I bought their soy bean pudding. That shit straight up had rocks in it (?!!!?!?) AND the syrup was watered down. I want my money back.

All of their products are made daily with NO preservatives; so they need to be consumed right away or they would turn bad!

If fresh tofu products are something you're craving, then you're in luck! At a strip mall on Valley…read moreBlvd with cramp parking is a business bustling with folks lined up and out the door. They've got a whole host of fine Vietnamese food, though my family and I enjoy stopping by for the fried tofu and tofu pudding. It seems other folks who visit often order in advance for pick up. Recently I ordered six servings of tofu pudding. The man behind the counter spoke with me using Cantonese, and once the order was placed worked deftly to package all the pudding into plastic to-go containers along accompanied with six smaller containers full of ginger syrup. Expertly, the plastic bags also had a cardboard as a base for the containers to minimize the chance of spillage. When I mentioned wanting to use a credit card, he balked at the idea since there's a surcharge, but I laughed and said it was okay. Visit early since lots of items are sold out after a while.

I usually just toss it in the air fryer at home, make a quick nuoc cham, and it turns into a really solid snack or light meal. They also sell a bunch of premade Vietnamese foods similar to what you'd find at other Vietnamese spots around the SGV. I also sometimes get their fried bananas. They add sesame seeds into the batter which I like because it gives it a nice flavor, but they can be a bit soggy. One thing I've noticed is if you come later in the day the tofu is usually sold out, so it's better to come earlier if you want it. Customer service here isn't the friendliest, but the tofu is really good so I keep coming back. 5 stars for the tofu.

I usually place an order through their Instagram DMs a few weeks in advance for holidays. You can ask for their excel spreadsheet and they'll send it to you with prices and this same spreadsheet updates every year! There is also a little deposit for holiday pick up depending on the size of your order. Their sashimi platter is beautiful, fresh, delicious, and always a party favorite. I usually get: Salmon, Toro, Yellowtail, Scallops, and Oysters. If available, uni trays and fresh wasabi (which can also be picked up at HMart). Scallops are my favorite but every piece of fish is so good and cut perfectly. Parking and pick up is easy. It is a very small store front with one party inside at a time and pay at the counter. Highly recommend for party platters for fresh sashimi.

Prepped in a party tray with ice bags to go. 2.0 lb salmon: The cut had even lines of fat and meat. 1.5 lb tuna: Personally, I liked the tuna more than the salmon. It was so soft. Pretty much better than sugar fish's tuna. Ginger, wasabi and misc are purchase only.

I went there thinking I'm just going to buy 2 items max. Wrong! This place, unlike many places around the area takes credit cards. There goes all my money! Lol. I ended up with a basketful of food. I just couldn't help it. I ate them, not all, as soon as I got home and each one of them was delicious and authentic. I know this will be a stop for me whenever I visit LA. They're just that good.

They really keep the authenticity and quality at a high level. The food is amazing and every dish we have tried has been consistently good. It can get a little pricey if you order a bunch of dishes with a group but it is completely worth it for the quality you are getting. One nice bonus is their loyalty program. If you spend over 50 dollars they give you a stamp card and once you collect ten stamps you get around 20 dollars off or a free dish. Definitely a good incentive to keep coming back. If you are looking for authentic Indonesian food in the Rosemead area I honestly do not think there is a better option than Medan Kitchen. Highly recommend giving it a try.
