After 40 more minutes, he was trying to wave down staff and waiter to find out why my shrimp curry entree wasn't there yet and also to order another drink. It took about 15 mins for him to get someone to come back to the table, he had to stand up and wave his arms to ask. They finally brought my entree out, but he was done with his entree at that point. He ordered another drink then too he could have while I finally began eating my dinner 40 mins after he had his own entree. It was kind of a flop for date night. A manager/owner/very nice woman came out later to us to apologize and explain that all the staff was brand new to explain the service delays, and we understood that, but it was still a very difficult service to sit through Friday night at dinner in a half empty restaurant we were trying for the first time. Bc of all that they seemed to switch out our earlier waiter for a waitress who was equally nice, but when she asked how we were doing (with full cocktail and food on table) I mentioned we were good now but would prob need boxes later on, and she immediately reappeared with boxes and the check, while we were still eating and drinking. The food? Shrimp curry was good, but a much smaller portion than I expected. The samosas were great. The cocktails were very good. We decided to try this place out anyways, and I have mixed feelings. The food here is very good and presented well, especially when dining in. I ordered the Moroccan beef kebab plate and it was very tasty and portions were large, which made the price worth it in my opinion. The cleanliness and overall state of this restaurant is a bit concerning though, and I honestly wouldn't recommend to others. There were practically no clean tables for us to sit at, half-finished plates of food scattered around the entire place, improper food handling (not swapping gloves after touching various surfaces), and even witnessed one of the employees drinking a leftover smoothie drink directly from the blender (!!!!!). Normally these are things I wouldn't notice when dining at the restaurant, but given the layout of this place it was hard to miss. Eat here with caution!

We looked at the menu online ahead of time to refresh our memories on their offerings, and the food was listed all together in a section called "all day menu". We had some dishes in mind that we wanted to try, namely the tikka tots, the mirchi bhajji and the rasam ramen. Unfortunately none of these items were on the menu when we went in. I realized that they have separate menus for lunch and dinner with the lunch menu being more limited, which I know lots of restaurants do. Nevertheless we were still excited to try the food there. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice. Beautiful design, very comfortable and the music was a vibe. Contrary to some of the other reviews here saying that the service was aloof and lackluster, we found that it was prompt and down to earth. We opted for some Indian beers over cocktails. For food we decided on some curry dishes. Boyfriend ended up with paneer butter masala, I had Goan fish curry and we split some garlic naan. The guy did warn ahead of time that the fish curry was a naturally spicy dish, to which I stated that I was totally cool with that since I love the spicier dishes. Boyfriend asked for his butter masala to be extra hot. The presentation of the entrees is absolutely stunning. The rice was fluffy and the curry hit all the flavor notes as it was a little sweet, a little spicy and a little tangy. In hindsight I think I should've asked them to make it a tad spicier for me, but the flavor was definitely there and it was a pretty solid, filling dish. Boyfriend really enjoyed his butter masala, saying that they delivered on his request for extra heat. The bread wasn't bad, though the portion is rather small and it kind of reminded me of the packaged naan bread you can get at the grocery store. Overall it was a good experience at Don't Tell Aunty. I did see on the website that they were making changes to the menu, so I look forward to seeing what else they can do.

We ordered four different dishes on our side of the table and they were somewhat bland. The vegetable momos definitely need some kind of sauce since they were lacking in flavor. We also got a curry chicken thigh, beef noodles, and butter tofu. I think only the beef noodles had a good enough flavor profile and kick to them. I was also surprised that the portion sizes weren't close to what you would expect for the price. I think with so many good south Asian spots in the area, it's hard to recommend Martsa. I might consider coming back if I learn that there is a particular dish that I am missing out on.
