We passed by this little truck a few times until one day we decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised to know that their menu is fully vegan. I got three tacos with mild sauce. I really liked the tortilla and the "meat" inside. I do feel that three tacos did not fill me up. I was happy to give it a try and they tasted delicious. However, I would love to see more "meat" in the tacos :) The guy that helped us out was very friendly. This is WASTEFUL. I have a bunch left over and nothing to do with it. The beans are advertised as "honestly the best" you've had, and they honestly aren't. They're a bit dry. Taco and beans were cold. The sour cream has a weird aftertaste. Guc is not so yummy either. I only tasted a touch as it had cilantro and I struggle to digest cilantro. They didn't have any chips for sale. This would cost you about 2$ to make at home. But that's not including the containers, napkins and utensils. TO THE OWNERS: adjust entrees to have .25¢ addons. happened upon this little spot on a drunken night in Waikiki across the st from Kelley O'Briens bar at like 3 am. Met one of the owners, Tanya is his wife and they are from East coast (cuz had a Baltimore accent from the heavens)! Lots of heart, and lots of patience for the drunk and hungry crowds. Food was incredible, it's literally the best thing to find on a night like that night. Something to sober up with and still be taking care of your body and tastebuds. We came here to eat due to the reviews but honestly this was so disappointing. Not only was the food subpar the person serving us was very rude. We ordered the crunch wrap and the photo showed the wrap was cut in half. Once we saw it was still whole and we asked the person to cut it and he told us No. very disappointed and quality is bad. Good service, portions are not too big and easily eaten in one sitting. Great to provide late night vegan food. I would love to see items that do not contain beyond meat and maybe just some bean dishes - otherwise won't be coming back often because I stay away from too much processed vegan foods but great for people looking for late night vegan and it's a novelty in Hawai'i. First of all, let me just say as a disclaimer that my boyfriend normally does not eat vegan food. There is no place on Oahu that he likes with vegan food, and believe me I've tried. He can usually always tell, and it just doesn't taste the same to him. Anyway, he got the Vegan Crunchwrap, I stole a bite and let me just say to Taco Bell sorry not sorry, we're getting Crunchwraps and burritos at Tanja's from now on. He even pulled out the "meat" and thought I was pranking him with real meat by pretending it was vegan. Nope! The seasonings and quality are just that good! Also the mild salsa was perfect for him and the spicy salsa burned me so good! I had the burrito and I am so excited to come here again! Such an amazing experience. First let's talk about the customer service. Top notch. Forest and Tanja are great people. Next, the flavors are phenomenal. Hands down one of the best taco places on the island. What's crazy is that this spot is off the beaten path, plant based, open late and totally off the radar during the week. Everything on the menu is made to order and made from scratch- it's the sort of thing you can eat and feel good after. I'm not plant based, but come back every weekend because it's that good. My girlfriend, who is vegan, loves it too and says she would eat it every day if she could. It's not easy finding vegan food open late which is how we stumbled upon this place. It's truly a gem.
