Homemade Jabugo Ham croquettes 1,60€. I don't recommend it. Although it's not the worst I've had.

Based on my experience I do not recommend this restaurant at all what so ever. I have never been disappointed by a so called Argentinian restaurant up until now. The service was bad, sat me in the corner, when I didn't even misbehave while there were more available tables. The drinks were the two worst drinks I've ever had in my entire life. They either don't have a blender or don't know how to use one. The drinks were a piña colada and a daiquiri. Both of which at the very least should be blended. I understand the strength will vary. But the taste was bad despite that. Moving on to the food. I began with a handmade Jubugo ham croquette that was not good. Not to mention too mushy and on the creamy side 1,60€. Following that was a dish of Galician style octopus with smoked paprika and extra virgin olive oil Jose Style, 9,95€. If you like octopus as I do, then you will be disappointed. I don't recommend it. It tasted worse than it looks. I don't mean to appear harsh during this review, however, this was from my experience and my wife. The only thing in my opinion that wasn't bad was the burger "La Generosa" with Goat cheese and caramelized onions 9,80€. The caramelized onions were hardly existent but still not bad. Overall, I'd avoid this place since there are many other options in the near vicinity.

This is the Taller de Tapas that's located down the old silversmith's street in the Born district. The Building containing this modern, comfortable and office worker-friendly Tapas place dates from the 16th Century and was once a Nun's Convent. It's a fun place to eat and an interesting place to watch people. In our case, there was a table full of boisterous British Lads at the next table. They were either in Town as Tourists or maybe to catch the FC Barcelona/Seville match that night? Gayle and I remember Taller de Tapas 3 different ways: - Sometimes slow service. - A time in our trip when we had both gotten on each others nerves and we took the opportunity to be honest about our feelings, talk it out, and move forward. - Various delicious dishes, of which every one struck a special note. Our tasty choices included: - Salad w/ Nuri's Goats' Cheese, Quince Jelly, and Toasted Almonds - Grilled Squid - Sauteed Spinach, Iberian Pancetta, and Chickpeas - Grilled Green Asparagus With Virgin Olive Oil - Sizzling Chorizos Braised in Asturian Cider - Patates Braves (Potatoes w/ Garlic Mayo & Spicy Smoked Paprika Sauce - Catalan Creme Brulee (Dessert) - Almond Tart With Sweet "Meus Amores" Wine (Dessert) The last 2 experiences together made our Saturday Lunch a treasured 5 Star memory.

I don't get a chance to drink sangria's very often but the ones they serve here are was great. That being said, the folks at the table next to me didn't appear to be.enjoying their white sangria near.as mush as I enjoyed my red. The seafood paella was made fresh in house so there's a short (but worth it) wait for it to come out. I started with the grilled Octopus tapas which was most excellent. This review should be taken wirh a grain of salt given that I'm a tourist and not a local.

After dinner we were still hungry and were craving wings so we looked up Chicken Wings. This was one of the few places that popped up. The kitchen was about to close, but we were able to get 2 orders or wings in along with some beers and wine. The drinks were good, but the wings were pretty weak. They were tiny and the flavor was just meh. The service was good though. I did appreciate the friendliness and the quick delivery of beverages. Overall it was ok for me.

Nestled in an unassuming network of cobble stone lined alley ways are hidden gems worth discovering. We came looking for tapas, paella, sangria; and we found just that. Location: Plaza de España is within a 5 min walk, blocks away from shopping, and 30 minutes from the airport by way of shuttle. Used Google Maps with several sharp turns to find this local favorite. Service: the owner employs his pet Pomeranian, that follows the wait staff unconditionally. This is a no frills restaurant; grab a seat anywhere you like, and order off the menu. What we ate: Table service - pitted olives; briny and herbaceous. So delicious as an appetizer. Crisp Potatoes - served with aioli and red pepper sauce; so simple yet so comforting. Fried Calamari - can't go wrong with crispy calamari. Pork & Mushroom Paella - I know we're used to seeing seafood, but pork and mushroom with crispy rice is different, bold, and worth each bite. Sangria Blanco - I won't lie, it was heaven with the first sip, and it left me wanting more. Unlike its red cousin; white sangria is lighter and more fruit forward. So refreshing! After 18 hours of transiting; this was a delectable experience.

Ziryab seemed to fit the bill, so we made plans to stop here during our first night in the city. Ziryab is located close to the Gothic Quarter, on side street. It's kind of inconspicuous from the outside, but the interior gives way to a really welcoming space. The restaurant is separated into two main areas, with an earth-tone color scheme that has a rustic, almost cave-like aesthetic. The high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows keep the dining room open and spacious. The tapas menu had a good selection, and we decided on several items: pan con tomate, sweet potato rolls, chicken cannelloni, bacon-wrapped figs, croquettes, falafel, and a charcuterie board. All the tapas were great - my favorites were the chicken cannelloni, pan con tomate, and the charcuterie board. The cannelloni especially was a standout - definitely a unique dish, and the chicken was super flavorful. We opted for dessert, and got the feta whip cheesecake - this was great as well. The combination of tang and sweet was a good finisher to our meal. Service was great - everyone was friendly and our dishes were served at a good pace. Overall, I'm glad I tried out Ziryab - the tapas were delicious and atypical of ones you find elsewhere in Barcelona. I would have no qualms returning here for another meal.

I had no idea how huge and elegant the restaurant was until I went inside to use the bathroom before leaving. We were there just after 7 pm so it wasn't as busy as I imagine it will get later, because in Barcelona, people don't have dinner until 9 or 10 PM. We ordered fresh salmon with dill, coroquetas de jamón iberico, a cod fritter, and chicken cannelloni with foie gras and black truffle sauce. We also ordered the pan with tomate, of course to soak up the truffle sauce. The cannelloni was amazing! I mean it melted in your mouth amazing!! After our snacks... We ordered dessert. We ordered their homemade Belgian chocolate ice cream, which is hands-down, the best chocolate ice cream I've ever eaten. And we also ordered their version of a crème brûlée called crema Catalonya! Both desserts were amazing, however, I highly recommend the Belgian chocolate ice cream. Overall, the experience was amazing and I hope to pop in again before we leave. Enjoy!

It's done so right, juicy tangy, bursting with flavors and the pita in the salad is made into a curly flower and gives a delicious crunch. We liked the dish of garbanzo and yogurt a bit less, as it was quite heavy and lacked flavor. My son was very pleased with shish tavouk with chicken, and I loved my halloumi dish.
