Oh wow so good We got the address and went there for lunch. Found it and the place is really nice on the 2nd floor overlooking Grenada blvd Very good selection on menu. I had mahi mahi soft shell tacos. 4 of them. With 4 different sauces to try on them. 4 sauces were great. From mild to wild. Candyce tried the empanada meal with 2 beef ones. Came with black beans with rice, Cuban bread, and plantains. Everything was super tasty and service was excellent. This was a great find. Definitely will be back. read more

Food was great, pulling up and walking to the second floor of the complex, and being next to a dog groomer made me scratch my head. Walked in and looked like a fairly typical Mexican restaurant. Menu looked to be a decent size and had an array of times on it. The guy that took our order was from Guatemala making Mexican, Cuban and Puerto Rican food. Again head scratching. I ordered carne frita and mofongo as it's always been one of my fav Puerto Rican dishes. Expectations were certainly high. Food was out pretty quick and all three dishes we ordered were great! Carne Frita (fried pork) with Mofongo, ropa vieja, steak palomilla all were great portions, tasted phenomenal and sides were amazing. I would have liked my steak little bit more on the medium rare side but overall the flavors were there. The mofongo was also really good. Always one of my favorite places to go in town due to their wide selection of food. This place has everything from tres leches to mangonada, all at a great price. Recently I tried their Al pastor tacos for the first time. Some of the better tacos I have had in town no doubt about it. Flavorful and juicy meat with the spice of the sauces provided to you created a fantastic bite. To my preference I would have liked the tortilla to be toasted. The churassco was cooked great. Tender as a skirt steak should be. It was just laking some flavor. Could have used a bit more salt. Other than that the flavors from the side dishes were all fantastic and you can never go wrong with plantains! read more

I've been on the hunt for a spectacular Cuban Mix Sandwich. This was far from it. I'm 62 yrs old so I've had a few traditional, mix and variants. Anyone that has ever been to Tampa, Miami or Key West knows a "Cuban Mix" has salami. I got home, we started eating and realized they were traditional Cuban Sandwiches with their version of mix, onions, lettuce and tomato. The sandwiches were actually good, but far from knock your socks off. I will say, fairly, the roast pork was very good. Anyhow, being a local for 38 years, I try to support and help locally owned businesses, so I gave a call to the store and identified myself. They remembered, I said we ate, we aren't complaining just wanted you to know they weren't "Mix". The guy got all huffy and sounded like he wanted to argue. I explained and his response is there isn't even any salami in the store! Ok, I got it, just trying to help, so I won't be back. Beware: IT IS NOT A CUBAN MIX. And one more note, the online menu had Ceviche on it at the Holly Hill store, I went there first only to find they didn't have any. The sandwich was for me, the ceviche for my wife, so I drove to the Ormond site after being told at Holly Hill the Grenada store has ceviche and it's the same owner. I ordered it when I got there only to be told they didn't have any. This is on a Saturday at 4:45 p.m.??!! Really? Next time, maybe I'll just make the drive to Key West and go to Five Brothers where I am appreciated, don't get argued with and most of all get the best D... CUBAN MIX in the country. read more
