when EIGHTBALL died, the bar died too. I will say this was under the old owner, not the new owner. read more

If you like the kind of bar where someone grabs a beer out of your hand and dumps it down the sink even though you're a 20% tipper- This is the place for you! If you like to be harassed by fellow bar goers for both smoking a cigarette AND drinking a beer at the same time- this is the place for you! If you like to be treated like shit even though you spend good money and tip your bartender- this is the place for you! I will never go there again. Just a lot of ASSHOLES! read more

Been coming here for 20 plus years. Comfortable neighborhood bar that bans problem people. If you leave a bad review and complain about being banned then you are the problem. People that harass women or other patrons are soon asked to leave and not come back. Glad to be a part of such a great place. read more

Truly the World's End in Bartlett! It's where everyone goes, after every place else closes! They are open, and open late, every single day of the year, rain, snow, or shine! Willy, Erin, Steph, (and even sometimes) Ross are the best! No better place to grab that late night drink, the night doesn't have to be over! read more

*****~YAY! Bracht's!~***** This place is always fun! For a hole-in-the-wall bar it is pretty clean. They just recently re-did the whole place. They knocked down the wall between the bar and the pool table area and made it into one big circle bar and they put the pool tables in the front area where 8 Ball use to have his Karaoke table. They even made 8 Ball his very own stage where the American Idol's can stand and "sing" to the bar! They even splurged on Flat Screen TV's..haha! As for the woman's bathroom, brace yourself girls...there are now 2 stalls! It use to be just a 1 person bathroom with a constantly plugged toliet and no toliet paper! Not anymore!! :)~ So if your looking for a good ol' fashion, dive bar that is close to home and cheap! Visit Bracht's! read more

It is INSANE that I never knew this place existed. I don't think it's any secret that I've been known to be a bit of a late night rabble rouser...and this place is open til four a.m!! That is a rarity in this area. From what I can recall (this was not my first stop of the evening)... drinks are strong cups are plastic actual bar is huuuge people are kinda dicey...but who isn't after drinking this late into the night pretty sure some type of scuffle was ensuing outside when we left there's a smoking area out back questionable behavior goes unnoticed bathrooms smelled atrocious (was laaate on a Saturday night) pool tables Overall, this place is not a spot for specialty cocktails so don't expect to come here and be fancy. read more

Friendly atmosphere. Reasonably priced drinks and food. I recommend the chicken tenders. Love karaoke night. Plenty of parking.

Bars a-little bit ratchet but for the most part its not a bad hang out spot for late nights. U meet a-lot of interesting people here too so its good to see that its welcoming of all kinda. Ross the bartender is cool too read more

I have a love/hate with Bracht's Love that its 100 feet from my doorstep, hate that it's a dump. Convenience over aesthetics usually wins out though--after all, it's a bar. Sports on TV, cold beer in glass. Done and done. read more

I would call this place a dive bar, but not in a bad way. It's kinda grimy which is why I removed a star, but other than that it's a great atmosphere. Everyone who works there is so nice and welcoming. They make you feel like family even its your first time being there. And if you get hungry, they're pizza is soooo good. Seriously, I don't know how they do it, but it's so dang good. read more

Before writing this review I read Lauri's personal review and it honestly couldn't be any further from the truth!! Ross is a great bartender and a genuine guy. It's laughable that someone would say he judges people based on sexuality. I go in there all the time with my gay best friend and we've never been treated any different! With that being said, I'd also like to compliment the other bartenders there! Erin Kathy Tiffany Rachel Chris Willy you guys are awesome!! read more

Love the staff! Reasonably priced. Everyone is always welcoming. Couldn't find a better home town tavern.

Ok I never write reviews let me first start by saying I've been coming to this bar for years now, it's your local, "homey" dive bar. Under my review you will see comments that are not true. I was present for the first mishap between the bartender Ross, and a customer about two years ago and was actually unfortunately present for this one tonight. Ross is a personal friend of mine, and I can first handedly say Ross is not homophobic, Ross was not even working this evening while this took place. Instead this customer went off on a VERY sweet bartender, Kathy, Kathy asked her to politely leave because she was not welcome and the customer CALLED and threatened Kathy some more. Don't listen to the false reviews, if you don't mind being asked for your credit/debit card to be held for a tab, (which is pretty standard anywhere lol) you'll be okay. this bar is nice if you like local hole in the wall bars. Prices are reasonable, beers and shots are cold, bartenders are cool. read more

Cheap drinks, 8 ball is the 70 year old DJ with a great sense of humor. Needless to say glad i checked it out and well worth visiting. If you want a good time for cheap def check this place out read more

This place is alright. Good hole-in-the-wall bar, business is ran well. Drink prices seem to be ok and karaoke nights are always a treat for everyone. Newly installed slot machines are interesting. Men's bathroom is smaller than a janitor's closet, with one toilet and one urinal...awkwardly facing each other. Lately there have been pool sharks hogging up the table, only allowing you to play if you want to bet money and play against them, EXTREMELY annoying. read more

This place is pretty solid for a hole-in-the-wall. Drinks are decently priced and the karaoke is entertaining. The regular DJ, 8-ball definitely sucks but you gotta give him a little credit for sticking around for the last 100 years or so. He's a nice guy, and it's good to still see him around though. I'd bump it to 5 stars but the men's bathroom is horrendous. It reeks of pure piss to the point that it stings the nostrils. read more

Love this place and Ross the bartender is an amazing bartender. Don't listen to the bad reviews. This place is friendly to everyone and anyone. The bad reviews probably come from someone who got cut off or wanted to stay after last call. It's a late night spot with caring staff who will take care of you. read more

My bf & I went here for karaoke around Feb. It was freezing inside, yet steamy hot in the bathroom. The place looks like it has been there for quite awhile & is nothing special. It didn't appear to be a popular dive, as it was pretty dead even after we arrived around 10pm & finished a pitcher. The karaoke selection was OK, but the sound setup wasn't that good. It was better than some of the tin cans I've heard, but just a blah sound. I don't remember the drink prices being good nor bad. We knew the bartender from a previous dive we used to frequent, & we felt bad when we left after an hour or so, but it was just so blah. Maybe it's a good place for karaoke if you bring a bunch of your friends up there, but it's not a good place for karaoke in general. *Yawns* read more

I've been a regular here for 2+ years (I live right behind it). When I 1st moved to Bartlett I didn't go to Bracht's for 6 months bc I thought I what a dump. Sure it's a dive, but the regulars are all very good people and the bartenders yet older are very friendly. It's like Cheers. It's open til 4a on Friday & Saturday (karoake too) . After 2a can get a lil crowded on Friday & Saturday, but we welcome it. The more the merrier. I'm moving to Elgin in 2 days & I'm honestly gonna miss Bracht's & the people. Also SUCKS! read more

Great place for a nice drink and karaoke. Nothing fancy ,but nice crowd and owners.

Its a dive bar in a strip mall that open til 4. You cant beat the price and the drinks are strong. You will meet some characters here late night. The bartenders were cool and service was fast. Lots of regulars here as well read more

Nice people in there. Very cheap drinks. Open until 4am on weekends. Dark setting. I would probably call this a "dive bar" but not in a bad way in this instance. Not a fan of listening to karaoke, though - and they do it a lot. But the people love it and the DJ who runs it. I like Bracht's. read more

Lady didn't take my id. I guess they don't like foreigners in the bar. All good went down the street and gave them all my money instead

My review is more on Ross the bartender than the actual bar. The bar is your typical dive bar with cheap beer and regular clientele. Went there Wednesday night to meet a friend. Ross asked what I was drinking and I told him. After that he never asked me if I wanted another drink. He just assumed and gave me another drink every time my glass was empty. Well, that's all fine and dandy till I hit my limit. When I did (about 8 drinks later) I told him I didn't order that drink. I've never seen a bartender melt down the way that he did. I asked his co worker (Bobby I think his name was) to check my tab to make sure I wasn't charged for it. Bobby said I wasn't and I believed him. As my friend and I were leaving, a rush of youngsters flooded the bar around midnight. Again, Ross had a melt down and folded like a lawn chair to the stress. His co worker just shook his head and I got the impression from him that this is a reoccurring thing with Ross. Ross is a nice enough guy, but probably not in the right field of work ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. read more
