New boba shop in Chinatown? Yes please! It's pretty large--more seating than most boba shops in the area. It's bright and airy and most of the tables have outlets (and there is free wifi.) I've been waiting 15 minutes for one tea latte, and the young workers look frustrated, confused and disinterested. Nobody is manning the register so the line is now building. Got the latte. I stumbled upon this spot by chance. It's a casual posh looking boba place in the heart of China town SF. It's a cool hang out spot after a day of exploring and whatnots. Here's my take on this spot Drinks: 4/5 stars. They got great selections from milk tea to fruit tea. They have usual snacks like egg waffles and whatnots too. I got matcha smoothies with matcha foam on top. I also got mixed fruits tea and they put REAL sliced fruits into the tea. It's refreshing after a day of shopping around China town. Ambiance: 4/5 stars. It's a quaint little spot with lots of modern decor. They have very Instagramable corners. One girl was getting her insta pics on. I think It'd be cute for first dates too or a casual hangout spot. Service: 3.5/5. It's a meh for me. I used self served kiosk. The cashier was distracted by his phone the entire time and more interested in whatever going on in the phone than being present. You can grab a some boba tea and enjoy it at a public space which is the oldest in San Francisco. This space is in the heart of Chinatown at Portsmouth Square Park. On a San Francisco Chinatown stroll next to one of my favorite public places in the city I ended up getting some great tea. Although Don Juan de la matcha was on matcha mode I decided to get some great tea at Great Tea. Inside there are self ordering digital kiosks and tables inside. It has modern layout and I decided to go with the Mango Sago because they use Champagne Mangos ( I wonder if it has alcohol?). The Mango Sago was a bit sweet and juicy and had lots of flavor. Each drop was delicious. This place also sells desserts such as waffles . Great Tea is the answer to what was missing to enjoy a refreshing moment at Portsmouth Square Park. After going to Great Tea and adding everything to your order on the self ordering " digital kiosk cart "grab your drinks and walk to a public space with has it's first San Francisco "start" it's located a few steps from Great Tea at Portsmouth Square Park but in Chinatown it's in the "heart" of the neighborhood with lots of rich history in San Francisco for its food and it's "art" When it comes San Francisco history it won't be something you can "erase "even if San Francisco and AI is growing at a rapid "pace " because its a one of a kind city a different kind of" place" where you can enjoy roof top access at POPOs an acronym for "Privately Owned Public Open Space" read more

New boba tea shop in Chinatown. It is next to the parking. I saw it while walking around to find place for dinner. It is quite sizeable boba shop. Interior is nice snd clean. It has some seating area. You order using the kiosk touch screen. There are pllenty of drink to choose from. You can choose milk tea or fruit. Topping seems limited to boba and fruit flavor popping boba. I ordered fruit tea with 25% sweetness. It was good and glad I choose 25% as it it sweet enough. They use fresh fruit which is good. This corner store space has been vacant for quite a while. My fondest memories were in my pre-teen years when it was a snack spot that made western style fast foods (burgers, fries, and a bomb spaghetti), a perfect after school place to visit after a long day of classes. After a neighborhood favorite on Stockton Street (Frosty's) closed, this was my spot. Fast forward and the slide show will show that this has been a candy shop, a small furniture store, and even an art goods store. Starting in late 2025, contractors worked on this space and the windows were covered with paper. In early February, the signs started going up and the windows were revealed to show a modern tea store. Walking by several times until I saw the doors open but a sign saying that they were doing a training session for the staff. My visiting friends were in Chinatown for errands on a Wednesday before meeting me for dinner a few blocks away. Finishing early, I suggested that we meet here. They were already seated at a table towards the back of the space near the bookcase. Already having drinks, I walked to the counter and placed my order. I enjoyed the flavors more than the peach since there were two fruits here. The passionfruit flavor was subtle and there were pineapple chunks on the bottom of the cup. Unlike that Taiwan based tea competitor, the pineapple chunks were on the bland side rather than sweet. The store was mostly full with only two open tables inside when I got there. The cashier was friendly and helpful though I misunderstood the grand opening promotion. Thinking that I could order two different flavors and enjoy the buy one get one free promotion, I ended up buying four cups of tea, two of each. I gifted my extra peach tea to another dinner guest while bringing two of the passion fruit pineapple home. The other minor hiccup was the number calling system for expediting orders. There was some confusion as it took a while for my order to be ready (ten minutes?). Since they have multiple locations, I'm guessing it's only a matter of time for them to iron this out. I'll likely get a frozen drink my next trip. 3.5 stars but rounding up for them being brand new here. read more

I ordered four drinks, including a jasmine fresh milk tea with less sugar and less ice. When I first got it, it was extremely sweet and tasted like pure sugar syrup. I asked them to remake it, and they agreed. However, the second version tasted very bland, almost like water. When I brought it up again, the cashier seemed annoyed, made a face, and grabbed the drink roughly. Instead of fixing it properly, they handed us a cup of sugar syrup and told us to fix it ourselves. NOT Great Tea. (Having cramps writing this review) Went in this evening after passing by the lovely interior and displays filled with fresh fruit & juices. What we didn't realize as we passed into the well-lit cafe was that we would be in for a world of disappointment, and stomach pain. After looking through the selection of teas and smoothies, we both decided to share a mango smoothie with boba. What we received was far from a smoothie and dare I say - it was the worst smoothie & boba I've ever had. The smoothie was watery, not smooth nor creamy as one would imagine and the boba was tough and somehow stale. The only redeeming factor of the beverage was that there were real mango pieces, but aside from that, the actual smoothie tasted like mango terpenes you would inhale from a person vaping on the sidewalk. Maybe I had a particularly bad experience but if I could, I would pay the $8.15 I paid for the drink to not consume another smoothie from here again. read more

Taste like water. How dare they can say their tea is just that light flavored! And their staff who was making drinks has no manner to the customer. And she said "how can she know without tasting? " in front of the customer. So rude. Don't understand why would the owner let an untrained employee to start her official shift.
