C top nails trash work on the left. What nails are supposed to look like on the right
    Melisa M.

Save yourself the headache and go down the road to basically any other place. This place made me sit with 3 different women for an acrylic refill with gel polish. Each time they tacked on another fee. One woman tried to shape my nail using the electric file (which was already an extra charge) and when I asked her to use a regular file because it hurt my natural nail she said no. I stopped and said I don't feel comfortable with this, at that point she agreed to do it. But she shaped them poorly, using nail clippers are a shortcut - so some were thinner than others. I asked for matte polish and it was trash! You could see the shine peaking through because it was so streaky. They even painted on my cuticle... THE WORST! The picture on the left is from C top nails and the picture on the right is from lush lacquer nails.

This picture was taken 2 days after the eyebrow wax!

I went there Friday for an eyebrow wax and have had this done numerous times at other places, so I didn't think I would have a problem. It hurt more than usual and didn't realize why until the next day when my one eye was swollen shut and the whole area was bright red and obviously burned. I took a picture Sunday and it was still a mess. I went to see them on Monday and nicely explained my concerns and showed them the damage. They were nice, but admitted to no wrong doing and offered no compensation. They said to just put on Vaseline!

About 6 girls and I went to C Top nails recently for manicures/pedicures before my sister's wedding. They were so accommodating and opened up the entire salon for us. We were all taken care of pretty much simultaneously which was extremely valuable with our time constraints. They permitted us to bring champagne and set out a bunch of cute snacks for us (including sparkling juice). The prices are definitely reasonable and everyone loved their nails! I'd definitely recommend-their work is beautiful and they're really sweet women.

I recently started frequenting this nail salon and was so excited because I've had great…read moreinteractions every time I've gone. I have been trying different nail techs so I can find one I love and can stick with and I tried a tech I've never had before. When she first started, she immediately grabbed the clippers and I told her I don't want my cuticles or my nails cut, just pushed back and filed. I was on the phone (which is my own fault), when she was responding and saying she wanted to even them out. I told her I just wanted them filed and I don't mind if they're not the same length. They're close enough. She still was saying they should be cut and was saying "what about these? Just a little to even out and then file?"And pointing to my different fingers, to which I just ultimately said "okay whatever you say I guess, I trust you". Which was entirely my mistake. I should have stood my ground but I didn't want to be difficult or make a scene. She cut all of my nails SIGNIFICANTLY shorter than I was expecting to "even them out". For reference, I have been working on growing my nails out for the past 8 weeks so I could have long nails for Thanksgiving and decided last minute to treat myself to a manicure because to try to avoid biting my nails due to stress. It only got worse. After she had already cut them, much lower than I was okay with, she then filed them into square after I told her to keep the natural shape and that I didn't want them to be shaped in square or round. I just wanted her to follow the natural line of my nails and even out the length. Even then, she made them square and when I asked her to round just the edges because they were way too square and sharp and she made every nail round. She filed so much and so low that my nails are now nubs almost as short as when I bite them. Despite trying not to, I immediately started crying because I could feel the physical discomfort of my nails being shorter than my fingertips for the first time in a long time and she continued on. I don't like to cause scenes, and there was nothing that could be done at that point so it would be pointless to complain so I sat there silently as she continued the manicure. I am so heartbroken, I've been upset ever since I left the nail salon today. Unfortunately nothing can be done and while she did a good job on the actual painting of the nails, she took away months of effort I have made to finally grow my nails out, after I told her what I wanted. While I realize I should have stood my ground, she should have respected what I was asking of her. I also will commend her for fixing one of my nails swiftly and with kindness. However, this experience upset me to the point where I am considering not returning to this salon. I have had my nails done and disliked them before (happens to everyone, nbd) but if someone has long nails and they're telling you not cut them, why are you continuing to push to cut them shorter and then filing so short that there's pain and discomfort? I hope this experience never happens to anyone else who is working as hard as I was to break that habit.

I just moved to town from Los Angeles, CA and I've had Tantalizing Tips bookmarked for months…read morebefore I even moved. I'm a double Leo so I'm obligated to keep my claws, as they say, on fleek. I've had 2 structured gel manicures with Hana. Her attention to detail is unparalleled. I sent her a design by Rebekah Pritchard that I found on Instagram, and Hana did it better. The pictured set is Gel-X extensions (pre-existing, and this is one of the only places around that does them) with structured gel overlay. This is a 3D design; the white is slightly raised with a sprinkle of dip powder before setting. Hana completed this set on Phenix Salon Suite's opening celebration. There were many more distractions than usual but Hana stayed laser focused. The owner of the suites popped in to drop off flowers and provide refreshments, which was above and beyond. The suites are brand new and TT's space feels so exclusive and contemporary. It's just you and your tech so you'll feel like a princess. I'm about to have my first session with DJ later this week and I can't wait to meet the brains behind the operation. She's on the cutting edge and her team is the best all around!
