But for the same price, we can get so much more at places like Oriental Market and just as delicious to satisfy our craving for Filipino food. Parking was easy with plenty of spaces out front, service was great and friendly. Seating space? Extremely limited, especially if you have a party of 5 or more. Best to order for takeout food which brings me to my main point - if I have to order Filipino takeout because of extremely limited seating, I'd rather simply get a la carte elsewhere and pay a lot less or hit up Rocklin area where there are restaurants that serve fantastic boba drinks with fantastic Filipino dishes for much more affordable prices! Is the food incredible? Yes! Will it satisfy your craving for Filipino food? Absolutely! Would I return? No, I wouldn't, to be perfectly honest. Regardless, I feel it's worth a try if you haven't yet but just be mindful of the highs and lows. It's not all great, but it's not all bad. Mediocre and average, at the very least, given all factors. Do I have high expectations of Filipino restaurants? You bet I do!

Stopped by Buckhorn for the first time for Father's Day lunch. Great joint for pretty good BBQ!…read more Buckhorn is an order at the counter and get a number type place. The line was long when we came in, but moved quickly. The bigger problem is that there aren't nearly enough tables for how many folks were dining in. We did end up finding a table on their patio- which is always a win for our family. For about $70, we got two kids' meals (one slider and one chicken tenders), a shareables order of the tri-tip tacos (that my wife ate as her entree), and a two-protein platter with the pulled pork and tri-tip. They asked how we wanted our tri-tip cooked, and we answered medium, but all of the tri-tip came out well done. The flavors of everything were good, though, and the portions are substantial. The kids' meals are a great value. The two-protein platter was enough for two meals if you wanted it to be. The tacos were filled generously and were very tasty. I enjoyed the coleslaw- though I read some others find it bland. I did not think that at all. I really enjoyed the selection of sauces available at Buckhorn. They have a pump-your-own-sauce station with several types of BBQ sauce, horseradish sauce, ketchup, and spicy ranch. Yum! My favorite was the mustard-based BBQ sauce. Overall, I would totally return to Buckhorn. I could probably lean 4 stars here, but I think it's a better spot for BBQ than many others in my area and in the Roseville area that I've tried. It's certainly made my Roseville area visit list.

First off, the format is order at counter and either pick up togo or get a number to have the food brought to you. Inside seating was clean but w a cafeteria vibe. They have what could loosely be described as a bar completely unmanned on a Saturday afternoon. Fortunately we weren't interested that today. So very meh. The service at the counter was very pleasant then you go into make your own sodas. My wife had the tri-tip burger and her tri-tip was grisly. I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was Sahara dry. Even generous amounts of bbq sauce couldn't save it. Bbq sauce not bad though. Cole slaw for the sando was also pretty good. The highlight of the visit were the OG fries. Huge plate suitable for sharing across 2-4 people...If we ever went back, it would be for cold beers and sharing a plate of fries....

I had already looked over the menu and knew I wanted to try the Pork Belly Sisig. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. I placed my order and added a spontaneous milk tea with boba, 'cause why not live a little. Food and drink came out quickly. The pork belly sisig was great, and consisted of shredded browned pork belly with a side of pickled veggies over a bed of rice, with a fried egg and two pieces of lumpia, garnished with a touch of diced white onion. Very tasty. I ordered the Jasmine Tea boba. Pro-tip: you can ask for less sweet on the teas. He customized my milk tea at 50% sweetness. I look forward to coming back to try the pork adobo, order more lumpia and try the spam musubi. It's been awhile since I've had good Filipino food! I grew up in a very culturally diverse area and missed these dishes, so I'm stoked to have this available right down the street from my work. It is a substantial meal consisting of perfectly grilled steak, vegetables, rice, savory sauce and a fried egg. The steak was amazing, very flavorful, tender, high quality meat. The vegetables - tomatoes, peppers, onions and (perhaps an abundance of) French fries were cooked just right. The sauce was very flavorful. The rice was a good foil to that. The egg probably makes it authentic but was not the stand out. I would order this again in a second. I took half of it home. My wife had the pork belly appetizer and plantain side. She raved about it, especially the plantains. The sauce with the plantains was perfect. The sauce with the pork belly was quite spicy and she replaced it with another sauce that they had. She again would re-order this. Service was great - educational and polite. It was efficient, though the restaurant was a lull period so can't comment on busy times. The space was inviting. There is indoor and outdoor seating. They have a wine and beer bar, but not a full liquor license. We found this a delight and it will be one of our go to restaurants in mid town Sacramento.

It had more of a risotto consistency, but the seafood was still tasty. The lomo saltado, though, was on point! Great seasoning, tender meat, and the fries were exactly what I wanted. One surprise was finding out this location doesn't have beer on draft. Apparently, the Midtown location does, so we may have to check that one out next time. Overall, a solid Peruvian spot and definitely somewhere I'd come back to try more dishes.

There are plenty of food options here I wouldn't say everything is top quality but for $25 including all you can eat crab I think that's a great bargain. They don't have a lot coming out all at once so you may have to wait or come back to see if it's been replenished. They do have sushi here, but I'll be quite honest, not the greatest quality . Plenty of Chinese food options from calms , oysters, fried fish , beef broccoli, honey walnut shrimp, basically if panda express has it you can get it here. Most of the Asian food is mediocre as I would still choose panda express if I had the option. Service is friendly, definitely a more upscale looking Asian buffet than most I have been to. They even allow customers to purchase a to go box. I would come back here just for the crabs since I can't find anywhere else in the Sacramento area that offers crab legs besides the hard rock Casino, but that's twice the price of here.

It also wasn't very busy, so we wanted to give it a fair shot. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill fast once we sat down to eat. The sweet-and-sour soup was extremely oily and had an off taste. More concerning, nearly all of the food on the buffet was cold. The only thing remotely warm was the soup. When we brought it up, the server explained they were transitioning between lunch and dinner and offered for us to wait while they replaced the food. I appreciate the offer, but that doesn't excuse having a buffet--especially with seafood, poultry, and meat--sitting out cold. That's not just unappetizing, it raises serious health concerns. We chose not to stay and eat. Again, the staff was polite, but food safety and quality just weren't there.
