I just moved to town from Los Angeles, CA and I've had Tantalizing Tips bookmarked for months before I even moved. I'm a double Leo so I'm obligated to keep my claws, as they say, on fleek. I've had 2 structured gel manicures with Hana. Her attention to detail is unparalleled. I sent her a design by Rebekah Pritchard that I found on Instagram, and Hana did it better. The pictured set is Gel-X extensions (pre-existing, and this is one of the only places around that does them) with structured gel overlay. This is a 3D design; the white is slightly raised with a sprinkle of dip powder before setting. Hana completed this set on Phenix Salon Suite's opening celebration. There were many more distractions than usual but Hana stayed laser focused. The owner of the suites popped in to drop off flowers and provide refreshments, which was above and beyond. The suites are brand new and TT's space feels so exclusive and contemporary. It's just you and your tech so you'll feel like a princess. I'm about to have my first session with DJ later this week and I can't wait to meet the brains behind the operation. She's on the cutting edge and her team is the best all around! read more

Very new to this upscale type of nail and waterless pedicure so I wasn't 100% sure what to expect. Parking is a little confusing. You cannot cut through the Auto Zone parking lot. The vibe inside is great and everyone was very welcoming and friendly. I loved the music. You can tell the employees actually enjoy their craft. My appointment was with Janet who did my waterless pedicure and Gel X nails. Let's start with the pedicure. I didn't know what to expect from the "waterless pedicure". They do not provide a massaging chair but more like a dentist type chair which reclined. I hoisted my big behind into the chair which didn't incline to a comfortable position for me. I didn't find it very relaxing. Janet did an absolutely amazing job and paid extra attention to every detail of my foot. She also did a toenail reconstruction which was good (I don't think it was worth $20 though. Maybe $10). I also opted for the collagen socks which was much needed with my dry feet. After the socks I got a hot towel, scrub, and some foot mouse. I never got any massage with my pedicure- just the scrub and mousse rubbed into my foot. I really missed the whole massage experience (one of my top reasons I get them is for the foot/leg massage). Verdict for me- I'll skip the waterless pedicure as it's not for me. Next was the Gel X nails. Let me say I am obsessed!! They have a large selection of earthy colors which I am a fan of. I love how careful Janet was not to burn me when filing (thin nails). I also appreciated the caution when buffing so she didn't damage my natural nail. I usually get coffin shape and this time I tried almond. LOVE THEM! The color and style is PERFECT because they come pre-formed. Yes, these are more costly than acrylics but WOW what a difference perfect nails look. Janet was an absolute pleasure to chat with too. I am so glad I discovered this place!! Can't wait to go back and get my nails done again. You go ladies!! 100% recommend!! read more

Want Instagram-worthy nails? DJ is the nail tech you need. I've been to every nail salon from Skippack to Plymouth Meeting and, by far, she's the best. My nails have never looked this good and I love being the only client in the salon, especially now with Covid. Both my 14 year old daughter and I have been extremely pleased with the results... the nail art is ON POINT and DJ is the first nail tech I've been to who takes the utmost care to keep your natural nails in good health. The rates are extremely reasonable (too low, in my opinion, for the skill level involved), the place is spotless, and DJ is laidback and easy to talk to. She's the real deal. read more

Google Apres Gel X and then try and find someone in the area who does it? Almost impossible!!..So finding Dj was amazing. She is warm, welcoming, and responsive. She even entertained my zillion questions prior to coming in for my 1st appointment, so she is also patient. I love acrylic but hate the chunky look that comes with it so Apres was the only solution. Dj has a wide variety of gel colors and also does pedicures! She knowledgable and truly is an artist. Other great things about Tantalizing Tips is that you can pay by Venmo, there is parking, and most importantly, you can make an appointment online that Dj actually keeps. My appointment was 11:45am-1pm and I was out right at 1pm - this is huge plus to me because I had other things scheduled for after. Most nail salons allow you to make an appointment, but rarely do they keep it and be on time. Absolutely amazing services, prices are fair, work is beautiful, business is professional.
