Perfect way to end the night is with good food. Got the chicken burger, hot honey calabrese pizza, and some tots and they all perfectly hit the spot. Location is a bit hidden and hard to find when Cactus is so obviously beside it.

We visited Tap and Barrel Convention centre again to watch England vs Mexico. It was very exciting match and huge crowd of Mexican supporter gathered at Jack pool plaza. I liked the lively world cup vibe. We had a few beer and Hummus & Za'atar Fladbread - hummus, chermoula, feta, harissa, crispy chickpeas, parsley, baked to order za'atar flatbread Korean Fried Chicken Sliders - gochujang-glazed fried chicken, kimchi pickles, chili lime slaw, kewpie mayo, brioche slider buns I did not have Korean chicken sliders, I was told they were very spicy, and delicious. I always love their Zaatar flatbread. Flatbread was very soft and chewy inside and crispy outside. Zaatar was very very rich, creamy and so delicious as usual. Lime Parfait - Lime custard, cookie crumb on the bottom, topped with whipped cream. It was very sweet side, It was just ok. We enjoyed watching game and shared appetizers for dinner. The restaurant was packed, energetic supporters outside of restaurant, it was a lot of fun to have a dinner here.

We waited a while for the barrel room. This is for their larger parties. The view was spectacular. We made it early enough for happy hour. Our server George made sure to get our order sent in time. The hand made pizza was good. The maple bacon wings were good just small. I had the PB&J burger which was tasty. The peanut butter was subtle and not over done. The beer selections were very good.

Went for their half price bottle tuesday after work. Nice busy location. the patio definitely is a great addition to the ambiance we ordered a couple of their happy hour items. Tater tots and fresh guac and chips Both were decent. the tater tots could have been fried a bit more to make them crispier. the chips were great but the guac was a bit to the watery side overall, nice view and good place for an after work drink

After running the half marathon this week, I decided to stop by after the race to have some beers and consume calories. There was a great selection of beers to choose from and the food itself was so delicious. The portion sizes were also very decently sized. Despite how busy it was due to the race, service was unbelievably fast and super friendly. The views of the water and mountains were unbelievable and vibes were immaculate. Would absolutely recommend and come back.

The servers were great. The view was great. The front room I guess you would call it. The one that looks right out to the harbor and the ferry docks, Loud. There was a very large group in there not being epically boisterous by any means. That room just echos from all the hard surfaces of the industrial Cozy aesthetic. I found it odd that when we walked up they asked for our name and number like there would be a wait and then were immediately taken to the table. I had the PB&J burger. It was good. But I don't think it justified the $24 price. The poutine was very good. I would go back just for that.

TAP TIPS the EATERS CHOICE I finished my downtown meetings and it was within the Happy Hours .(HH) I went by the Pinnacle and saw a HH sign 3-6 pm but no details ? , so kept walking to Jack Poole plaza : The Cactus Club ( CC) and Tap n Barrel (TnB) .CC had a line up and I asked if we cud make it for HH , she said unlikely . It was 4:45 pm and HH ends at 5pm .. I moved on to TnB and there was a line up but none at the bar .. so I went to the bar found my friends there , right in front of 4 screens of the Habs Canes game and a NBA game ... wow a sports fan dream . It was 4:50 pm and their HH ends at 5:30pm ... we placed our order for the Tots with garlic mayo and the wild mushroom pizza ( not that Wild like the NHL Minnesota team) and had HH drafts and highballs . It tasted so so good but even better as we saw the Habs Score 4x ... The service was attentive and had personality as being at the bar found, we saw the professionalism of the bar staff of processing orders within 2 feet of us . ... mixing drinks , pouring from the tap, taking food orders , interacting with the other bar staff and all the time asking us how we are doing ... true teamwork at its best ..... It's a treat to Tap the barrel ( not a treatment like the Tin Dai Fung ) of good times more fun than a barrel of monkeys as Carney n Eby were up the street imitating a chimpanzee and an orangutan .. oooo ah ah ah .

Pepperoni pizza--good but flimsy crust so be careful when eating!

Date of visit: July 21, 2025 This place is massive! There are two different indoor sections and then a large outdoor patio as well. We were seated in the Barrel Room, which was a more intimate space that was plenty comfortable for our table of four and was right off the main walkway, making it easy to enter and exit. Food was great; my Double Pepperoni pizza was truly featuring twice the pepperoni that I would have expected on a pizza this size. The pizza is generously-portioned so you certainly could share this pizza with a friend and not come away disappointed. Just a couple of tweaks on service: Samantha was incredibly friendly and personable, but there were some large gaps in service over the course of the meal, though she was wonderful when she was present. Also, we joined a line for those with reservations, only to be directed to a second line, but then were finally seated.

The food was outstanding! We ate dinner here twice while in Vancouver. Our Servers were also outstanding. Can't beat the view, right on the water. So beautiful, so fun. We watched game 7 of the world series and the energy was off the charts! Blood orange shandy is so tasty. Best pizza outside of Italy!

Went at lunch time. Not too busy. Service was friendly and attentive. The drinks tasted great , ordered Mac and cheese and fish and chips. The fish and chips was a little salty to my liking but otherwise as expected. Margarita pizza was perfect. Pink lemonade slushie was really good , just the right amount of sweetness.

Convention food is usually pretty bad but next to the Vancouver Convention Center I had a very tasty chili prawn and Chardonnay lunch. It was cloudy but I still enjoyed the views of the mountains, water and sea planes. Service was on point as well.

I got the macaroni and cheese with fried chicken

I went to the restaurant on a Wednesday night during the world cup (it was very busy) and I waited less than 20 minutes for the two of us to get a table. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was fun. We got to watch the world cup and cheer with everyone. It's in the waterfront which was beautiful. Staff was very kind and it was a good experience.

First things first, this view! Whoa. If you're nearby, either for a conference or because you're boarding a cruise ship like we were, Tap & Barrel is a great spot for dinner and sight seeing. We added our name to the list and were given a time estimate. It's always nice to be called sooner than you expect - and right on the harbor, there was so much to see: people, planes, ships, and helicopter watching. So cool. Tap & Barrel has a gorgeous inside space that I spied briefly when using their rest rooms. We choose to sit outdoors and scored a table on the railing of the coastal harbor. Wow. Such a gorgeous way to end a day of travel. Yes, we ordered clam chowder. We shared some fried pickles, mac and cheese and cocktails from their Happy Hour menu. I adore mac and cheese, but this one needed more seasoning - maybe salt. That aside, the drinks were great, the chowder was fresh and we ate all the pickles too. Our waiter was fantastic, checking on us just enough to never let our water, tea or cocktails run dry. He didn't rush us, even though we did have prime seating and was happy to watch us from afar and check in as needed. I'd love to return and order more dinner or even lunch entrees. I'm not sure I could ever sit inside though with the amaze ball views of the harbor and all of it's goings on right there!

Had a few hours to kill before the Bruno Mars concert and I decided to check out this gem out in Vancouver. Im so glad I decided to get out of my comfort zone and opted to enjoy the chowder in the sourdough bread bowl. First time ive ever had a soup this way, the lid of the bread bowl was so fluffy and it was a great addition to dip into the soup to enjoy. I also needed a bit of a healthy balance so I tried the apple sesame coleslaw and yum it hit the spot. A really good generous amount for an appetizer to add to the side. I am definitely going to go back to try more items next time. I went at a good time, no lineup didnt have to wait and service was pretty fantastic. Food was ready pretty speedy too and noise level was quiet and peaceful. Super easy to find free parking and prices are pretty reasonable. If you love chowder id definitely recommend you to check this gem out if you haven't already. Sometimes im late on trends.

The star of the show, surprisingly, was the coleslaw and the fries. Service was friendly and they checked on you often, filled your water. Atmosphere wasn't the most enjoyable as you can't really hear your table talk because the staff are having TOO good of a time working and laughing. While I think it's great to have a workplace where employees enjoy where they work, it didn't make a nice dining experience for us. Overall, Jack's is just mid level fish and chips... but I don't think I'll be back. Followed your story on IG for a while so I wish you all the best.

Walking into a rustic and cozy eatery while a friendly smile from a far welcomes us with every step handing us a menu and seating us in the cutest little booth right by the window overlooking charming Burrard street. I fell in love with the menu right away because it has all my favourite comfort foods. Take a look at the menu....you'll see.... We got the Soup & Salad combo (Mushroom Medley and FAB salad). .........The soup was everything a Mushroom Medley should be. Perfect proportions, spectacular seasoning and spot on temperature. (Yes, I've been served luke-warm soup before. It was not pretty.) The FAB salad. It was well....Fab. Every single ingredient was fresh. Every single one, and topped with red onion. Not adding red onion into a salad is like.....not adding basil to your pasta sauce. They got every detail covered. The Sandwich & Salad (Tasty Chicken Sandwich with FAB salad.) ...........The Chicken Sandwich was the best I've ever had. Just try it. You'll see. The FAB salad....well...we already covered that cutie. The service was warm, friendly, attentive and professional. With this place, aside from their kickass food, what really impressed me was their attention and care to detail. To the point where, when I asked for ice water....the glass was spotless, the water filled not too full and not lacking topped with a Fresh Cut Lemon Wedge. Obviously you have the tasty food, Quality service, and Clean Establishment that render a restaurant as great, but in my book, it's the little things that hoist it up to Excellent. And that is exactly what this place was. Excellent.
