Every time I come to this TJ Maxx I walk out with something I love at a price you can't beat. This location in particular has items that I just never see anywhere else. Lots of actual designer labels here, even some YSL and Gucci bags behind glass. If you hit it right, you can get designer dresses marked down from hundreds of dollars for just $90 or so if you're shopping toward the end of the season. On my most recent trip here I walked out with $4 jean shorts, a $12 top, two pairs of casual shorts that came in a set for $6, and a two piece outfit for $29. Finding these items, especially on clearance, is a bit of a dig. It's decently well organized, but the clearance section is definitely a bit of the wild, wild west. Lots of things in this store are the very last one, so if you see something you love but need a different size you're probably out of luck. Definitely worth a stop in if you're in the area. read more

I popped into the Riverhead location last night after coming from a baseball game at Mattituck high school. The store is huge and seemed to be pretty organized and the sales associates are very friendly. I was able to find a great pair of sandals for $24.99. The selection is abundant and the checkout was less than 2 minutes. Look forward to shopping there again when I'm in Riverhead. read more

During the check out process the cashier asked if I would like to donate to diabetes. I said "no thank you". She was persistent and asked again about rounding up my total to diabetes. I said "no thank you" the cashier then proceeded to round up MY MONEY to give to diabetes when I told her NO twice! It's my money and I can do whatever I want with it. read more

This is one of my favorite stores! I really enjoy the food, clothes, toys, home decor, etc. I love hanging the signs from the home section all over my house. They have cute pillows that say "home sweet home" and the little jars that say "things." They also have kitchen signs that say "pantry" and ones that name different types of coffee. In my home office for my job as my husbands plumbing company manager, I have plenty of adorable signs from my kids that they purchased here to thank me after hiring my ex husband to save my husband from almost drowning in a septic tank. I also love the clothes. We were able to get a luxury Calvin Klein sports bra for an affordable discount price for my developing daughter. One star is removed for the food sometimes being stale and for the products not typically being organized neatly on the shelves and sometimes even being opened or used. Not the best for men . Definitely a bit or miss. Compared to women's the inventory the men's is very limited. The women's clothing selection is quite good (expecially the casual). It's tough to walk out empty handed. They should forget about having the couture department. Clothes aren't special and prices hiigh. read more

BEST and largest bathing suit selection out of any TJ Maxx I have ever been to. The people are friendly and helpful. Though the dress section leaves much to be desired, but with a swimsuit section like that who cares! Also their pet section is great! read more

I shop here all the time, for every and any occasion in my life. I've always loved having to search high and low and always end up finding the absolute perfect fit, wether it's a blazer, shoes, pants etc. But I have never been treated with such disrespect and lack of customer service that I endured tonight. After searching for 2 hours I finally found the most perfect pair of pants for a very important upcoming event and upon trying them on, I noticed THREE holes in the seems on the back. Two on one leg and the third on the other leg. I would've loved to have gone back out and alert one of the associates that these pants were damaged and then just go grab another pair, but that was not the case due to the rare finds of TJ Maxx. The floor manager Veronica, was of no help at all. After I explained that these were the only ones left AND happen to be in my size- she said the most she could do is 10% off. They started at $24.99 so $22.00 was what it came down to. I'm not a difficult customer, i work in customer service. I am a manager of a cafe in Sag Harbor so I deal with difficult customers everyday. But had there been only one hole I would've accepted the discount. But THREE holes?! You're selling very damaged merchandise! When I asked if it were possible to bring down the price a little more she gave me an attitude and said "look, you don't have to buy it!" I did not respond to that. Because I DO have to buy them for the event. I did not respond to her attitude, I turned to the cashier and said "alright, i'll take them." I found Veronica's (aka Vero's) attitude ultimately distasteful and rude. This was far from a pleasant shopping experience. And it's a real shame because I've always been taken care of any other time I've shopped there. I hope in the future something like this does not happen again.
