I was hoping for so much more being the first Indian restaurant to try in the area thanks to the raving reviews! Ugh. Disappointing to say the least. Service was decent (language barrier with cashier), place was cleaner and well maintained, parking is easy out front in a shared Plaza, ambiance is casual but nothing spectacular, good amount of seating inside and outside, and the food... bland! I've had much tastier Indian food in Southern Cali, NY, Chicago, and of course India itself (Hyderabad). We were sorely disappointed. Chicken Tikka masala may as well have been Butter Chicken (we ordered both with mild spice) as it lacked any rich flavor and was very, very buttery. The samosas lacked authentic taste, garlic naan was thin and crispy (not the fluffy naan we've come to adore), and saag paneer wasn't anywhere as flavorful compared to Naan Cafe down south in Redlands, CA. The one dish that we DID enjoy with an expected taste was the Butter Chicken. That was great! All in all, we don't plan to return but it was still worth a try. Give it a go yourself - every taste buds is different! Hopefully you'll have a much better experience than we did. Just too bland for me. We were handed some menus and just told to come up and order when ready. Others we're walked to their seats and then given menus. She then ignored us except to drop off food. Upon walking in, the restaurant felt bright and welcoming. The space was very clean and well lit thanks to the large windows. After choosing our table, we lined up to place our order. We decided on the lamb biryani, chicken curry, lamb vindaloo, and butter naan. One thing to note is that this place charges for water, which was a bit surprising. It was a Wednesday afternoon, and while the restaurant wasn't crowded, the food still took some time to come out. On top of that, the dishes didn't arrive all together, which made the meal feel a little awkward. That said, when it did arrive, everything was hot and freshly prepared. The lamb vindaloo was advertised as spicy, but it wasn't spicy at all. The chicken curry also didn't have much spice, though it was still flavorful. Across all the dishes, the meat stood out as it was very tender and cooked well, which made each bite enjoyable. The service was extremely slow, and forgot our rice, and the food was mediocre at best, and extraordinarily expensive for the portion size. And honestly the lamb curry was inedible. Checked out Tandoori Flame last night after a coworker's recommendation and it was spot on! Located in a shopping center next to an Indian market and frozen yogurt. The inside was super clean with plenty of seating and the staff were very friendly and checked on us often. We ordered the Vegetable Samosas, Vegetable Pakora, Paneer Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Nothing felt greasy or watered down! It was a great meal all around. You can tell that a lot of love goes into what they are serving! I just wanted the dishes to magically refill once we were finished so I could keep eating! The homemade sauces that they provide were so light and good on everything - they need to bottle and sell them! I ordered takeout in Sept 2025. The estimated time to pick up food kept getting pushed back and pushed back. They even gave my food to someone else and I had to wait even longer. My food was finally finished almost an hour after the estimated time. Beyond that, I came home with the food only to find out they were missing items in my order. I am disappointed I paid over $60 for two entrees for this experience. I called them and was told I'd get a call back from the manager the next day, but nothing. I emailed that same evening, no response still after over a week. I emailed a second time, still nothing. Don't spend your money at this establishment. Not worth all of the money they are charging. The butter chicken and chicken tikka masala tasted very similar. It was good. The lady who took our order did not seem like she wanted to be there. Wish it was a more welcoming and friendly experience. Honestly, because of that, we most likely won't be back there. I would say 4.5/5 rounding up One of the best places for indian food in roseville for sure, their curries are excellent! I got butter chicken, lamb vindaloo, and garlic naan. It's 100% true that their curry is VERY heavy and very rich likely due to a lot of butter and cream which knocked me out clean afterwards into a food coma Service wise, they have a small dining area which they serve you in that could honestly use more comfortable seating, kinda hurt my butt after a few minutes on those chairs. In the past, the guy who served me was very attentive and checked on us regularly. Only downside is that they do not give you water for free, they only have bottled water that you gotta pay for. Pricing is what you'd expect from most indian places around roseville so nothing crazy expensive here. Worth a try if you're getting takeout! read more

Excellent health ratings. The only downside of this place is both my Wife and myself noticed the food is very hard to digest. Not sure if they are using a particularly cheap oil that is causing indigestion or if it's the spice blend. Management please look into your ingredients bring used. Since the food is hard to digest for unknown reasons, both my wife and I had severe indigestion after eating here, we would not return. We have not had such an experience anywhere else for Indian cuisine, so we are puzzled what in your ingredients is causing it. read more

This place presents like a fast food joint with the exception of the food taking a really long time to be served. With that said? The gal working was super sweet and helpful and the food was yummy. A lot of Chicken Tikka Masala dishes were ordered. One mild and three spicy, unfortunately the spicy was not spicy (at all) but the flavor was good. Two other veg dishes were ordered, Korma and Paneer. They were both tasty and enjoyable. Two orders of Garlic Nan were placed and an order of Pani Puri. Again, the dishes were very flavorful, and the service was friendly. Sure, we would come back! If you are on the fence, give it a try! read more

Place seemed pretty clean and friendly service. It's fast food style where you order up front and pay then take a seat. We ordered a few items like chili chicken, fish pakoras, butter naan, saag and lamb kabob. Naan was thin, soft, buttery and a little flaky which was nice. Fish pakora's batter and spices were really flavorful but I was hesitant about which fish was used so if that's a concern for some you might be wary. Flavor profile was great and wasn't oily. Saag was I think spinach rather than mixed with mustard leaves and under seasoned. I was glad it wasn't spicy as requested. Chili chicken was a wet version which we found meh. Lamb kabobs seemed seasoned fine but something about the meat was weird-a little soft and squishy so not sure if just not cooked all the way or not as fresh. A neighbors butter chicken looked good but since we didn't have it unsure how it tasted. We were disappointed by the taste as we miss Mughal Indian or Pakistani flavored cooking and so didn't find it satisfying. I was hoping the vegetarian dish would be well flavored but we didnt find it so. For the indiscriminate customer or if you aren't very familiar with the cuisine you might enjoy this. I happened to be nearby at the Galleria and in the mood for Indian food. This place was recommended through Yelp, so I decided to take a chance and I don't regret it one bit! There is plenty of parking nearby even with a Starbucks in the same parking structure. I ordered a mild Chana Masala, which comes with rice. You get hit with so much flavor coming through. After trying this place, I've noticed no other Indian spot hits the same in terms of flavor. This honestly might be the best rice I've ever tried. Stopped by for lunch the other day as I live nearby. Tried the Butter Chicken, Tiki Masala, and Garlic Nhan. We chose mild for the spice level on both and found the Tiki Masala to be lacking in flavor when compared to the butter chicken. The garlic main was delicious, tasted hand made and authentic. It was good when dipped into the curries. The one concern I had when picking up my order was that the rice may have been re-heated via microwave while in the to-go styrofoam container. I may be mistaken about what I saw as I didn't confirm with the employee about it before walking out. I finally made it there this weekend and placed my order for the Butter Chicken. This is a counter service restaurant and I decided to dine in. Took some time for the food to be served because they are made to order. It was served piping hot. Just as I expected the food was delicious. My order came with basmati rice and bottled water. The sauce mixture of spices, cream and butter was a smooth gravy that was mild in flavor and slightly sweet... the aromatic golden chicken pieces was delicious. The amount of rice and the dish was just right. The restaurant is super clean and the employees were friendly. Asked me if everything was good and recommended a few other popular dishes to me. I mentioned that I would bring my hubby here next time. Located at the Arbor View Village (near Lollicup) but closer to the Drive-Thru Starbucks on Pleasant Grove. Yum! I stopped into Tandoori Flame after seeing they made the Top 50 Places to Eat in the Sacramento Area for 2022. I love Indian food so I was super excited to try a new great spot. First off, super easy to find parking in the plaza parking lot. Always a plus! I walked in and ordered takeout Vegetable Samosas, Chicken Tikka Masala and naan. The restaurant was open, bright and clean and not too busy. I was in around 2-2:30pm and only one table had people dining and talking but a few others stopped for pickup orders while I waited for food. They were super nice and offered me water while I waited for food and it didn't take too long for it to come out. The food was really yummy, although I ordered my Chicken Tikka Masala medium spicy because I wasn't sure how spicy it would be and I definitely could bump it up next time. If you're in the area and looking for some tasty food this should be on your list. I'm excited to try more and try their spicier dishes too! read more
