    Iced Kopi Gula Aren

First time trying Indonesian coffee! I've been here twice now and it's great. They have cool flavors and have really friendly workers. Pricing is slightly on the higher side but similar to other coffee shops ($7+). But they do have larger portions. I will say the coffee flavor itself, is a little bit more on the subtle side but very smooth and good. I have tried their Kopi Pandan and Kopi Gula Aren. Both are great! Next time, I got to try the pastries bc I heard they are very good! Ambiance: It's a small shop with some seating inside a couple benches outside.

Don Juan de la Matcha enjoys matcha and coffee from different regions of the world. It seems matcha can be found all around the world in unexpected places. There is a place where you can find matcha from a place that has over 17,000 islands and is the world largest island country. You can find this Indonesian coffee in SF on Lombard by Van Ness on the block which has four hotels on it . This place is called Kopiku ( in Indonesian means my coffee) Indonesian Coffee. On a Spring stroll where the tourist trap themselves at night on Lombard street at Hotels and Motels for some sleep and lounging. Lombard street has the most hotels and motels concentrated in SF from Van Ness all the way to Baker street. This is a place Don Juan has frequent many times over the years. Inside Kopiku Indonesian Coffee they offer hot and cold coffee and expresso. I decided to try the Ice Pandan Matcha. It was crisp, smooth and not too sweet. It's just the way Don Juan de la Matcha likes it . They also have avocado coffee along with tasty crispy Kaya toast which is not too flakey like some in SF. Come to the Marina District on Lombard streets when it comes to hotels and motels in SF they have the "most" of hotels "host" some wake up to Don Juan de la matcha favorite Pandan Matcha and smell the espresso and java "roast"and enjoy something crispy and little flakey in SF like Kaya "toast" Matcha has reached all over the world and different many "region" for the Lombard hotels some came through last week to watch the SF Giants games at Oracle Park for the" opening season " you will see different people come visit for the March Madness NCAA basketball games attended by Alumni's and some "Collegian" some go to grab coffee and matcha at Kopiku with flavors that are "Indonesian"

Loved the iced kopi pandan and pandan bolu! The pandan works so well with the coffee and both flavours are delicious. The pandan bolu was soft and springy, lovely cake that isn't too sweet. I need to come back and try the rest of their menu. The staff are friendly and I was able to order and receive everything pretty quickly. Somewhat limited seating as the place is kinda small.

Kopi pandan and earl grey matcha

Came here on a Tuesday and though there was an abundance of people, my husband and I were able to get our orders in really quick. The barista was friendly and got our drinks to us in a timely manner. She even checked to make sure our drinks were made to our preference which was very sweet of her to do. Kopi Pandan with extra pandan flavor (5/5)- pandan is typically very subtle and friends have told me they wished there was more pandan flavor in their drinks here so I requested for more of the pandan. The pandan was so fragrant and mixed well with the espresso. Earl grey matcha (5/5)- they had a sign highlighting this drink and the barista said that this was a new item they were trying to incorporate in their menu. The earl grey wasn't overpowered by the matcha and it wasn't too sweet. My husband loved it! Mushroom truffle pastry (4/5)- the pastry had crunchy outer ridges but covered a soft delicate croissant like bread. The only thing is that there was not truffle flavor. Slightly disappointed by the filling but very satisfied with the pastry itself. Love this coffee shop and can't wait to try their other items.

Love the kopi pandan. It's not too sweet but not bitter either. It's the perfect balance. The inside is a little small but there's still tables and seats available. The staff is super friendly and will answer questions about the menu.

Cute Indonesian coffee shop. There was no line at 8:30am on a Sunday. We got the kopi tubruk which was fantastic, and the kaya toast was also good. It's a small place with just a few seats inside, but the vibe is super chill & inviting. The staff were incredibly friendly and even came over to chat with us. The owner's Maltese dog, Bulu, was sitting in the corner of the shop and was absolutely adorable - so happy we got to pet her!

3.5 stars. I like trying different matcha shops in the city and found a spot on Yelp. I decided to stop by an hour before they closed and there was only one customer inside. I like the minimalist aesthetic. I don't think I've ever been to an Indonesian coffee shop and not really sure what the difference is compared to other places. I'm a big fan of pandan matcha so decided to order that. I think I only waited less than five minutes before it was ready. I could taste more of the pandan but not so much of the matcha. It was good, but not something I would order again since I like to taste both. Surprised that there wasn't an adjustment for the level of sweetness. I don't drink coffee, but I'm curious about the taste of the kopi pandan. Someone please let me know.

We came for an afternoon pick me up at 3:30 pm on a Saturday and there was a short line that gave us enough time to look at their cute menu on the wall. The pictures were so helpful showing the menu options with what ingredients are in each and if a drink could be hot/iced. We ordered and got our drinks within 10 minutes. Pandan Matcha - This one was our favorite. It leans more on the sweeter side but it was perfectly balanced with the grassy matcha and I loved the aromatics that came from the pandan. A great mix of earthiness and creaminess. Matcha Latte - The grassy matcha came through in this as well but with only milk, it didn't have enough sweetness overall. Their Indonesian flavored drinks definitely stood out for me and I would come back for their pandan matcha and to try some of their other flavored drinks!

Such a charming café with a wonderful selection of Indonesian-style drinks. The space is small, but the ambiance is thoughtfully curated and the menu is clearly laid out. My friend and I both ordered the pandan matcha latte, one hot and one iced, and both were fantastic. Pandan can sometimes get lost in drinks, but here the flavor was fragrant and complemented the matcha beautifully. Everything felt very intentional and well balanced. I would love to come back and try some of their espresso drinks.

    Pandan Matcha, Chai Masala

The drinks were pretty good! Unfortunately, not my taste BUT I understand why it is so popular. I got a matcha pandan which was good on its own but I think I would prefer it a little sweeter. My mom got the chai masala and it had a good balance of spices. I personally don't enjoy chai too much, but my mom loved it! I did come during a rainy day and the store was packed! It didn't look like there was any designated parking in front of the door, plus it is on a hill so parking options are limited.

I love pandan and Kopiku's cute artsy menu! I liked their bench seating against the wall; it utilized their smaller space very well. Parking was harder to find, but it's expected for the area. Iced Kopi Pandan ($7.55): This was pandan with milk and espresso! Perfectly sweetened by the pandan and I chugged it too fast sigh Kopi Klepon ($7.75): Same as above but with palm sugar and coconut cream! Definitely more coconut forward if you like that. Iced Pandan Matcha ($7.55): On the sweeter side, but you can taste both the matcha and pandan! Great flavor combo The service was fast and friendly despite how busy it was. I will be back to try their food and lounge for longer!

Very milky latte; probably not for any espresso fiends but a refreshing and unique latte experience otherwise! The shop has a nice ambiance and staff were very friendly.

First time trying pandan coffee and I'm obsessed. This is the perfect cute coffee shop to stop by after hanging around the Palace of Fine Arts or Lombard Street. The baristas are so friendly and welcoming. I honestly wanted to try everything because the menu explains each drink and what goes into it, which I loved. I tried the Kopi Pandan and the Pandan Matcha. Both were so good and perfectly sweetened. I liked the matcha a little more since I'm a huge matcha lover, but the coffee was just as delicious. I will definitely be coming back whenever I'm in the area.
