Rice cakes NOTA Ube just purple dye
Valerie K.

Upon entering the bakery, everything was completely empty in the display window. There was just these purple rice cakes 5 for $8. The woman at the front was very nice but there seems to be zero structure. I asked to see if they still make Ube cakes to pre-order and she popped her head into the kitchen to ask the baker if she "feels" like making a Ube cake and their answer was no. The excuse was it's a new baker.. it was quite unprofessional. The ambiance did not feel very clean or organized it was very messy and unclean looking where I ordered from. Can not recommend

We found out by chatting to one of the workers that they have only been open for 6 months now. My boyfriend got the lechon kawali and absolutely loved it. We also ordered a couple of appetizers and the portions are very generous. We got lumpia, pot stickers, and rice. The lumpia was SO good and was fried to perfection. I dont even like pork but for some reason I find their lumpia having me wanting more! Pot stickers were also fried nicely and delicious. This is a mom and pop shop so id recommend coming in with a little patience especially when it is busy. It seems like only 2 people were running the front and they were doing their best to keep up. The restaurant definitely stays busy and I think that says a lot about a place. If you don't like pork definitely take a peek at the menu before visiting. Pork is a pretty common ingredient in Filipino culture. Expect a few dishes to be pork heavy.

The sisig lacked depth of flavor, and the BBQ platter had thick cuts of pork that were unfortunately not very tender, making them difficult to eat. My little one was still hungry and wanted to go somewhere else afterward. I really wanted to enjoy the experience, but based on this visit, I sadly can't recommend it. The service, however, was friendly, prompt, and attentive.

If you love intestines grilled with fatty texture then this is a must for you. It's worth the adventure along with the famous filipino hotdog which most Asians who grew up eating as a kid. If you can handle eating kare-kare or Mexican menudo, then you'll love this fatty goodness. I did not know what pork bangs was until I asked what it was. Worth it! This alone gave this place a 5 star for street food. First Time Customer Via Uber Eats First Impressions This place is located at Highland Food Hub which is a commercial kitchen that has other food/beverage related businesses. Banana Turon- It's really good All Day Breakfast Combos- Good. Just for a quick meal. One egg not two. If you want something close to Midtown or Uptown filipino food this place is good. I haven't tried their other menu so I really can't say anything. As for value with two egg breakfast, stick with Halo-Halo on 35thAve+Dunlap $10.50. This place is closed on Mon or Tue. Check Highland Food Hub for hours. Their fried rice is huge(no photo). I still have to try it.

Sketchy area, dark street, u go into a parking lot, almost looked like a food truck parking, then theres a structure, no windows, only doors to go into then u see a keypad to press and gets confused if youre in the right place lol. What a trip. I thought I was in some kind of a prank to be honest. When I finally made it inside the guy looked at me and asked if he can help me, I asked if theres any filipino food available lol, he said nuhhh u gotta go to so and so street its really close, which I replied, ok thanks, and left.

I encountered this lovely food truck again at my second time attending the Peoria Arts and Cultural…read moreFestival. I was so glad they made it out again as I had a great experience the last time. I waited about 30 minutes between standing in line to picking up my order. It was reasonable given the large crowd at this event. Their menu was slightly different than what I remembered on my first visit but nonetheless, I ended up ordering the pork adobe plate and lumpias. Now, they offered 2 versions of the pork adobe this time around - the plate and bowl with the plate being a dollar more. When I ordered the pork adobe plate last time, it came in a standard to-go box with the pork, rice, and 2 or 3 lumpias. What I received this time was their bowl and no additional lumpias beyond what I ordered separately (9 mini lumpias). I was confused when I received my order but I wasn't going to make a big deal over a dollar difference. The staff here was great and helped me pack my lumpia order into a box when I told them that I was going to take everything home to eat instead of at the event. Many of their items were served in small paper trays so this was very much appreciated for them to be able to help me bring everything home easier. The pork adobe was exactly as I remembered last time; absolutely delicious and tender. Sadly, I had a big bay leaf in my order and accidently started to eat it as I didn't see it. That was a not so nice surprise. The lumpias were really miniature but packed a lot of great flavor. If I can buy them on a regular basis, I would happily do so. I hope I can run into them again soon!

Calamansi juice is a rare sight so I was excited to try it. Instead, I got a 8.4 oz grocery can where calamansi isn't even the main ingredient. Even worse, it was at room temperature when the weather was hot. The BBQ skewer was cold and thus not very enjoyable. At least the lumpia was warm and crispy. I was supposed to get 9 but I really got 8.5 since one of the lumpias was half the size of the others. Overall, I had better value for food at other food trucks.
