In the past year, they moved to their own separate office building now, which is nice because it's easier to find their office and there is plenty of parking in the area. It's not even that much further down from their previous office building that they were in. Drew makes me feel so comfortable every time I come in. First of all, getting waxing done in general already feels uncomfortable and usually hurts quite a bit (if you have a low pain tolerance like me), but I feel like the time goes by so fast every time I come here. My appointments normally are about 15-20 minutes long, which doesn't feel like it at all. Drew is so easy to talk to, and I love catching up with her every time I come in. The technique that she uses also doesn't really hurt as bad compared to other waxing places I've been to before. I was offered a special on a Brazilian (buy one, get one free). Now, the follow-up session went better than I expected. The tech was mindful of the wax's temperature and asked me before starting. I've been burned before at a different shop, so this aspect of the experience made all the difference. The second time I was here I agreed to waxing my underarms for something like $22. She didn't hold my skin tight enough and it hurt more than it needed to. My skin was extra raw and still not smooth, no oil afterwards. I carry a roll on coconut oil so that helped me out. While I'm accustomed to waxing--creams, powder, strips, sugar, etc.--no aftercare counseling provided. They is a poster on the room's wall I was in that covers a few key points, but it is not enough information. The location is convenient. If that was all I had to say, my review would have a higher rating. However, I didn't feel like there was a high level of sanitation going on here. The little room we were in was very dimly lit and put me off a little bit at first, but I decided to be brave and stick it out. The woman who did my waxing used the same strip of cloth repeatedly until it could hold no more wax and only then changed it out. I also came to find that what I thought she used as hand sanitizer was actually just oil to get the excess wax off. Not exactly what I was hoping for in my waxing experience.
