Visited for the first time last night and was very pleased with our food, the service and the ambiance. We live in Oviedo, but our daughter and her family live in OBTS and used to visit Tango's food truck when it was parked at Beach Side Brew Pub. They became regulars when the restaurant opened on US 1. My husband and I shared the Chiropan Sandwich with Argentine Potato Salad, the Tango Burger with fries, and a spinach and cheese empanada - all very good. We were there to celebrate our daughter's birthday. The staff offered her a free dessert and served it with a candle and a serenade! We will be back. read more

The server was laid back. Was very attentive as well. The owner was very nice and made my husband feel comfortable (he's also from Argentina). It's a father and son business (we think). The food was ok. The potato salad was bland to me. My husband thought it was ok. The skirt steak was SO chewy to me, my husband said that too was ok. The melanesia sandwich was delicious. this place is off the beaten path not a beach place but these empanadas are amazing.. I did the fried version and got a beef, chorizo, and spinach and cheese. I will they are are all equally good in their own way. With the chimichurri sauce the ground beef was very good. We had a group of 12 church ladies (and you know rowdy we can get). We were seated promptly and we didn't have to wait for a waitress. Everybody ordered something different and everything was absolutely delicious. I had the Cuban Sandwich and it is truly the best I've ever had. Service was prompt, courteous and with a smile. Prices are very reasonable. If I could give a 10 star rating, I would. My only concern was that there was no full bar (we do like our cocktails) just beer and wine. I am an empanada snob so when I found out there was a restaurant that specializes in them I had to give it a go! Off we went to tangos. There is a place in Boulder, Colorado that has the best empanadas I've ever eaten, but this place did not disappoint. I had the three pack that included a spicy chorizo, beef, and spinach and cheese. They also offer dipping sauces that spice it up a bit. While the beef empanada was nothing special, the chorizo and the spinach and cheese were both outstanding! Prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere is a little bland, but it is near the ocean and the beach and the staff was very friendly. they do have other menu items but I wasn't interested. The four of us all had empanadas and nobody left unhappy. In fact, next time I go, tangos will be a must visit. read more

Flavor Packed Date Night Spot - So excited to find this hidden gem! Lively, local spot with delicious Argentinian food. Talented guitarist was singing when we arrived, and we were seated quickly. I had the white sangria which was perfectly sweet and packed with fruit including blood oranges. Pretty and delicious! We shared two orders, the shrimp pinchos and their signature steak dish. Both had outstanding flavor and reasonably priced. Couldn't resist the carmel flan for dessert and my husband was fighting me for the last bite. I haven't had a meal this delicious or flavor-packed for a long time. And, the bill was not outrageous.
