A great outlet. Went with my family about 2 years ago and then again this week. Some stores did seem slightly overpriced for an an outlet, but overall the deals were still there. read more

This place makes regular Malls obsolete. Twice a year my wife and I pack up the credit cards and head out to Tanger to buy everything we need for the year clothing wise. The discounts, selections and coupon books make this place UNBEATABLE. read more

Great deals during any type of holiday, ie. Presidents' Day weekend. Wasn't too crowded. Stores aren't too bad. I prefer the stores at Tanger II, food court there is also definitely better. Disappointed that many stores that I enjoy shopping at were closed. Overall I will continue coming here since it isn't too far from home. But it definitely doesn't compare to Woodbury outlets. read more

I totally scored here. Ahh so many deals.. oh tanger outlet, why most you be in no mans land? 1 star off for location. Even though this a total trek I will prob come back again in the next month. read more

If I had to pick one word to describe Tanger, it would probably be underwhelming (although most outlets are in general). I didn't mind the long trek to Riverhead, mostly because the boy wanted to take a day trip to the outlet anyway. It was just to browse around with no intention of seeking out anything. I'm well aware about how outlets really are: located in remote locations that require quite some effort to get to them with sub-par quality merchandise masquerading under "discount" prices. This isn't true for every company with outlet stores, but just don't shop with your eyes closed. Tanger is broken down into two different sections (Tanger 1 & Tanger 2) -- some people might not care for this, but it didn't bother me. Once you're done with one section, just drive to the other one. At least the separation cuts down on having to walk everywhere. You can get the coupon book, although many stores require you to spend $100+ to get a measly 10% off or something. At the J.Crew Factory Store, my student I.D. gave me a better discount (15%) with no minimum purchase. The food court in Tanger 1 is terrible. If you absolutely have to eat here, go to Tanger 2 instead. Tanger is also a vending machine heaven, so you never have to worry about thirst. There are vending machines between every few stores. read more

Fun place to come in the spring and summertime for shopping. A lot of stores and good deals.

Shopping here is easy. The rewards program is great. They are very involved n Community programs as well.

Went here during a black friday sale 2015. It's your average outlet. They have a lot of vendors-- Nike, Forever 21, Polo, Guess, Kate Spade, Michael Kors, Saks, Lululemon, Uggs, etc. They have multiple lots for parking and the sections are connected so that you can walk from one portion of the outlet to the other (although the walk may be about 5-8 minutes from section to section). read more

Wilson Leather store in tager outlet. If it was possible I would give this store 0 stars. Manager Lewis as what the name was given to us was very rude and uneducated. He was yelling in the store. He even came outside fighting with the customer. Will never shop in the store. Warning to all customers if need help dont ask the manager. This is a msg for the higher management, please educate your managers read more

I went to Tanger mall yesterday with my wife and cousins. The mall itself in slit into 2 main parts Tanger 1 and Tanger 2. There appears to be a pretty even split in store types and quality among the 2 malls. There are very nice discounts to be acquired at the stores in these malls including some well known designer names The real trick is to use the discount book which is free to Tanger club members and AAA card holders or $5.00 to purchase. Tanger also has several promotions that are based on the amount you spend at the mall. The mall itself is clean and is family friendly. This mall is well worth the trip from our home which is about an hour away. There is also a free shuttle available between the Tanger 1 and Tanger 2 malls. This is recommended destination if your either in wine country or in Riverhead. read more

I'll ignore the duplicating listings (and lack of spacing) and toss a 2 at this spot, which somehow survives after a merger and the popularity of Staples. read more

I have been traveling to shop at Tanger Outlets in Riverhead since shortly after they opened and over the years if has become my outlet mall of choice for a multitude of reasons. The mall is well planned and well maintained and because of its location at the eastern end of the LIE at the beginning of the North and South Forks of Long Island attracts many vacationers and summer residents on their way to those areas. That, in turn continually attracts most of the name brand outlet stores to the mall. Although there is significant turnover of those stores, there is always representation of the latest hot retailer as well the retail stalwarts. I learned several years ago that by purchasing a modest price discount card one time, I can stop in and get a current discount book at no additional cost every time I visit. The card enables me to receive additional discounts for my birthday and by email several times during the year. Almost every visit yields multiple shopping choices with discounts. The layout of this very large mall with two enormous sections surrounding large parking fields enables the shoppers to move close to their stores of choice. If one chooses to get exercise by walking among the stores, Tanger provides well maintained wide sidewalks with benches to rest and well-spaced rest rooms, two food halls, and a significant number of vending machines along the way. Finally, the success of this Tanger Mall has caused the development of a 3 mile shopping area along adjoining County Route 58 that has representation of almost every national brand and food outlet to give plenty of choices beyond the Tanger Mall itself. read more

A very large outlet with a huge variety of shops and stores! You can spend all day here shopping! There's a food court that serve has the usual fast food chains. Love this place! Definitely a great place to hang out with friends and family! read more

I work here so 5 Stars! Lol awesome shops very friendly staff everywhere just wish the food courts had better food choices and lower prices honestly they charge Manhattan prices in Riverhead like what is that?! $10 for a chicken sandwich and small fries?! Come on man there's no healthy food choices for people on diets or Bariatric in my case please consider this for the future read more

I haven't been out here in a while and it sure has changed. I came on a Sunday afternoon, and although it was packed, I was able to find parking right away. If you are willing to walk, just park at the very end, saves you the time and headache of circling around for a "good" spot. I noticed there were A LOT of vacancies, don't know why so many stores went out of business since I was last there. The clientele has also changed drastically. Now it seems like a place where gang members convene. I would never eat in that food court at Tanger 2 again. They really need to hire security and make sure people sitting down are actually purchasing food and not just loitering or having a picnic with food they brought from home. They should set out benches for those who want to rest their feet along the way but its unfair for those who are buying food to have no where to sit because people are playing 3 dice cee-lo and cards at all the tables. I was able to wait for a table outside, and after I sat down to eat, this Hispanic women came over and sat at my table like we knew her! What made matters worse was her family of 10 came shortly after and put all their food (from home) and their kids on the table. Yes, their kids! And this was a small 4 person table. You can still find some good deals at some of the stores and there is always some sort of sale happening. Not sure I would come back anytime soon though. Tanger 1 is not even worth going to. read more

Riverhead outlets are fantastic. The stores are set up very well. Easy access for handicap people. Parking is never a problem. They have a shopping club you can sign up for at guest services. It's $10 to join and there are many benefits. They also give you $ for your birthday. The coupon book is free every time you go after joining the club. They have a tram set up for people who can't or don't want to walk. I haven't taken it but it drives down the front of all the stores. The stores are true outlet stores and there are bargains. read more

While taking a ride "Out East", Tanger In Riverhead is always stopping point! Not only are the amount of stores almost endless, but the deals I end up getting are unbeatable. Best Outlets on the Island for sure. Located at the end of the LIE, this should be extremely easy to find. Also can make this a destination after a day at the farm stands/ the aquarium etc. Plenty of parking all over. During the summer it does get crowded but worth the trip. There are lots of spots to grab a snack or hydrate. The bathrooms are very clean and well taken care of. The stores are amazing! Being a plus sized woman, sometimes outlets/malls aren't very accommodating, but at the Tanger in Riverhead I have quite a few options. After a day filled with bargain hunting, I usually find myself eating at The Modern Snack Bar in Aquebogue for a nostalgic lunch or dinner filled with great food and a trip back in time. Overall I recommend Tanger Outlets in Riverhead...worth the trip out East for sure. read more

Just another mall but as always you have to watch the price because some store hike the base price then say its a sale but in fact you not getting a sale so be careful read more

I went shopping at Dooney and Bourke at the Tanger Outlet in Riverhead for a pocketbook last evening and wanted to share with you what outstanding customer service I experienced in this store. Most reviews are negative but I have nothing but praise for both sales personnel in this store. Very attentive and not pushy with the sales at all! I highly recommend shopping here. It's clean and well set up so you can see all the merchandise from every corner of the store. I also love my new purse!!! read more

The piece came with a broken drawer. Not a single person mentioned it or made any sort of notion that the piece had anything wrong with it beyond some scratches. A guy named Neil was the reject to help me get to this point of anger which I am now writing a review. The guy said he did the paperwork and knew about the damage yet he acted like I should have known for my self. This information was not disclosed at the time of purchasing the dresser. That store is going to stiff you. DO NOT TAKE YOUR BUSINESS THERE. If by some chance you do.. be extremely careful and avoid a guy named Neil like the plague. Literally a useless individual. They are not done hearing from me by a long shot. read more

Yesss Tanger!!! Please be advised that I love Deer Park Tanger, but Riverhead takes the cake! There are such a great selection of stores here. Parking is convenient in my opinion. The food selection is not the greatest here, but who cares about food when there is an array of stores at your leisure? LOL A Lot has changed here. The crazy bargains are not as prevalent as years ago, but one can still find a good deal. I wont give up on you Tanger! I will take the ride any day! Happy Yelping! read more

Bargains abound at this vast array of outlet stores, sound you arrive with a need for stocking up and a plan of what you want, you can do well at Tanger. Where the Tanger outlets short is catering to a pleasant shopping "experience." The parking is a vast tangle and the stores are spread out in a way that makes it almost necessary to drive from one to another at times instead of walking. Not the worst thing in the world, but can be tiresome given how large and car-filled the lots are. Another thing missing from Tanger is quality food options. The food courts feature mall-type fast food that seems stuck in the 1980s. On the other hand, Tanger does deliver the basic, key ingredient of an outlet mall: wide selection of quality branded clothing and merchandise at very reasonable prices. For that reason, our family's most recent trip to Tanger will not be our last. read more

Went out to the outlet last Sunday. Parked by food court in Section 2. We are both seniors. Walked around. Shop, then got tired. Guard told us to sit and wait for Tolley. It comes every 15-20 minutes. Waited 45 minutes. Walked back to car went over to Section 1. Never saw this for a transportation. Called the next day. Told was call tomorrow and speak the correct department. Called next day. Left voice mail for Ms. Peterson, then waited a day. Thursday same thing. Never got a call back. My questions were 1)why isn't something posted on the market, like times, like it only runs from 12-7. 2) if a person doesn't show up or it's not working, why isn't there an announcement 3) why isn't there a number on markers to call to see if it's running that day instead of sitting there forever read more

Absolutely love this place. Was helped by Kaitlyn and she was so sweet, very attentive. My boyfriend loved it to knowing that there were great deals on lingerie for our up coming romantic vacations. 2.5 rounded for 3 stars. First off, I used to come here a while back when the outlet first started. It didn't have much of a variety of stores as it does now. Back then it used to have stores like limited too/rave girl (yeah, these stores now do not exist). So upon returning, I was quite surprised with the selection of new stores here one addition that surprised me was the Saks fifth outlet store, H&M, Forever21. This outlet mall is divided into 2 sections, I and II. They offer "guaranteed lowest price" where you bring proof of whatever merchandise you bought that is sold for less elsewhere (has to be within 14 days of purchase). But this whole process you have to go through the Tanger shopper services. Visited 2 Wilson's leather stores and was browsing at the bookbags, both store clerks are emphasizing it was on sale at a great price ($100 to $200 range)...decided not to buy it and later saw on their official website that the same bag is sold EVEN CHEAPER (under $100). Suppose I bought the bag and went through that whole guaranteed lowest price process...14 day time frame is quite short, Tanger outlet is an extremely long drive from where I am so in the end is it really worth it? There's an email option but they don't accept screenshots of websites. I just think for outlet stores they should be on top of their game when determining prices, consumers go to outlet stores assuming outlet prices. Saks fifth outlet-majority of the items were secured (as you would expect), but I found a lot of the items are offered in random sizes. Basically whatever leftover items that aren't sold ends up here (but still on the pricier side). Forever 2- small compared to typical F21 stores. H&M- quite large. Overall haven't seen much difference in their pricing compared to regular mall prices (maybe I went at the wrong time). I went to the majority of the stores in the outlet but didn't bother writing because it wasn't memorable. Parking- ample. I don't suggest walking from Tanger I and II by foot, it's better to drive to the other side. Cafeteria- recommend Tanger II over Tanger I. Tanger II has more variety of food. I went to Tanger I Which only had Nathans hot dog, Chinese food, pizza, and a cafe. Also noted that there was no worker at the cafe, and workers were going back and forth from working at the Chinese food place and nathans. Both cafeterias promptly closes at 8-9pm. Although there were still a few stragglers dining, went to the McDonald's at Tanger II to get a cup of water, employee wouldn't budge. Overall, outlet is okay but I expected much better deals...considering the travel I wouldn't think it was worth it. Maybe there's better deals on holidays and black friday. read more

I try to do all of my shopping here for several reasons. I do not like to shop, so a trip out to Riverhead gets me to almost every kind of store I need- shoes, sneakers, dresses, jeans, sweaters, bathing suits, even underwear. There's a food court and a place that gives free fudge samples. Plus all the exercise I get from walking makes me feel as though I'm not totally wasting my time supporting gigantic conglomerated stores. And no, there is no Wal-mart but it's still cheap. read more

Tanger and I have turned a corner. Visting family and friends from high school out on the island let me have more chances shop, and both times I came out with new goodies besides expired Goldfish. Holiday sales are the best way to score here. I'm still at a stand-off with the Express, Calvin Klein, Lacoste and Ralph Lauren here for the reasons I mentioned in my previous review. However Tommy Hilfiger, J. Crew, Banana Republic and Gap all had excellent sales to take advantage of. A good rule of thumb, if you don't usually shop the brand, you probably won't find anything you like in their outlet store. read more

This is a mall with two adjacent sites. Plenty of stores. We have been shopping at the Tanger Mall in Riverhead for many years now. We really enjoy it every time, and always find tons of great stuff to buy. There is plenty of free parking and a food court. Make sure you get the booklet of coupons at the Customer Service office there. Worth it. The best stores in our opinion: Saks Off Fifth Avenue, Barney's, and Maidenform. read more
