I'm blessed to have this ramen place down the street from me. I love going solo for a quick lunch. Their lunch special pricing is a bonus. Great staff.

Food 8/10 Quite surprised by how much I enjoyed the ramen. The miso ramen had a relatively thicker broth, nicely portioned chashu, eggs, bamboo shoots, and a thicker noodle. Usually, I prefer thinner noodles and light broth, and despite this bowl being the opposite, I enjoyed my meal. The agedashi tofu was also not bad, but not the best I've had Atmosphere 7/10 A very standard ramen shop interior. They had these electronic kiosks for ordering, which reminded me of Asia. Service 8/10 Efficient.

I have ordered takeout here before but this was my first time doing dine-in for dinner with my boyfriend. It's a very intimate setting with cool Japanese lanterns and lighting above head. Would not recommend for large groups but for 2-4 people would be great since it's a quiet and low key setting. No reservation needed at dinnertime Friday night but it was almost full when we walked in, no wait. We ordered the signature Tamashii ramen, unagi don and the okonomiyaki. Everything was delicious! Broth was flavorful. Portion sizes were good and the service was very quick. They also kept refilling my water frequently. Since I drink tons of water when I go out to eat, I definitely appreciate the attention to that during the meal. Great intimate place for date night or catching up with friends. It's a lively enough vibe with upbeat music but quiet enough to have a conversation with those around you.

Ambiance is awesome! Very warm and cozy :) Wait staff is attentive and always filled up our glasses of water. Takoyaki Verdict: Good! A little heavy on the batter but lots of good flavor, the lemon is a must! Miso Ramen Verdict: Good! The pork was delish but wish we got a little more :( noodles were perfect! Nice and chewy!! The ground meat on the bottom was ok. Overall great experience! Would go there again but would order different things from the menu.

Delicious ramen that has decent portion and reasonable price in the area. We went there for dinner and service was quick. You can also get beer, sake as you wish. I got the ramen with spicy miso soup and it was better than I expected- miso not overpowering the spice. The ambiance is nice for hanging out and catching up with friends as it's not noisy. Would go again!

Slightly better than Tamashii Blue, its counterpart in LIC. The broth is a little thicker and tastier. Noodles are classic thin round ramen noodles. Chashu was tender and fatty. Service was quick and nice. Busy atmosphere with a warm vibe but we were seated quickly without a reservation on a weekend.

Located right in the center of busy Austin Street, this gem was a great choice for delicious and filling ramen at very affordable prices. Before you enter, you'll find yourself staring at the wooden, cozy storefront that screams "comfort food". To start off, we had the kara-age and takoyaki which were good with a drizzle of lemon. However, the main star was my kara miso ramen with pork, which had a hearty miso soup base with a dab of spice sauce. There are also non-pork options such as the seafood yaki bowl, which my friend had. Despite the full house on a friday evening, the service was great and very attentive. We left with a full stomach and a warm soul. Highly recommend :)

Spicy Chicken Teriyaki. I asked for my extra spicy and it was the absolute PERFECT amount of spice.

Since visiting NY, this is the ONLY restaurant we've gone to twice. We loved it the first time and it was even better the second time. The food is outstanding. The woman who works there, I'm guessing she's the owner is so nice. Upon entering, you're immediately seated and given enough time to look through the extensive menu. We never felt rushed, but the food comes out super quick. The restaurant is small, but doesn't feel cramped. The bathrooms are clean and cutely decorated. I really wish we lived in Astoria so we could frequent Tamashii Ramen regularly.

Tamashii Ramen is a cozy and welcoming restaurant. I loved the Ramen experience. My daughter had the Tamashii Ramen and I had the Curry Ramen. the curry flavor was just right. It was lite and so delicious, with bite size fried chicken and veggies. I will definitely be back soon. Can't wait to try everything on the menu. The staff were so nice, I say 10/10 for overall excellent service and food.

Very quick service I do highly enjoy here. The ambiance is very nice as well, many pictures of the food menu items hanging on the walls. Surprisingly, I was shocked by the overwhelming menu. Usually ramen restaurants I tend to go to only have so many items, so that's a plus. However, I only rated a 3 due to the food. It was very delicious however I feel that it lacked flavor. Even the additional chili oil was giving a sesame flavor. However my palate is different from others so I will still recommend to those who are trying ramen for the first time.

Yes. We have finished and re-opened this week!! Thank you for your waiting and please come and visit to see out new look. :)

Are you guys still on renovation?

Yes. Our work mostly finished but there are some parts that we need to work on. We will reopen soon !

    Are they halal?

No.. our food is not Halal

    Any gluten free ramen?

Rice is naturally gluten free, so rice noodles which what ramen is should be too. I would double check with wait stuff before ordering.

They also have an ice cream shop here (Taku Parlour) that is available (but unfortunately, sold out when we went). We got their soy garlic wings and their ramen. Their wings were good but a lot of the pieces were really small. And, although the pork chashu in the ramen (I got their wantan men) was super soft and tender, I felt that the ramen was way too salty for me. Moreover, it doesn't come with an egg and if you do decide to get an egg add-on for $3, it comes in an egg cup and hard-boiled (as opposed to in the ramen and jammy/soft-boiled). Overall, I thought it was an alright spot, a bit pricer, and I'm not sure I would come back for their food.

I ordered the Dinner sushi combination D - tuna, salmon and white tuna. It came with a not-so-small small garden salad in a decent dressing. One of my table mates got the Bento box with teriyaki salmon and the other got two rolls (Spicy Girl and Cucumber, Avocado, Jalapeño and Scallion). We also ordered a shrimp shumai appetizer (six small, tasty shumai in the serving). Everything was delicious. And the service was outstanding. To be honest, initially we thought we were being rushed because the server came by repeatedly to remove empty plates and the wrappers from our chopsticks - but we quickly realized that this was really extremely attentive and great service. Throughout the meal, our water glasses were refilled numerous times and we were not rushed at all. After our leisurely meal, we ordered a Green Tea Mille Crepe and an order of fresh fruit. The crepe was very good, although the topping of green tea was a bit thick for us and we scraped it off and ate the rest. The fruit was fresh and delicious. We truly felt very welcomed and valued as customers here. We didn't drink anything other than water, so our bill was only about $100 (before tip) for the 2 hours we were there, but even as we left we felt valued by the serving staff and sushi chefs. An excellent meal and experience.

I always order their "obento box", which comes with a choice of an entrée from their daily-rotating list (so cute how they write them on a few chalkboards that they move around the restaurant for whoever's ordering). Everything I've ordered has always been delicious, from the various fish dishes (salmon / arctic char are particular favourites), the stir-fried pork, and their sushi rolls. The salad is invariably so fresh, and the small side of obanzai is always a treat :) Price point is unparalleled -- I think the bento was priced at $12 when I first came a few years ago, and it's still $12 now. Such a lovely cute restaurant -- service is fast and friendly, and the interior, while a bit small, is definitely very cosy and has that unique rustic Japanese aesthetic to it (including a lot of their tableware). This is definitely a must-try in the area, and I will no doubt be back very soon!

Cuisine: 6 Service: 7…read moreDecor: 7 Value: 6 Overall: 6 I have to preface that, if I had reviewed Hibino in the past, they likely would have received 4 stars. Unfortunately, my latest experience was such a letdown that I have to average that into this review. My usual order here over 10+ years has always been their Kaisen Don, which had some of the better quality sushi rice available in Queens. If you don't think sushi rice is important, then skip my review. If you do, then know that my preference is slight warm rice that does not clump together, with a nice touch of vinegar. Hibino seems to get this part right regularly, but not this past Sunday. It was cold, clumpy, and super light on seasoning. Furthermore, as soon as the bowl arrived, I was a bit skeptical since it's not the usual square box filled with premium goodies. Instead, it was a smaller round bowl with relatively common pieces of sashimi. In the past, there were toro, ikura, uni and scallop, but none were present on Sunday. The only premium pieces I received was the spotted prawn. The rest were salmon, yellowtail, bluefin tuna, sea bass, and arctic char. More importantly, some of the sashimi pieces were somewhat mushy and slightly fishy, not the best quality. On the other hand, we also ordered their Chirashi, which had seared toro, yellowfin tuna, salmon belly, yellowtail belly, shrimp, and flying fish roe. Between the proteins and rice is a layer of shredder egg. Sadly, rice was still cold and lacked flavor, but the egg did help a bit. Though I prefer the thin slices of sashimi in the Kaisen Don over the chunky pieces of fish in the Chirashi, I did prefer the latter on that day. Bottom line, I will give them another chance, but the downgrade on the quality of rice and premium seafood in the Kaisen Don was a major disappointment. Praying my next visit restores my faith in the restaurant.
