Full description of the Family Platter that feeds (4-6 people)

This restaurant is AMAZING!! I've ordered food here a couple times before about 2 years ago. The overall customer service was EXCELLENT!! Servers, hosts/hostesses- all came around making sure everything was going ok, and it's not just checking in every table, I'm taking about genuine conversations, recommendations and even sharing moments with me and my kids. We were able to ask freely what was what on our platter and just the way any of them answered made us feel at home- as if we are family. The ambiance was bright enough to see everyone and everything but so relaxing!! They always have live karaoke kinda like an open mic type of thing!! I will definitely be coming back again- we just found another GREAT RESTAURANT to add to our favorite restaurant list Salamat for making us feel at home in a restaurant setting!!

We just ate at Tambayan food truck. We originally ate there when the Pumpkin Patch was next door to it so I was surprised to still find it there. It's near the corner of Thomas Rd & 99th. We ordered the BBQ plate and 6 additional Lumpia. We shared the meal which was enough for us. The prices were reasonable for a food truck. We will definitely be back.

Driving by, I noticed a bright green obstacle, and boy, was I excited to see it. A Filipino food truck! There's not many Filipino restaurants in the area, so I had to stop by. I learned that what once was a pop-up business is now a whole mobile operation! Meet the owners Joann and Denver, who were running the show, or in this case, kitchen. They gave me insight on everything they make and what people order the most. Super friendly peoples (as most Filipinos are). From their selections, you'll find all the culture favorites along with popular drinks and the infamlus Halo Halo (see menu). Today, I had the pleasure of ordering their Lychee juice to pair with their usual sell-out, Barbecue Pork. Fresh and delicious is all I can say! Even their dipping sauce (Sawsawan) is made with love. Craving some culture that's not on the menu? Ask and see if they're able to make a special catering request. Calling all Filipino food lovers! If you're in the area for lunch or dinner, stop by and hang out. After all, thats what their name is all about!

I ordered the pork adobo at the Phoenix Bao and Dumpling festival. Absolutely loved it, just wish the portion was a little bit larger.

If you love intestines grilled with fatty texture then this is a must for you. It's worth the adventure along with the famous filipino hotdog which most Asians who grew up eating as a kid. If you can handle eating kare-kare or Mexican menudo, then you'll love this fatty goodness. I did not know what pork bangs was until I asked what it was. Worth it! This alone gave this place a 5 star for street food. First Time Customer Via Uber Eats First Impressions This place is located at Highland Food Hub which is a commercial kitchen that has other food/beverage related businesses. Banana Turon- It's really good All Day Breakfast Combos- Good. Just for a quick meal. One egg not two. If you want something close to Midtown or Uptown filipino food this place is good. I haven't tried their other menu so I really can't say anything. As for value with two egg breakfast, stick with Halo-Halo on 35thAve+Dunlap $10.50. This place is closed on Mon or Tue. Check Highland Food Hub for hours. Their fried rice is huge(no photo). I still have to try it.

What a trip. I thought I was in some kind of a prank to be honest. When I finally made it inside the guy looked at me and asked if he can help me, I asked if theres any filipino food available lol, he said nuhhh u gotta go to so and so street its really close, which I replied, ok thanks, and left.

I had family visiting and they were craving halo halo on their last night here, so I found Backstreet Asia and drove them out here. We ordered the calamari first while waiting for dessert, but it was too salty. I had also ordered myself an ube ice cream while the other 3 got one halo halo for themselves -- all of which took a long time to come out, and we had to remind the servers twice about my ice cream. There weren't many other customers when we were there either. The ube ice cream ended up being 1 very small, stingy scoop, and my family was super disappointed when the halo halo arrived. It wasn't sweet at all and lacked many typical halo halo ingredients (the menu hadn't listed the ingredients so we assumed it would be there). When we asked for something to sweeten it like condensed milk, they said they didn't have it and only had syrup, which I found strange. We also had an uncomfortable interaction with the server too. In the end we brought the halo halo back home and added some of our own leche flan, buko pandan, and evaporated milk. It was disappointing we had to pay what we did for the taste we got. Maybe their other dishes are good, and I do think it's neat that they have a little setup for their occasional karaoke nights, but our experience with our orders and service were 2 stars
