Another fine dinner third time here in the last 2 months! To start they bring you FRESH homemade still warm chips with salsa that has great flavor and just enough heat. I'm in love with pupusas and they don't disappoint here good variety on choices as well. Hubby always has the shrimp cocktail on steroids picture included he says the seafood taste fresh almost like just off the boat. Homemade corn tortillas yummy, street tacos are great and my go to. I probably need to expand my horizons as I always get asada tacos but it melts in your mouth so.... Visited Takero Mucho for dinner, the place was not packed at all. I ordered the cecina which was pretty great, my coworker had the burrito and the chorizo/egg taco and loved it. This place is definitely a hole in the wall, but we were disappointed by the service. It was all over the place, as the waitress was also the cashier. She gave our food to the wrong party, and also got my order wrong. I would go back for the cecina and to try other dishes but the service needs to improve. I decided to try this spot on a whim while waiting for clothes to wash at the laundromat nearby. I ordered safe (3 carne asada tacos) and I specifically asked for Chile de Arbol y tomatillo salsa for the tacos. The tacos are freaking delicious. They put a little too much onion for my taste but they were great overall. The salsa is very hot so if you order it the way I did be warned or just go with the basic salsa they give you. Closest to Southern California Mexican I have found in my year of living in the area. Not a fan of the beans or red salsa. The green salsa has got to be one of the best ones I've ever had. The carne is not consistent, sometimes it is seasoned way more and some times barely at all. The rice is bomb and does not have the veggies inside( I have a little picky eater in the house) awesome prices. Wish they had fountain soda as an option. Overall I eat here at least once a week and will continue to do so. Everyone should at least give them a try! read more

Cheap and delicious tacos! When I crave tacos always go here! I found this place by accident when looking for the food truck that normally sits in the same parking lot which is also good. Located in a dingy stripmall with a parking lot with more potholes than craters on the moon so be careful. When we walked in I was pleasantly surprised, the inside is very clean and inviting. Looking over the menu I had a difficult time deciding what to have for lunch as everything looked good. Finally decided on carne asada and carnita tacos with a side of beans for both of us and my kids each got a taco, one chicken and one carne asada with one side of rice. We also got drinks and chips and salsa. The carnitas taco was good, not the best I've ever had, but good. The carne asada was not good at all, must of been a horrible cut of meat because it was grisly and chewy and the initial flavor was very mesquite. The beans seemed to be watered down because they were practically soup and they too had a VERY mesquite flavor. The rice was good and the chips were amazing, the best part of the whole meal except the salsa was watered down too, I like some chunk in my salsa, not just salsa flavored water. The fact that I was charged $2.50 for them is outlandish and my total bill was $31, I should have just gone to the food truck parked outside of the liquor store in the same hole ridden parking lot. read more

It is best to make table reservations, because half the tables in the small dining room are decomissioned for distancing purposes. I had a smothered burrito filled with barbacoa and it was big and delicious for just $6.99. The Chile Rellenos are beautiful tender flavor bombs, I could have eaten two more. Now let's get down to real generosity: the corn chips are cut from tortillas and fried fresh -- so you can request them unsalted. The house-made salsa is chunky and thick, such a treat. Service is sincerely friendly and hospitable. I do wish their menu was fully bilingual, because I didn't recognize many of the specialty items. Luckly I had Google on my phone to help. read more

The salsas are exceptional, firery red to a green tomatillo that are so flavorful, you'll put 'em on everything. The tacos are filled with delicious home cooked goodness. The one area where I think needs improvement is the pupusa. Mine were soft and way too under cooked. These do not compare to Tacos Acapulco's pupusa which I think are the finest in the city. This cost the restaurant the fifth star. However, all in all, if you want authentic taqueria food, stop on by here. You'll be glad you did. read more

Good food but service wasn't! I would do take out and not eat in. Party of six and I asked if there was seating for 6, was told by the rude attendant that we could sit where we wanted. In other words, there was no availability to put tables together. We picked the only booth that looked like it could fit and it was tight and I sat in a window. Table of six and we got one basket of chips, was told we would be charged for second basket which was fine, but the basket didn't come for a very long time. (please dont change them lol) I've had the cheese bean and just cheese and the chicharron and bean. The green salsa is yummy and it tastes fresh. The menu had a great selection of traditional dishes. The chips and salsa were amazing. I enjoy when they make the chips fresh and they arrive at the table hot. The pastor and carne asada street tacos were delicious. The Alambre Mixto was also really good. The service was good, but it is slower. However, totally worth the wait.
