They do not have a host, so customers basically just go up to the patio and sit wherever they want, which is nice only if the restaurant can handle that. No one was cleaning the tables after customers left. I watched about 4 groups of people sit down at dirty tables, and they sat there for like 15-20 minutes with no acknowledgement and no one coming to clean the dirty tables from the previous customers. They had to get up and ask someone themselves for the table to be cleaned. There were maybe 2 or 3 waiters and maybe 2 or 3 food runners, and it still seemed like they were all overwhelmed. I don't think it should have been as complicated. Not sure who even was our waiter because they kept switching. One runner kept bringing food and drinks to wrong tables, and claimed she was confused because they changed up the patio seating so maybe that had something to do with it.

We were greeted by the Chef Chopra outside, who welcomed us and asked us to choose the seat that suited us best in or outdoors. We chose a seat outside as it seemed most guests were enjoying the nice weather in the garden. Chef Chopra introduced himself and explained the complimentary montadito, and presented the current specials. We loved that he took time to ask what brought us in, and when we said that we were building a new home in Bartlett only minutes away, he shared that although he has been all over the world he always misses good old Bartlett, IL. This is the kind of connection and service you won't find at franchise restaurants! We enjoyed cocktails, myself a dirty tini with bleu cheese stuffed olives, and my husband the traditional old fashioned and the P'tit old fashioned - both of which he enjoyed. We ordered the hummus for an appetizer - my husband never orders humus. Not a drop was left. It was so flavorful, and since I am intolerant to gluten we loved that it was served with cucumber "chips". We will definitely order this again! Our entrees were both specials - mine the steak and shrimp tower and my husband's the Birria. We could t decide whose was better. The shrimp and steak were so flavorful and beautifully cooked, and the beef and consommé of my husband's was out of this world. My takeaways from Le P'tit: We will be there - regularly, before we move into our home, and after! Have a cocktail, they are fabulous. Talk to Chef Chopra any chance you get. He has seen the world and loves to see his guests enjoying his menu and the atmosphere of his establishment. This is what supporting local is about! Enjoy your time at Le P'tit. Savor. I live in the area and I would expect this kinda of behavior from the city but not from a suburban bar. C'mon on now, We were in search of a local bar that we could have a good time at. Honestly, I did not see anyone else in that bar tipping the bartenders. The bar staff is great, just be careful with the locals.

But we ended up going out back to their beer garden. It wasn't busy when we were there (weekday evening) so we were able to enjoy a nice and chill atmosphere. The drinks are relatively cheap and the staff was friendly to us the whole time - what more could you ask for from a dive bar?! While I can't say that it is like this all the time (I honestly wonder what Friday & Saturday nights are like...) I can say that we enjoyed ourselves. In the future I don't think I'll be rushing back here, but this was by no means my only visit to Prairie Station Pub.

We had to ask him to take off the charge. The take-out is easy and quick. They also offer their slushees (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to-go which is cool. Their pizza is Detroit style and is decent. If you don't like burnt crust edges and less sauce than cheese, you probably won't like this style of pizza. I do wish the crust was a bit thicker. I tried some of the bourbon peach tea slushee and it was refreshing! If I go there to dine-in again, I'll get one. They have 50% off pizzas on Monday so I'd like to come back for that deal.

They share a front outdoor patio and the interior is subtly divided yet connected. The atmosphere does come across as casual to match the fast casual style of Atlas Chicken. The Squares Pizza Pub side has a large bar, some back booths, and a good amount of tables. The menu has a variety of appetizers, salads, and pizzas. The pizzas come in two sizes: small (4 slices) or large (8 slices). We ended up ordering a small Sausage & Fennel Pie & Pepperoni Hot Honey Pie. I loved the flavor of the Pepperoni Hot Honey with sweet ricotta and honey that pooled in the pepperoni cups. The crust was crispy yet the center tasty doughy which is true Detroit style. Their pies have a sweeter sauce which I enjoyed as well. It was great to visit when pies were 1/2 off so we could try two flavors. Most specialty pies are $18 for a small and $32 for a large. The owner stopped by our table to see how we liked the pizza and talk about the inspiration behind Squares. This is a great addition to the Bartlett area and I'm so happy I was able to try them out!
