I've never had a bad experience here, but I have a major sweet tooth. The thick frostings and fact that a lot of the cupcakes they make are filled inside with frosting and a ton on top can be a lot for an average sweets consumer even with the more sour or fruity flavored items. They also make other bakery items and beautiful custom cakes for graduations, weddings and such. It's a little more expensive for the area, but the quality of the items, freshness, and service are worth filling a box every once in awhile to treat yourself. Their pink boxes have become a recognizable object in Oshkosh! In a larger city the lack of no lot and further away street parking might be a hindrance, but being younger and able having to carry items halfway down a block hasn't impeded impulse stopping to buy. There is 1-2 spots of short term (15 min) parking in front, but every time I've been there they've been taken. The Lick the Bowl cupcake is my favorite option! read more

Cutest bakery I've been to in Oshkosh. The atmosphere was friendly, and there were many customers in the store. I ordered a gluten free wedding cake cupcake and it was delicious! They also had really adorable Taylor swift cookies too. read more

Delicious cupcakes! Stopped here after eyeing it up every time we went to New York Deli next door. It was pretty crowded (it was a Saturday afternoon), and I'm glad to see they had business. We didn't have to wait to be helped, as someone came over to us right away. She was super patient while we oohed and aahed over all the flavors and tried to narrow it down to a half dozen. We finally settled on some flavors and getting them boxed up and paid for was super easy. I don't remember all the flavors we got, though there was something chocolate, white wedding, Bavarian, and cherry cheesecake (I think)? They were all delicious. The cake was super moist, not dry, and the fillings were also well done so you got a balance of filling and cake. The frosting was good, maybe a touch sweet for me but I tend to not like super sweet frosting so it might be perfect for others. I can't remember the price for a half dozen cupcakes, though I do remember it being pretty reasonable for the quality. It isn't an everyday treat, for sure, but good value for the great cupcakes. They had so many other delicious looking offerings I can't wait to go back and try more! read more

Stopped by to purchase Birthday treats (mini cupcakes). I was charged twice the posted price. When I brought this to the cashiers attention (who could see the sign from where they were standing) they would not change the price to the displayed price. They just said that the sign was incorrect. I ended up cancelling the entire transaction. This was my first time vising Tamara's and it will definitely be my last. read more

These folks care about their bakery. Always creating new Sunday's, cupcakes, donuts, ice cream and coffee. The staff is positive and ready to help! The Cherry Chip Dippees are to die for. Huge fan read more

Stopped today and purchased some of their buttercream sugar cookies. The frosting was delicious but the cookies, not so much. They had no flavor at all. read more

very bad customer service and we're waiting here for at least 30 minutes to get 3 açaí bowls with no urgency from the workers

We were so excited to stop by for a treat. The place was empty and still they rushed our order. Gave the shortest possible answers to our questions and we're rude while doing it. The cupcakes weren't even that good and the coffee was bad. Just skip it. read more

Fantastic pastry treats. I took them to my customer and they were impressed. Everything was delicious.

There's a lot of room for improvement in Tamara's cupcakes and dessert offerings. Although beautiful, they were bland and not worth the calories nor price. read more

Good, but not fantastic. I love cake, so I never thought I would say something was too sweet, but these cupcakes were a bit too sugary for my taste. Also, they're a bit pricey. My first (and last) experience with purchasing cupcakes was disappointing. I wanted to surprise my daughter with a cupcake, but when I got home and opened the box, I saw that one of the cupcakes had been dropped into the box, because it was upside down. This did not happen on the ride home. I was very careful in handling the box, and there was no frosting on the lid as if it had been bouncing around. I just would have appreciated being told this happened, even if it was the last one of that flavor, since I could have chosen a different flavor. Their honesty would have made me a satisfied customer. read more

OMG these cupcakes are to-die-for. They're huge so we ended up splitting a bunch. I'm still sad I couldn't try more. They are so fluffy and delicious, frosting on top and the inside. The peanut butter cup was my favorite... that peanut butter frosting was PERFECT. Also tried the cookie dough and grasshopper, which were both also amazing. I'm actually sad now thinking about these cupcakes because we're thousands of miles away. I want more peanut butter frosting and want to try the rest... I mean, what does a cotton candy cupcake taste like??? We'll definitely have to return on our next visit in the area. read more

Stopped at their Fox River Mall kiosk, I can't the girl working seemed to thrilled to pulled away from her Candy Crush game. I have called their bakery a few times wanting to gather some information and I am told to email them because they very busy and will get back to me via email. Well if your to busy for a phone call then I would assume business is booming and wouldn't be able to take my order. read more

Flavors amazing. I love the business so much itself, i've always had an amazing experience at tamara's! All of the cupcakes, cookies and cakes are beautifully done and not sloppy in the least. Definitely recommend when you're in the area! read more

Tamara's baking acumen is spectacular! I can't give my full review just yet as I haven't seen the final product...still a few weeks away. What I can tell you is that from her initial consultation to the design process and finally the tastings you'll be glad you chose her. She really is a guru when it comes to her cake flavors, fillings, frostings, creams, etc. Tamara is beyond an artist and culinary master. She's kind, easy going and always full of inspiration. We drove from Milwaukee of which is where our wedding will be and the choice was made from the moment we saw her designs and first met Tamara. You may encounter a bit of a wait if you go on a weekend even with an appointment as the locals flock to her bake shop for a taste of the days incredible cupcake flavorings. read more

Stopped here with my friend after lunch for a treat, we were surprised by the huge selection of cupcakes they had. We ended up getting a couple for ourselves and some for my parents. We ended up sharing a "purple velvet" cupcake, it had a cream cheese frosting and chocolate ganache filling- it was incredibly moist. They were delicious and overall a great price. read more

Tamara's the Cake Guru - Blueberry cheesecake and snickers cupcakes - Bakeries Near Me - Oshkosh, Wisconsin

Tamara's is the best! They just opened a second location in Oshkosh and it is super cute. Tamara's offers all kinds of treats and I have never been disappointed with anything I've tried. I must say, the cupcakes are my favorite. They are massive and so delicious! Sometimes the cupcakes almost look too pretty to eat :) I would also definitely recommend the macaroons! read more

Stopped in to the College Ave location in Appleton and bought 6 beautifully decorated cupcakes. The store is very tiny, slightly larger than a closet to be exact, but it does the trick. Of course, it smells delicious and the woman working was very nice. The cupcakes were packaged nicely in a pretty pink box. There were roughly 10 varieties of cupcakes and some other odds and ends like cookies and cookie dough. I got there later in the day and the lady told me everything had pretty much been "wiped out". The cupcakes were good, but not great. You could definitely tell they had been sitting all day and were at the end of their fresh point. Maybe next time I would try earlier in the morning, but over all not worth the cost if you're looking for a great tasting cupcake and not just a pretty presentation. read more

Every time I order a cake or cookies from Tamara's, they consistently hit it out of the park. The designs of their cakes are beautiful and creative while the taste is outstanding. I even joined their rewards system and get free cookies and cupcakes often. I always recommend tamaras to everyone! read more

My favorite cupcake place in the entire world! They have so many options that it is so hard to pick just one, so leave with more than one. They did a wonderful job making beautiful cupcakes for my wedding, and even made a specialty one for me. I have been a fan for years and everyone who I have recommended this place to has raved about it and recommended it to their friends. It's an award-winning bakery for a reason! read more

Horrible customer service. Cupcakes are dry no flavor and too much attention to how it looks rather than flavor and making a moist cupcake. I'll go to la sures next time. read more

I can't rate the taste or quality at Tamara's because I've never tried them, but their customer service is severely lacking. I sent an email two weeks ago and never received a response. I understand it is wedding season so they may be too be busy to take a simple birthday cake order, but at least have the decency to respond. read more

We stopped into their new Westowne location - each of us ordered a different flavored cupcake - they were all delicious! The cupcakes are huge & are super moist. I also tried one of their Caramel blended coffee drinks - oh my gosh, so yummy! The staff was helpful and attentive, even stopped at our table a couple times to make sure we were happy with our treats & to ask if there was anything else they could get for us. The space is welcoming & nicely decorated. Our only issue was which cupcake to try! They have so many flavors to pick from. We will definitely be going back! Thank you to Logan and all the girls at Tamara's ( Wish i could rememer all their names!) for the wonderful service! read more

Visited Tamara's on the recommendation of a local. Delicious! The red velvet cupcake is my personal favorite but there is a fairly wide variety of sweet treats to choose from. Prices are not unreasonable but make no mistake, these are premium treats and not grocery store pastries. Definitely worth a visit... or three! read more

FANTASTIC Cupcakes, many creative and delicious flavors, everyone of them was YUMMY! we ordered many flavors for a party last week and they all were great, Highly recommended and good prices. we will return as we heard their cookies are delicious too. read more

I give them props for having really cool-looking cakes and cupcakes. The staff was always friendly each time I came. I've sampled about 10 different flavors of cupcakes because I keep hoping that the flavor would match the appearance but they never do. I haven't tried their cake, however. I'd be open to it but I'm fine with Manderfield's cake for now. read more

Tamara and her team certainly whip up some amazing desserts! I had the most delicious cupcakes, mini-cupcakes, and cookies displayed at my wedding on rustic wooden stumps; all of the bakery, stands, and names were delivered and set-up beautifully. The first time I had cake from Tamara was for a friends wedding and I knew I had to have her do my wedding. My wedding cake was gorgeous and people raved about the cheesecake/cake mix, carrot cake, boston cream layers in my cake. Just this weekend we had some cupcakes from her at "The Paine". Those reminded me to write a review. If you are looking for a wedding cake or just some special cupcakes stop in because they really make the best! read more

I was excited to try the much-talked-about cupcakes, but was sadly disappointed. I wanted a vanilla cupcake with vanilla icing so I chose a french vanilla flavor. The icing (which was overdone...way too much for that size cupcake) tasted like a sugared lard ball and the cake itself had no vanilla flavor at all and was horribly dry. Flat cake with sugared lard was what I got. The cookies I purchased where hard and covered in the same sugar cement too and lacked any flavor. I will NOT be going back. read more

Bought some for work, bought some for girls's night, bought some to celebrate my kids good grades, bought some for my gluten free sister, the list shall continue. Confectionary delight, these cupcakes have to be eaten with a fork. They are each an adventure in tastes and delightful fillings. My sister is a foodie, and she loved her gluten free cheesecake and her gluten free cupcakes! I delight in surprising people with these amazing bundles of joy. At only $2.50 it is a great way to say "I love you" or "I am proud of you" or "Thank you!" They are unique and something different! read more

Great cupcakes and fantastic service! Plus they always have fun giveaways on Facebook.

Such a sweet place to get all kinds of Goodies. I have learned to ask what is fresh, because it has happened before that it looks so yummy in the store but I get home and it's stake, hard and not not yummy. Also the staff is not trained well. Most can't tell you what's all inside most of the concoctions. But I try them and am sometimes surprised sometimes not. I continue to go back with low expectations, and they nail it every time:) read more

I ordered the mother of chocolate cakes for my wife's birthday. I ordered and paid for it over the phone since we were from out of town (we came in for the air show). The cake was moist and chocolatey with buttercream icing and topped off with chocolate ganache and chocolate chips. Man it was delish. I thought the $32 cost was very reasonable for such a spectacular cake! Staff (Anna) was always friendly over the phone. Next year, I'll be back. Hopefully, the construction on Oregon Street will be finished. read more

For the second year in a row I have ordered cupcakes at the last minute for my son's birthday (yes, I am always running late!) Tamara's takes my order with a smile, ( I hear it on the phone!) gets everything baked as if I ordered 2 months ago and then delivers it for his birthday on time and fresh as can be! Last year we got a selection of different flavors. This year I went all Lemon Poppyseed which was the one he liked best last yea. They were gone in 2 seconds he said! Thank you Thank you Thank you Tamara's As a Mom far from my kid,s you are now my official go to for all baked goods I can't deliver myself. Had our wedding cake from this place, perfect in every aspect. Selection and choices of baked goods are perfect. Prices are fair. Doesn't take itself too seriously. Cookies. My goodness, you guys just have to make amazing delicious cookies. Those are my weakness and I'd like a never ending supply. Tried your salted caramel white chocolate drizzle cookies (i think thats what they were). Man they were just amazing. Sweet but that's how I like it and lots of good caramel flavor. Texture was perfect mix of soft but also a crunch. Because loving all the flavors, I find this place bakes with a good quality and consistency. Never dry, never stale, but full of flavor and a good texture. Sorry to read silly reviews that lower the rating because they didn't like a flavor inside a cupcake or wanted to use a credit card for less than $5 charge.
