I had asked why the increase when they gave me the cost and the guy said he only gave me the cost of the parts, WTF!! Why not give the total cost of the parts and labor with tax. The job was good and the service was fast but the sticker shock was bad. When I ask how much I want the total. Now I guess it was my fault for not asking for the total but I did feel there was a bit of a misdirection from the salesman.

Most important and noteworthy these boys just jumped at the chance 2X (because I had neglected to bring my wheel lock key that Honda City his in my ownership folder ... yeah, that's where it belongs). I waited until the next morning to fix it, and the tire had gone "flat as a pancake". I called 7 places in Nassau and surprisingly 6 of them said they didn't have the tire I needed, or the machine to balance it. This was Meineke/Mavis that told me this. Two of them recommended Al's tire but specifically said ask for Georgie. I thought it was weird but I called. Georgie asked a few questions on the current tires and said bring it in to see if a replacement was needed. (not some BS sales-pitch). I stated its damage is close to side-wall & I asked if he could order a new one just in case. The guy said yes & literally got the sport tire the next day. I showed up next day 15 minutes before he opened. His staff looked at my old tire & showed me hole on side-wall. They "CLEARLY" explained my options & started to the work fo replacing it. Georgie showed up about 7 minutes later and confimred everything (with a little more detail on my tire & what probably happened). 5 stars for this dude and his company. I ordered the tires per other recommendations from Tire Rack mid morning on Thursday and they had arrived by mid day on Friday allowing my car to be serviced early Saturday morning. Instead of actually taking responsibility for the situation that he acknowledged his shop had caused, Ryan recommended I bring my axle to another shop to get a new boot at my own expense, and said he would not help me whatsoever in repairing the damaged axle, even if I supplied the parts. To add insult to injury, the leaking axle boot has flung grease all over my brand new suspension parts that I had installed just before the alignment. I really used to love this place, but frankly this is very unscrupulous behavior and will probably not come back after 5 years of being a customer here. Update: Just got home to find that the other axle boot was also melted the same way as the driver's side one. With labor, this is ~$1500 of damage to my vehicle, and they are not helping me with any of it.
