ows a pair of dumbs on the floor
John R.

Overall, not a great experience. The first hurdle was trying to book a mutually beneficial time to do an oil tank removal. It was far more difficult than it should have been. We kept receiving day of requests to come by and do the removal. After the third or fourth time of asking for a specific time/ window, we were finally given one. They still showed up 20 minutes outside the window. When the workers arrived there was minimal communication and they went right to work. After they were done I inspected the area and it was a total mess. (Pictures attached) My basement door was damaged and stained with oil. My basement railing was now stained with oil. The basement floor was left covered in dirt and rock from underneath the tank. They only made an effort to clean up the oil they spilled. And not a great job either because there was still oil splatter on numerous personal things in the basement. Not to mention the water that was coming out of my brand-new heating system. I don't even know what happened there because they never said anything to me. Thankfully my heat still works. I gave them two stars because I'm sure cutting up an oil tank and removing it piece by piece is not an easy or clean process. But for paying $700 for a service, you'd think someone would watch the doors they were banging into or at least run a broom over the ground when you're done.

Our 40 yr old tank began to slowly drip. It was full of heating oil. Three guys came out, pumped out 260 gallons of our oil into a holding tank in their truck. Removed the old, rotted tank, installed a new one. Did all the pipe fitting, and then pumped our oil -- through a filter -- back into our new tank. They were clean, fast, and efficient. They were in and out in 1-hour !!! I would hire the pro's at Tanks-a-Lot again. Nick in Sterling, MA

Oil leak after repairs were made. Tiger loop system was unauthorized. Was to be a new tank install only.

They were incredibly quick (responding within the first 45 mins of my Yelp request ) to respond when I discovered a water leak coming from outside. Since the source wasn't obvious (potentially an ice dam, roof issue, etc.), I really appreciated how quickly and thoroughly they assessed the situation. They were able to identify both how far the water had spread inside and pinpoint the exact source of entry from outside. Once the issue was identified, they moved fast to fix it properly. After repairing the exterior source, they took extra precautions inside, treating the affected area to prevent any potential mold, installing new insulation, replacing the ceiling and smoothing everything out, and finishing with a clean paint job. You'd never know there had been an issue as it was repaired well. Jean, in particular, was fantastic to work with. He was very accommodating to my schedule, acted with urgency throughout the entire process, and made a stressful situation feel manageable. He clearly explained the plan, the reasoning behind each step, and made sure I felt confident that the problem was fully resolved. Overall, a smooth, professional, and high-quality experience from start to finish. I wouldn't hesitate to use Trust Contractors again.

The on-site manager, Jonathan, was great, and they gracefully and quickly responded to additional requests and changes of plans we requested, including entirely changing one of the windows. Even our neighbor reached out to tell us how nice and respectful they were and asked us how we found them. The answer is that I just saw that they were well-reviewed on Yelp, so I'm adding my review here too. Their pricing was very reasonable, and their work was exceptional. They replaced a shower system, which involved breaking existing tile and seamlessly re-tiling the affected section after the new shower was installed. During the process, they covered the opening with plastic so we could continue using the shower (even though it only took a couple of days). The re-tiled area blends perfectly with the rest of the shower (see attached pic). You'd never know it was repaired. They also repaired significant water damage from burst pipes, replacing and adding insulation and drywall, installed recessed lighting with dimmers, replaced a window and glass shower doors, swapped out an awkward set of swinging bathroom doors for a proper door, and took care of several long-overdue household repairs. Everything was completed quickly, quietly, and efficiently. If we ever need renovations in the future, we'll definitely be using them again.

The quote I received was incomplete (later) for electrical work!!!! Bottom line here, I also have texts and email that were not responded to or ignored, in spite of specifically ask Matt the owner if he is interested in taking the job. He said yes. But then never responded to text messages.

Throughout the process he was highly professional, communicated with me regularly, and made me feel at ease. I would highly recommend Carlos & Alcantara Contractor for any general contracting needs!

We were so impressed with their services that we asked to work with them for some additional work after the initial project was completed. The project involved redoing our kitchen and bathroom. We used a 3rd party to design and purchase the items through them and relied on Marcelino and his team to demo and install the new fixtures, cabinets and appliances! Although there were hiccups along the way (something to expect when it comes to any renovation work), Marcelino ensured that issues were had were addressed promptly. Marcelino was upfront during our initial walkthrough quote and gave an accurate timeframe when the project could be completed. The second phase involved the installation of some recessed lights which was completed within 1-2 weeks. Very happy with the results! There were some minor issues after the project's completion but after mentioning these concerns Marcelino had his team stop by our place with a very quick turnaround time to address our concerns. Overall Marcelino and his team were professional and respectful of our property (made sure to cover our exposed furniture during the painting/demolition phases). Their price was also reasonable for the Boston area. I would strongly recommend Alcantara for any renovation projects you may have! We would use them again for any future projects we may have planned.
