**** Resembles a CHOP SHOP **** I was out of town, but local to the area visiting. I had a nail emergency. I needed a color change for a few reasons. It was a Sunday and this was the only local nail salon open. I called around 12 pm and made an appointment for 3:30. When I arrived I had time to pick out a color and then was seated at table 6. The male nail tech began taking my nail color off by using the electric nail tool. While he took my polish off he began speaking a different language to a female to his left. They were clearly speaking about my nails. He would motion to my nails and then held my hand closer for her to look. At this time I can only assume what they were saying. It really set the tone for the rest of the visit. After he took my polish, he never asked me to wash my hands to remove the dust. He never used the dry coat to remove oils, or a base coat. He just began painting directly on the acrylic. He went through one coat and it began browning. So he removed it and took another layer off. I did mention a base coat and I could not understand what he said. After all was said and done, I had color polish and clear coat in my cuticles and sides of my fingers. The polish was not smooth. I ended up removing my nails two days later. I paid $25 for a VOLOR CHANGE! I tipped $4. Crazy. In the end I think he was just going fast to get it done and be done. Then a guy walked in smelling of pot demanding his appointment. They said, it is at 4:30 and to come back. He said, "ok, well don't be late and forget about me." He never came back while I was there. I should have waited. But he been getting my nails done first over 25 years. This is a very old school type of salon. I should have known better. read more

I hate trying a new salon for something so simple and they don't deliver. Went in for a refill with the color "funny bunny", simple. They told me $40. Fair price. As she's filling I point out crooked nails 3+ different times and she even agreed that they were crooked. And I kept asking her to make them sharp - coffin with sharp squared off ends. After you tell someone straighter and more sharp 3+ times you realize they just can't deliver. I asked how much to buy a nail file hoping she would get the hint. $2 so I grabbed that. Went to the front to pay and said so $42 right and she says no $45 because cut down. But the boss over heard and said no $40 as was said in the beginning. I might be wrong on that but I thought a refill included the cut down and reshaping? Anyways they look very round and uneven so I'm at work filing them myself. They just look childish and lumpy not grown and sharp. read more

Took my wife here and she left this place in tears!!! She is not very picky about her nails she just gets a basic manicure/pedicure. She went to Kim who was rude to her and talked badly about her in her language to a coworker. She did a very sloppy job that even I could notice! For an expensive (and increasing) prices I do not recommend this slow sloppy salon. Do not come here unless you want to spend 2+ hours for an overpriced terrible service. read more

When I was last there end of February I made next appointment for 11:30 on April 1. When I arrived they told me my appointment Was for 10:30 and could not fit me in. They made no attempt whatsoever to accommodate me due to their mistake in appointment book. I left and will never go back. They have lost a good customer . NOT CLEAN! GOT A BACTERIAL INFECTION IN MY INDEX FINGER AFTER A GEL MANICURE. Stay away from this place!!! We moved and this was the closest salon... they had good reviews online so I decided to try the place. The evening of when I got my nails done I developed a sharp pain in my index finger then had severe swelling with a bump on my finger. I'm still in the process of healing. Golden Nails has grown on me! Today was my second time here after my fill last time left me with ever so slightly uneven nails (I'm very particular, nail imperfections drive me crazy). I tried out a pedicure today and it was the best one I've gotten!! Nice leg massage, hot stones used for a foot massage, and attention to detail. I went to Golden nails to get my eyebrows waxed 2 days ago. I have previously been here a few times to get my eyebrows waxed and they did a fine job. But the other day, the woman waxed my eyebrows so aggressively and carelessly which caused the skin underneath both of my eyebrows to be ripped off with the wax. This was very painful and now I have two huge patches of raw skin under my eyebrows. It looks like I got punched in the eyes. I do not recommend going here to get your eyebrows waxed. I got my eyebrows waxed here and the woman first spilled wax in my eye and all over my eyebrow. Then she waxed an ENTIRE section of my eyebrow off because she failed to clean up all the wax. Tried this spa for the first time yesterday! Had an amazing mani/pedi here at a great price. The place is lovely, clean & comfortable. Best massage chair I've experienced. Also great massage from Nina! Helena & the entire staff were super friendly. Would be a great place to take girls for a special day. They had a twinkling castle & two kid friendly pedi stations.
