At first, i believed that the staff here were really friendly over the phone. I made a courtesy call to see if it was okay to come in without an appointment, and was informed to give her about 10 minutes. I arrived and she said a few minutes. I kept myself distracted by looking at the different colors of polishes. I patiently waited a few more minutes and was told another 5 minutes. It wasn't till about 10 minutes later someone started the spa bath for my pedicure. She sat me in the spa chair and told me to plunge my feet into the water. I guess the only good thing was the temperature of the water. The spa ran for about 5 minutes and shut off. Everyone was busy, one customer even got two people working on them. I sat there as the water turned luke warn to cold. No one said anything or gave me any assurance that I would be serviced soon. everyone was still focused on their individual customer. I waited for a total of about 40 minutes and finally decided this was not worth my time, nor money. The moment I pulled out my keys to imply that I was leaving, was when they all of a sudden got defensive and assured I was next. It really isn't of the customer's best interest to be waiting there and finally receive acknowledgement when dissatisfied. I calmly left the store telling them it was okay, but was highly dissatisfied with the courtesy. What I would have appreciated was to have been told a more precise estimate, not to be deceived by wasting my time. read more

Second time coming here getting gel nails. First time, he painted over cuticles that it was lifted and had a bump, but it did last about three weeks. Came back again since price is $20 for gel nails which is a good deal, BUT this time there was lint trapped underneath and he painted over it. (See pic on pinky nail.) read more

Prices are reasonable which is why I tried them for a second time. I always bring my own polish (Essie or OPI) to ensure I have quality polish and the color I want. Was out running errands and did not want to return home because I knew if I did, I wasn't going to head out again. Had to use their cheap polishes and after two days, every nail is chipped. In two days!!! Have not done anything to cause this level chipping ... I knew I would regret it when I saw their color / brand selection :(. I would come here all the time but the last few times have been horrible, my pedicure was horrible left my toe nails crooked my nails were terrible they looked like a toddler polished them and were uneven my friend even asked "what happened to your nails, they look awful" Also I have gotten cut the last few times. The most resent was the last straw for me when the nail technician cut me and did not clean it or apply anything she used her hand to wipe the blood and definitely did not clean the tools after and went to the next person so gross and unsanitary. read more

This is my favorite nail shop. All of their service is good. Sometimes it can be busy, but that is is why I go during the week instead of a friday or the weekend. Even though they take walk ins, I like to call just to see if my favorite people are available and so if it happens to get busy right before I get there, I will still take priority over other walk ins. Hands down my favorite nail shop to visit. I'm always seated right away and all the nail techs are extremely friendly and personable. I always like to get the gel manicures since I am very active and want my manicures to last a while. The work that is done is very detailed and they have hundreds of nail colors to choose from, even a wide variety in the gel sets which are sometimes hard to find. I've had art work done and it is very good. When I want acrylics I usually go for the clear set, that way I can interchange the colors when I want to. The prices are only SLIGHTLY higher than other nail shops but it goes with the saying "You get what you pay for" read more

I guess I should have checked in with Yelp first. I do not live in the Carson area and is here for a limited time. I needed a mani/pedi and I REALLY should have checked the reviews first. This place was a recommendation to me. I got a mani/pedi - There was blood, but not a lot. This is why I ALWAYS go to the spa to get my mani/pedi done because the work is more relaxing and consistent and yes, they do talk to you. I am sorry, but if I am patronizing your establishment you should talk to me. I did make conversation with the guy that was doing my nails. The outcome was fairly decent. He DID NOT massage my feet, my legs only. He DID NOT even give me a hand massage. My brother was like why are your hands so dry? lol I don't like the upselling of these smaller place. He kept asking me if I wanted gel when I already said no. I also got a chin wax. Thumbs down! I paid 7 bucks for this lady to wax ONLY my upper chin and not underneath where I really needed. Then I was laying there on the table telling her that there is still prickly hairs underneath my chin. She was like no, no, nothing is there. I got all. I kept telling her three times. Then I was okay. Well I know never to come to this place again. It was my first time there. They never saw me before ever. What a bad first impression. I still have to go home and tweezer out the hairs that are still there. But also the waxing helps to lift the top layer of the epidermis to smooth out some of the scarring I had. I love the gel nail polish colors they cry here and they always have a matching non-gel Polish. I love the way my nails are shaped when I decide on acrylic nails and three never too thick either. The gel nail polish is long lasting even on my natural nails. The thing I've noticed lately is that they are getting dirty. The last thing I want is to pick up a nail fungus from a nail salon. The nail tech brought out her tools and pulled one from the package. She use the tools on me and then put it back in the pack without sterilizing them first ugh! Pedicures are reduced to simply soaking your feet in water with a plastic bag in the tub. Forget a massage! Manicures are polish only. I used to go here for years and they were pretty good but the price was inconsistent, for the exact same service was never the same amount 2 times in a row but I went because they did a pretty good job and was reasonable at the time...then Covid hit and I stopped going for awhile. I went once in the last 2 years and they were still pretty good however there were times that it was better than others. But the reason I am complaining this time is horrible...I went for my birthday on April 27 3 days before my wedding to get a mani/pedi....one of the girls that I have never had before worked on both my hands and feet, Tammy never touched me and she does a great job most of the time. I believe the girl I had was Sara...she did a piss poor job. None of the nails were painted all the way to the cuticle, I had navy blue with white tips, she didn't use the normal paint to make the white tips she used white polish and they are all lumpy, the nails weren't smooth at all, and I don't know why but every time I go in there whoever works on me manages to cut my skin with the dremel tool... And within 3 days of the wedding which would have been 6 days after they were done they all start popping off. I have had to keep them glued myself just to keep them on every day. When it comes to my toes, I have had to have 2 toes on each foot with acrylics. ALL OF THEM were rough around the edges like she didn't even file them. They are a solid color so there was no issue with white lines. When it comes to massage, what massage, she was done by the time it took me to text 2 sentences on my phone. And to top it off...the last time I was there I didn't pay more than $50 or $60ish with tip, I know that for a fact because I always wrote it down in my calendar book...it cost me $98 before tip. I understand inflation because of covid but seriously. A shit job for that much. And when I brought it to Tammy's attention she pretty much blew it off by saying that it was because I got glitter on my ring fingers....I DIDN'T ASK FOR GLITTER ON MY RING FINGERS, I said I wanted silver, expecting to get silver polish. When I asked how much extra that was Tammy told me $5 each nail....well if the girl had told me that in the beginning I would have said no I wanted silver polish. Tammy was not even apologetic about the situation....I will probably NEVER GO BACK THERE. This is not the first time I have been dissatisfied with the shop. read more

This place is cheap and then they try to swindle you. Came in because of the 15 full set found out that only applies to super short square nails. Anything else is 25, they are very rough in how she handled my nails, which were weak after removing another set, a very rushed job spend a lot of time running around doing other things. Probably won't be returning even though they used to be alright, I don't recommend this place anymore because of how it feels. The lady in charge on the weekend is a rip off artist. I have watched her make up prices. They charge you to remove you gel polish when you get a fill if your not getting gel polish again. I DON'T UNDERSTAND! How can you charge me for a service that is expected, I'm getting a fill. They make me not want gel polish any more. When you ask for the fee for the removal Nancy can't tell you. But I feel the need to leave one now because I'm very upset about the quality I spent over $50 to have my nails done with gel, and they peeled in less than a week. I'm very disgusted. The salon itself is quite dirty and they don't disinfect the foot tubs. I waited for a long time to have my nails done because they employees were busy babysitting the owners child.
