I've been coming here for a very long time. Probably since I was like eight or nine years old. Whenever I'm in the area I remember to stop by and give them a try. This place is been here for a very long time serving up the local neighborhood. Every time you pass by there's a long line but it moves fast. They do a really good job here. We have been coming here for many years and we continue to support them. Food: I've got a number of their treats here. I can't even count or tell you how many I've gotten but as of late we've tried some of their snowcones. Nachos, hot dogs, etc. I really cannot go wrong with any of their snowcones. Flavors and I really enjoy them. They have a very extensive menu from corn, to snow cold to nachos the sodas the popcorn, candy, you name it they have it. Service is fast and friendly and they do practice social distancing which is good. Parking is a little tight. But the line moves fast to the parking close. If you haven't been here I suggested giving it a try. I really like this please I am barely reviewing it.

Was hoping to get a mangonada as this establishment came up on Yelp when searching, but they didn't have any. I ended up ordering a mango raspa with chamoy. Unfortunately, it didn't taste all that great and left me seeking my original request - a mangonada.

Ran across this spot on the way to buy dessert from a bakery and had to stop. I am a sucker for snow cones and wanted to give this a try. The ice isn't the smoothest ever, but it's good. The syrup could also be stronger. However - I think these snow cones are perfect for the price. I haven't found a snow cone this size, with this level of flavor, for under $2. My 4 star review is largely based on the price, because I do believe you get more than what you pay for here.

We ordered the mangonada and fruit salad... not my favorite. The mangonada was extremely frozen and hard to eat. No mango chunks.. just a frozen icy with a bit of chamoy on top. The fruit salad was not ripe enough. All around.. not the best. Pretty disappointed because we came in HANGRY and still weren't impressed. So.. if there is a line, prepare to wait.

This place goes way back! Can't believe is still here after 20 years of not going. Highly recommend this place. The raspas have Amazing taste. They don't skip cheese with the Nacho's.

Love this little snack stand. They have snow cones and typical Mexican snacks. I like that they're not stingy with the toppings- our nachos were well drenched with melted cheese. They have ample parking but I would assume it gets pretty packed when it's busy. There are only 4 picnic tables so some people eat in their car. Only con, I didn't see a bathroom.

Still lovin' Tampico. I'm gonna have to start coming here a good one-to-two times per week. I just realized that they have SHAVED ice - soft, fluffy, shaved ice. But they have more than just snocones (from artificial and natural flavors): *CHEETOS Pies. We've all heard of Frito Pies ... and Dorito Pies ... but Tampico took it one step further and offer Cheetos Pies. *I still love the liquados. I enjoyed a banana shake last week after a workout. Doubt it was low cal, but it was so damn good. Banana, cinnamon. Thick and cold. *Fruit cups are ginormous and topped with lime juice and Lucas (if that's your thing) And it's still dirt cheap. Bring the kids, your date or just yourself and spend just a few dollars a person on simple summer snacks. Nachos, hot dogs and churros included.

Fruit cocktail 3/5 It was good, wish they had mangoes in it. Mangonado 4/5 It really liked it same as before wished there was chunks of mangoes Elote 5/5 It's the best thing in the world. Creamiest corn in a cup and good flavor. Trust me places have messed up on Elotes which is ridiculous. Overall will def come back for elotes and maybe the other ice drinks like tamarind

Elotes and mangonada is very good here and reasonably priced. Long line but they're pretty quick to get your order out.

That alone made the experience feel thoughtful and welcoming. They are also open late, which I loved. I had already dined in the area, so this ended up being the perfect post dinner treat. I have been here before, but it had been a long time, and it was great to return and enjoy it again. The ambience was warm and inviting, and the overall environment made it easy to relax and enjoy the moment. I ordered a kid's cup, and it was honestly the perfect amount. Anything larger would have been too much for me, so the price point felt very fair for the portion and quality. I also tried the macaron and the tea. Both were fine but nothing standout for me. I have had better macarons and better tea elsewhere, and as someone who really appreciates good tea, it was decent but not something I would go back for specifically. That said, the gelato alone is absolutely worth returning for and even making a drive for. The space itself is very small and cozy, more of a boutique style spot. It is ideal for individuals, couples, or very small groups. Larger groups may prefer to enjoy their treats outdoors around the plaza and then move along, as this is more of a grab and go or short stay kind of place. Overall, I would definitely be back. The gelato is truly the star here and well worth it.

You may order online, in shop through a tablet, or with a person at the register. We used the register because we did not see the tablet and did not want to order ahead online. The ladies who helped us on our visit were very nice. You get a number and they call it when your made to order food is ready. We did not have to wait long. There was medium to low noisy ambiance. It was deserted when we arrived, but they have relatively loud background music. While we were eating it got pretty crowded. Mostly a lot of young people in the middle of the day on a Monday. The inside is small, seating both inside and outside are limited and close together. One lady was studying with her laptop, but there are no plugs. The breakfast sandwich is customizable. We got it on a croissant and with sausage. The eggs had a unique texture and the sandwich a unique flavor that we could not place, but both were very tasty. We also wanted a crepe, but we split the sandwich and it was sufficient. We also got a small mocha and a decaf, both were ok to good. We would definitely come back again and recommend that you give them a try for a crepe or sandwich. It is sad that a few Yelpers brought down their average to 3.8 stars due to petty and unjustified complaints such as having to pay for parking downtown. Other complaints are not the business' fault such as periodic homelessness--it is a downtown area in the US, other cities have far worse homelessness than Midtown Houston and we saw none on this visit. Additionally, complaints about takeout orders are mostly petty. Takeout is never as good as eating at the restaurant and so customers should adjust their expectations rather than dock the business stars. Nearly every recent Yelp review for this who ate at the restaurant gave 4-5 stars for food quality and customer service. Like most of the restaurants in this area it is a pretentious yuppy style place with specialized food. Although not usually our type of place (we like down to earth hole in the wall places with good food or taco truck type restaurants), Coco's is a solid 4 star restaurant for the type of place they are and they offered a 5 star experience on our visit. Again, recommend you give them a try if you are in the mood for crepes or sandwiches.

This was my first time coming here so my girlfriend and I ordered a fee items to get the full experience. We both ordered a beverage, i ordered a Vanilla Chai and she had the Caramel Cococcino. Both were very good. As for food, we ordered a Chicken Breakfast Sandwich(pictured), Cinnamon Roll Crepe (Pictured), Dulce De Leche Crepe with Almonds and Strawberries (pictured), and a strawberry cheesecake crepe (not pictured but looked like a normal crepe with powdered sugar). My favorites were the strawberry cheesecake and the cinnamon roll. My girlfriend's favorite was the Dulce De Leche and the strawberry cheesecake. Neither one of us cared for the breakfast sandwich too much, not sure if it was the wheat bread or the flavorless chicken. A couple of days ago we came back to try a couple of white mocha's and the breakfast sandwich again but with the Moroccan Sausage. We have determined-the breakfast sandwich will not be ordered anymore. But again the drinks were good. Overall, we will be back. The staff is nice, the drinks are good and so are the Crepes.
