The milk tea itself was very good, I fancy myself a milk tea enthusiast (although, I've been told otherwise by others) and thought it was of good quality. The location itself seems pretty big and spacious, I went a little bit before closing so there weren't slot of people. It seems like a good spot to get some work/studying done or just socializing with friends. I happen to notice that they have board games so I imagine people come and hang out for that as well. If you hire your employees to sit in the kitchen with their phone and not knowing any customer outside waiting, you better put a bell or something in the front. The second girl finally came out with attitude on her face and got my order down. She told me they don't have enough change. I'm a bit surprised that this place got low reviews, but the drinks are honestly not bad at all. I came here before I went to do my nails to check it out. I order the Apple Tonic with Lychee Jelly and my boyfriend got the Uji Matcha Salt Milk Foam with boba. The Uji Matcha was quite delicious, we got 100% sweet, but it wasn't too sweet at all and the milk foam went super well with the drink. My Apple Tonic was very refreshing and not overly sweet. I visited this place recently and I was so disappointed. I came here before when it was HiTea and I really enjoyed their drink and the puff they specialize in. Before coming here on my recent visit, I checked it opens at 11am and I arrived just a few minutes before 12. I walked inside and there were 2 people preparing for the day. I asked if they were opened just in case I read the hours wrong and they said they were. I ordered Roasted Oolong Milk tea and it took them 10 minutes to make a simple drink. This is definitely one of the better tapioca places in Chinatown. The place is clean and the decor is super cute. I love the lighting and the gold wallpaper with the cute drawings. There are tables and benches to sit at, which seem really nice and cozy. They have everything you need for drink option and toppings. I started with a hot lemon green tea and it tastes delicious. The lady at the cash register recommended what sugar level I should get so the tea wouldn't be too sour and she was right because it was spot on. I'm really excited to try more of their drinks. This place is so cute!! I love the decor and the vibe of this place. Very modern and hip, with cool music playing. Also, very clean! The prices seem about reasonable. The place is best known for teas. I can actually taste the fermented tea leaf and not dealing with the artificial crap I find at other spots. However I do like the dark dining area with the huge TV and ESPN showing. But kids also hang out there socializing with others and play 13-card poker. There are many similar drink spots in Chinatown. I was craving some Jasmine milk tea, so I looked up the nearest milk tea places. Tancca came up, and I thought might as well give it a shot. Once I finally got to order my drink, I got Jasmine green tea with pudding (nowhere on the menu it said that it would come with matcha). As they called my number, I got to the counter & saw that my drink was green, so I thought this must be a mistake. So I asked the lady why my drink was green? She replied that their Jasmine milk tea comes with matcha. At that point I asked if I could get it without matcha (pretty basic right?). She stated that she couldn't because its in their "policy". After listening to her pretty much yelling that it was her policy, she kindly replaced it for a cherry blossom milk tea. The cherry blossom milk tea was bland and the milk taste overpowered the cherry blossom tea taste. The whole interaction left a really bad taste in my mouth, almost as bad as their milk tea. As a boba fanatic, I've got to say that I love this place. My personal favorite is the Passion Fruit Drink. It is pretty easy earning points here if you check in often, so it makes up for price. I... think Boba Guys beats HiTea, BUT HiTea isn't a bad place to try if you're in the neighborhood. BF and I only stopped by since it was a walkable distance from hotel. I did hear Boba Guys has a huge line for drinks though (I can also verify this experience wise since I went to BOTH LOCATIONS!!!). So HiTea is a nice place to go as a sub Waffle Fries are a good small app to eat while hanging out. Folks were very nice here. I really enjoy tancca! The drinks here are so strong and delicious! I ordered the uji matcha with cheese foam which was really good. It's a really filling and heavy drink so I recommend drinking this when you're hungry or want a heavier dessert/drink. They only have one size here but I think it's a good size for how heavy the drinks are. You can tell they use real matcha and a lot of it too!! The atmosphere is cute and they have this cool looking graffiti wall! I highly recommend coming here and trying the drinks. The service is good, the workers are all very friendly however it takes a while for the drinks to come even when it wasn't crowded. This is definitely up there for the weakest tea I've ever had. I got the roasted oolong tea at 50% sweet. I usually like my tea to taste like tea, which is why I get it less sweet so I can taste it and not just sugar but this drink tasted like straight up water. It tasted as if they had a cup of hot water and dipped a tea bag into the cup for 5 seconds and pulled it out. The tea definitely did not steep long enough for me to taste much of the roasted oolong flavor. My friends got some lemon tea drink and it tasted the same way like mine but with a hint of lemon. Probably save to say I will not be returning to this location. The staff was very friendly and was more than happy enough to adjust the drinks but it still wasn't to my satisfaction. read more

He ordered a taro boba which was a cup of milk with a scoop of taro paste at the bottom. Just milk and a scoop of taro paste. We tried mixing the paste into the milk but it would not mix. We'd try to drink the plain milk but kept getting taro paste stuck in the straw. I ordered a Oreo slush which was very watery. It tasted like water slushee with bits of Oreo. Love this new boba place! Definitely a solid 4 stars. They are currently running a Valentine's Day promo- buy any 2 drinks and get 25% off your purchase! All drinks here average $3-4 dollars, which is reasonable in SF. They do not have as much drink options as other boba places around. Their menu pretty much consist of milk tea, tea (with milk foam/puff cream), tonic drinks (carbonated), and blended drinks. You can adjust the sweetness and ice level for this place! They also use FiveStars as their reward system so don't forget to sign in! I opted for the White Peach Oolong tea with sea salt milk foam (50% sweet) and got to try the Passionfruit Snowy (100% sweet) as well. The bitter tea taste was apparent in my drink, which is great for tea lovers! I do prefer some sweetness for my tea though so I would go for full sweetness if you don't really like strong tea. The drink itself along with the milk foam was great! You can definitely taste the tea taste. The Passionfruit Snowy, which is pretty much a slush with milk added, was actually really good too! They have passionfruit bits and seeds in there and wasn't too sweet at 100% sweetness. They even have cheese foam as their option for the teas!
